I hired Gade & Parekh to represent my case at the judicial appeals stage. The lawyer said they wanted to pick a specific judge, which caused it to be pushed out several months. Only when my case was a few weeks away did the lawyer tell me he needed certain records. Those records did not arrive in time for the hearing, so I had to wait additional weeks for the judge's decision, pending review of the records. The decision was unfavorable. It was pretty clear to me the lawyer just winged it. My family, friends, and doctor who are all familiar with my condition told me that if the lawyer put in any effort, I would have won. Elizabeth Gade was my disability attorney. I was disappointed with the quality of her service and was frequently concerned about how my case was being handled. There were so many errors, such as omissions and mix-ups of doctors and 4 medications, typos, incorrect dates, and leaving most preparation of many documents and briefs up to the deadlines. When preparing the brief for my second hearing, Gade overlooked several significant pieces of information and I had to suggest that they be added! All of this left me feeling less confident about the representation I was getting. I did not want to switch attorneys in the middle of my case and kept trying to deal with it. Her office went through so many case managers that I had 4 different case managers over 4 years. Gade also overcharged me on the number of hours for fees until I pointed it out.
