Mr Milam helped me get a favorable decision! Yes, my condition is what qualified my approval but I cannot imagine having the same outcome without Mr Milam's firm. Run, don't walk! Milam has the worst, most inattentive, unprofessional and ill-mannered lawyers I have ever worked with. What's worse, is they demanded more money from me after my case closed because of a mistake THEY overlooked. So now, they are deducting a couple of hundred dollars from my social security disability check every month! So they talk a good talk at first, and you sign aboard. Then you never hear from them--Not ok, when you have been without income for a number of years, and wonder about the disposition of your case with great anxiety for months on end. It was left up to me to check up on the case they were in charge of handling at my expense. It was only then that I discovered documents were needed from me, or needed to get and submit. Snarky. Irritable. Nasty. These words accurately describe the horrid disposition excreting from a Milan attorney named Leticia. I had had it with her. She always had a tone that she had much better things to do than to help you at all. I grew to actually hate that woman. Enough was enough. I decided to seek well qualified attorneys, and found another with a great reputation. I called Mr. Milam and informed him that I was firing them. I had every intention of moving my case to another law firm. Mr. Millam asked for another chance after he offered to personally handle my case, and gave me new phone numbers in order to reach him directly. He agreed to regularly keep my up to date with things. Fool me once.... So quite some time passes. I call Mr. Milam who completely seemed to forget his prior agreements he made to keep my business, and even told me to call another number. Out the window that went. I was back to dealing with Eva Braun even. Rudeness just exudes from this woman's pours. After many years, my case was won. But it was a shoe-in anyways, and a more reputable firm could have expedited the outcome. I know this. And at the end of it all, they ask me to write a positive Yelp review. It was injured badly at work after falling from ladder in BK court the judge highly recommended that I have counsel Opposing counsel objected on how long it took and without counsel it was late in the process. I mistakenly called in on Sundays not once it twice but three times each time either Jeff or his wife were there working on a Sunday and we're willing to answer my questions it's very impressive. This man fought for me for 10 years! I was significantly injured in a rear end collision in 2007 which caused me to lose my job and a significant amount of income. I came to find out that I needed not only one, but two life changing spine surgeries at 26 and 27 years old. I was young, and on the outside I didn't look like anything was wrong, but spine imaging, debilitating severe pain, and a significant alteration of daily life activities told a different story. Steer clear of this husband and wife team. They are extremely arrogant, rude, inept, and incompetent! I could of done a better job representing myself. I just called to get Seng's email address so I could FIRE her. The secretary tried to "talk me out of it". Tried to tell me ppl only leave bad reviews on YELP? Baloney! Look at all the Attorney's who have plenty of glowing reviews. I thanked the secretary for the email, she says: "You're welcome...." I said: "Good Bye. (Waiting for her good bye). Me: Hello?" Association leads to assimilation, as her rude self did not even have the courtesy to say Good bye, JUST like seng (the wife attorney) did to me just yesterday! Rude, rude, rude!!! I called the Adjudication Board after about a year from my filing date for a hearing. The woman was flabbergasted. My file had NEVER been looked at? Huh? Excuse me, what??? She promised me she would get my file to a case manager just as SOON as we hung up, which she must of, because shortly thereafter, I rcvd notice of my hearing! FINALLY!!! After almost TWO YEARS!!?? I hate dealing with short, dismissive people who don't give a damn about their clients- ZERO compassion. Unless you like being treated like a 4th grade step child, I would NEVER recommend going to this company. I'm 56, not 9. I certainly was not raised that way. I was raised to be KIND and RESPECTFUL to other's and to treat people the way I would want to be treated. This is a completely corrupt, unethical law firm. They took out a 20% fee from my SS award even though they did NOTHING! They did not even file for me and told me I had to do it myself. No gathering of documents, doctor reports, no hearings or statements prepared. Stay away from them. They work in cahoots with some doctor they were going to send me to. I plan to report them to SS and the State Bar. read more

I was denied by SS one time before finding MILAM law. They helped me through the process and called me whenever there was communication between SS and myself or them. I had to file a hardship in order to get a court date sooner rather than later. I got a fully favorable decision from the judge before I left the room. Unfortunately when I got home reality set in as there was a foreclosure notice on my house. I contacted MILAM law and they were able to get my decision letter expedited. I then took the letter to my local SS office and requested a review of my case. In less than 1 month I had part of my back pay and my monthly allotments started. This all happened with in about 1 year from meeting with them. They did great by preparing me for court and did everything they could to help me get my back pay and monthly allotments started. I still cant believe it. After all my times trying to get disability over the years, I FINALLY got it because of them!! Mr. Miliam I really liked. He was down to earth, very knowledgeable and very likeable, knew what he was doing, and expedited my case! I saw him in December of 18, and was surprised he took my case. Different attorneys turned me down, so I was feeling really deflated. He said I had a very good case, and understood from personal experience my different diagnosis. The staff were always helpful if I called and had questions. Got my denial letter maybe a couple months after I saw him, but they took care of that. And the next letter I got was saying I had a hearing September 11th! He wasnt kidding when he said he'll expedite it. His wife represented me, I really liked her too. She was also a down to earth and likeable person, made me feel comfortable before my hearing. Got the letter in maybe 2-3weeks later (judges say it can take up to 6 months for a decision so results may vary) and it was fully favorable! Everything moved very quickly which is amazing!! I was about to go to court alone and at the last minute retained Mr. Milam and postponed my date for a few months, but it was well worth it. I have several issues and he took the one that affected my work the most and won the case that way. I give them one star because it does not allow you to not give any stars. This Law Office takes advantage of people that need help with the system and charges them a large percentage of their awarded settlement , much larger than many other law offices that do social security disability claims. I wish I would have done much more research before choosing this firm. I was with them for two almost three years, only one time did I receive a phone call from them and it was so one of the lawyers / owners of the firm could give me the wrong address for my court appointment. I had to call and get the correct address from the receptionist. They said we were to have a pre-trial conference which I called multiple times in the two week period to try and schedule and they assured me somebody would call me back to set a time which never happened. When I arrived for my hearing Mrs Milam wanted to hear some background and wanted me to tell her of my condition , and the entire time she text on her phone and shared pictures of her children with the court officer. I made it a point to do this review because I hope many people will do their research before choosing a law firm to help them through what is a very difficult process that can be at a very difficult time in people's lives.
