Always a good place to visit to get outside and do some activities with the kiddos or purchase some fruit and vegetables. It's not far into Maryland from Delaware so have been frequenting for years.

This is an annual event that went very smoothly, once again. Very timely event and the personnel is friendly and professional. They provided us with hay-less wagons, to accommodate for individuals who have hay allergies. The students had lots of room, a large fire, excellent apple cider and donuts!!

Apple cider donuts were good. A dozen donuts were about $12 and $2 for one. They only have portopotties so I changed my kid's diaper on the grass. Their ice cream sounded good. I heard someone explain how they mash their own fresh fruit to make it.

Filled the $20 bag with apples!!! Be careful, the weight of apples causes the bag to start to stretch.

I come here every year to pick apples. They have implemented a booking policy that you need to register before arriving so you can pick apples. It's like $2.50 a person which is not expensive but something to keep in mind. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking near the orchard. You do need to take a hayride over to the orchard. Check the website to see which apples are picking. I planned my trip around the availability of apples I wanted (crimson crisp). Before getting on the hayride you need to purchase your picking bag. Essentially pick the size that you want to max out on. I got the $20 bag (see my pictures for approximately how many apples fit in bag). Picking apples might not be the most economical way to buy apples but it is very fun and I think the price is worth it. It's mostly kids running the show so please be nice to them :) When I arrived to the field, there were plenty of apples. We were picking at 11am on a Saturday so it was crowded up but unbearable. We picked red delicious, golden delicious, and crimson crisp. Filled our bag and then stopped at the lemonade stand. DO NOT SKIP the apple cider lemonade. Honestly an incredible drink, but a little expensive at $10. We got on the hayride and headed over to the farm store. Parking is a little confusing - the reserve a TON of spot of handicap so you are better off parking on the same side of the road as the apple orchard and crossing the street to the farm store. There are always things I want to get at the farm store but the number one is the apple cider donuts. Absolutely incredible and might have to go back this year to get more. This is my go to for apple picking and I will keep coming back year after year. Thanks milburn for being great!

We love coming to Milburn Orchard. Especially in the fall. On weekends they have food trucks. Get there early tho. Staff is friendly. Love the Halloween decorations around the farm. They also have Apple and different fruits to pick on your own. Don't forget your Apple cider doughnuts and pies inside the supermarket. Lots of selfie backgrounds.

Apple cider donuts are def worth the trip but be prepared for large crowds and long lines. Lots to do for the kids such as apple picking and the Harvest Festival. Gift shop has a great variety of baked desserts and canned goods. I recommend going early during the Fall season. Lots of the different fruit picking also available :)

Fall is too many months away and all I can think about are those apple-cider doughnuts. My family has an annual tradition at Milburn's to U-pick our combined weight in Honeycrisp (limited), Orange Honey (SUPER limited), and Granny Smith apples; stuff as many apple-cider doughnuts in our faces as humanly possible; then go home to make applesauce, apple muffins, apple pie, and apple tart until we're so very, very sick of apples. And that sickness wears off about now every year. We visit Milburn in other seasons, too -- for pumpkins in late October, melons and fruity pineapple and peach salsas in summer -- but it's apple picking season that really gets us excited. My daughter is 9 and just starting to outgrow the farm's fall festival fun, like the corn/hay mazes, trike pit, and animal petting. But she's really enjoyed picking new things to bake and new apple varieties to try. My mom always leaves with fun new dips and sauces, my brother and sister-in-law get homemade treats for their dogs, and my husband can't get enough of the blackberry and apple ciders. Parking can get a little out of hand during peak season, when they open up the fields and you'll see cars parked for what seems like miles across the street from the farm store. But off-peak, if you're lucky, you can get a quick spot right outside the store, grab your goods and be on your way in 15-20 minutes.

An amazing day this past Saturday with all of my family. Apple picking, hayride, games, mazes, petting zoo & feeding the goats! The place was so big with so much fun stuff to do. A really nice market. Thank you staff!!

