He never returned my call. The receptionist was not friendly so I'm assuming I was spared a bad experience!

I'd done my reviews on the firm and it mostly had a 4.5 rating with a handful of 1 star reviews. I chose to ignore the 1 star reviews and sought representation with the aforementioned form. Fast forward 15 months, I'd called the firm 5 separate times. Spoke to an "Assistant" once and a female attorney whom was absolutely condescending level rude, acted as if I were "Bothering" her by asking questions relevant to my case. The nail in the coffin came within the last 6 months where I'd requested a call back from my actual attorney. The assistants supposedly messaged the attorney to contact me, to which they never did subsequently. The final straw was when I was BOOKED an official phone call on the books with Mr Milam at a specific time and day. That time came and left with zero call back, zero text/email/smoke signal/carrier pigeon message letting me know he would not be able to take the meeting for whatever reason. After going back on Yelp looking specifically at the 1 star reviews only, the interesting thing is, they are virtually the exact same complaints. Zero variations! Their office is a joke. Their inter-office communication is a joke. Run, do not even contemplate utilizing this law office! They absolutely are horrid to deal with!

From start to finish, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and consistently responsive. I had one conversation with Attorney Roopen Parekh regarding a potential appeal on the onset date issue. He clearly explained our options without any pressure. While he could have encouraged us to appeal--resulting in a significant fee for himself and his Firm from SSDI backpay--he simply and honestly presented the facts and allowed us to make our own informed decision. That level of honesty is rare. Having worked with attorneys for many years before retiring, I've seen both ends of the ethical spectrum. Attorney Parekh stands out as a model of integrity and client-centered representation. He is direct, respectful, highly competent, and, in our case, won't receive a cent from our claim--yet still treated us with the utmost care and professionalism. His staff handled every detail of our case with precision and compassion. No matter the question or concern, they were always there to guide us. I cannot recommend Gade & Parekh, LLP highly enough. If you're seeking trustworthy, ethical representation for your SSDI or Social Security matter, look no further. Choosing them was one of the best decisions we've made. Grace and Frank Farnese

Only when my case was a few weeks away did the lawyer tell me he needed certain records. Those records did not arrive in time for the hearing, so I had to wait additional weeks for the judge's decision, pending review of the records. The decision was unfavorable. It was pretty clear to me the lawyer just winged it. My family, friends, and doctor who are all familiar with my condition told me that if the lawyer put in any effort, I would have won. Instead, a lot of wasted time and lost money. I'll never hire this law firm again and suggest to anyone else that they stay away.

As soon as I said I was on methodone the lady on the phone said they couldn't take my case until I'd been clean for 6 months and I said will I've been on it a year, & she replied, "January 2019 isn't a year". Really lady? Just because I'm on methodone doesn't mean I'm an idiot. YOU got the date wrong. I said January 2018. Plus, she was so unwilling to work with me, again, after I said I'd been homeless for a stretch of time, she got all sketchy and I felt like a piece of shit in her eyes. The worst part is I'm probably more educated and have more experience than this woman. Homelessness (which wasn't due to drug use, but to an abusive husband) & opiate addiction (which was a result of my physical disability) are far more common these days & could happen to ANYONE. So you should be careful who you discriminate against because next time you could be looking in a mirror. Unfortunately for DAA, I believe I have a pretty good case. I've had two failed back surgeries and have disc degeneration in both my back & neck as well as osteoarthritis in my shoulders, knees, hips and heels of my feet. I have carpel tunnel too. I was hit by car last year, so a lawyer could make money off of that too. I also suffer from PTSD, OCD, ADD & am Bipolar. Too bad you have a piece of shit answering your phones DAA because you just lost my business.

After finally getting an appointment scheduled, I received a text message saying it needed to be rescheduled because their phones were down. I was then given a new date and told that Nicholas would call me. Unfortunately, that call never happened. I find this extremely unprofessional, especially for a law office. If they are unable or unwilling to take on a case, the least they could do is communicate that rather than leaving someone waiting and essentially ghosting them. People reach out to attorneys because they need help, and the least they deserve is basic communication and professional courtesy. Based on my experience, I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and would not recommend this office.

We met with Moneca Caruso and she told us to come back next Thursday. My husband and I both heard her say next Thursday with no date mentioned. While we were talking with her Nicolas Sheedy called our home phone and said he heard we wanted an attorney and he could probably help us. Having experienced their lack of communication issues, I emailed Moneca Caruso on Sept 25, 2025 at 12:43 to confirm the appointment for 4 pm. I did not hear back from here so I called the office at 1:45. I got their usual machine stating do not leave multiple messaged we will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours. We have to leave 1:15 minutes to get there on time. We arrived for the appointment and Miranda Perez stated our appointment was for October 9th. My husband and I both said, no she told us next Thursday (which is today, Sept 25). Miranda stated we called and emailed you. Yes, the email at 3:23 and two calls to my home phone at 3:12 and 3:14. We had been on the road for 45 minutes at that point. Moneca came out and started yelling at us that we were wrong. The reviews talked about Nicolas Sheedy being arrogant, I will never know but his staff sure is.