We had a great time here! It would have been five stars during Before Times, but to me there were way too many people to appropriately social distance. They did require masks and I was surprised that people were mostly compliant. Sooo many activities--slides, tire climbing tower, (free) carnival games like basketball and push the ball over the hill, giant hamster wheel, "groundhog hill" tunnels for kids, little roadsters to ride, and barnyard animals! Ticketed items were pony rides and hayrides. We also picked apples, and LOVE the dwarf trees--the kids didn't need any help picking their apples! We had tasty pit BBQ for lunch, with chicken tender and hot dog options for the kids. Apple cider funnel cake and kettle corn capped off a fun day! We were not able to visit The Porch or the market/store because the lines were way too long. We will likely be back next year!

Great honesty let farm. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Berries are largest that I've seen anywhere

Went to pick apples in early Oct. Overpriced and the apples weren't good to eat. Total waste of time and money. STAY AWAY.

Really nice place to go in the fall. Love the apple cider donuts. Wish there was just a little more to do but totally worth it!

While taking precautions in light of the Pandemic is appropriate, the staff and manager are acting in a manner that is mean spirited and inappropriate. There is a doctrine that every nursing board in every state follows to the letter: The Nurses's Practice Act, specifically states: "What the reasonably Prudent Nurse would do" The operative word is "Reasonably". By the harassment the that I've experienced on my visits suggests that neither Management nor Staff understand the concept of Reasonably Prudent. Fear and paranoia have swept aside all reason and have thoroughly alienated this customer of 23 years. I'm not sure how many customers have been dealt with this inappropriately. Perhaps if their profits plummet and insight prevails they might start treating their customers in a more fair, understanding snd friendly manner.

I really like this Food Lion on route 40. The prices , although higher than they used to be like…read moreeverything else, are still cheaper than the nearby grocery stores. They usually have enough cashiers so you don't have to wait long. In general the cashiers are quite pleasant, especially my new favorite lady but I don't know her name. She's an older black lady with glasses, average height and weight with a GREAT personality. She's so funny I always leave the store laughing out loud. She's very pleasant indeed, a real sweetheart. In the deli if I ask for a half pound (of anything) I usually end up with a bit more than that , between .53 to .58 , which is annoying because I live alone and don't need extra. I wonder if they've been told to do this-slice a bit more than what was asked for since it happens so often. Also I find it hard to open my plastic bag of cheese or lunch meat from the deli because of how they wrap it. It's always a struggle to open the plastic bags from the deli and I can't figure out why. Depending on who's working you may get waited on immediately with quick slicing, or you may get someone who doesn't mind making you wait. Always check your receipt. I've been overcharged numerous times and tonight was no exception, this time for $6.99. Those overcharges add up. They're very nice and polite and will give you back your money but it would be better if everything rang up correctly in the first place. I really like the store. It's clean, it's laid out in a logical manner, it's fairly small for a grocery store which I think is great, and they usually have in stock everything on my list. There's a few annoying hiccups here and there at Food Lion on rte. 40 but overall it's a great place to shop! I just noticed-Yelp had the Pencader Plaza store listed twice and the route 40 store isn't listed at all.

When I walked in, the place smelled like mildew but I still hoped for the best. I waited a while for the one person behind the counter to finally say something to me. She was working on another order and didn't even acknowledge my presence. I almost turned around and left after a few minutes (I had people waiting for me in the car since I was getting it to go) but I decided to wait. I decided on a bowl. They didn't have a lot of options but it looked like enough (or I had hoped) to make a nice bowl. Upon close inspection, the fish looked gooey, the rice looked undercooked so I got the spring mix, and the other toppings were meh. Everything put on the dish was more like a sprinkle than a spoonful. At the end of the line I had a bowl that was half full and mostly a small amount of green leafy stuff. The dish was absolutely not worth the price. I did eat it. When I finally got into the car and tried the food, I should have stopped when I found the spring mix had pieces way past their prime. I also should have stopped when I found the fish to be goopy and room temp. Long story short, it was a very small portion of less than stellar quality ingredients. I felt like heck about an hour later (not fun on a car trip). It was lunch time and the only food I ate that day. I should have started a fast at that moment.
