We went with Green Kat Photography as our wedding photographer and also for a combined "love" and…read moreaction shot ski session - and were beyond pleased with the entire experience. First, in regards to the wedding gig, Kat was great at communication from the beginning - which was key since we were planning a destination wedding. She was great over the phone and listened well as we described our wedding plans. Our second day in Whitefish, Kat met with us as we went over the wedding day schedule in greater detail and she made the effort to really understand us - and the wedding party- individuals, which I think is evidenced by her photography. The day of went very smoothly and she was great at having us feel comfortable and natural - and during the actual ceremony and reception she was so unobtrusive - I didn't even notice she was there! All that being said, the final products - the wedding day photographs - are beyond phenomenal. Her use of depth of field, uncanny ability to snap great candids, and talent in showcasing personality within each photograph make her a great professional to work with. Her turnaround time for the photos was also very quick and I loved that she posted a "sneak peak" album of the wedding on Facebook in less than one week after the wedding! Not only did we appreciate it - but all our friends and family did too. In regards to our "love" and action shot ski session, we had a fun afternoon at Big Mountain skiing around and doing some action and couple poses. Again, felt really natural and was a lot of fun. As a doula, Kristen was an amazing support to me and my husband in the prenatal, birthing, and postpartum process. In the prenatal period, she provided a comprehensive overview of things to think about and consider with many helpful resources. She had so many creative ideas to create a memorable and beautiful birthing space, with art and flags containing my birth mantras. I was also experiencing a lot of angst due to a diagnosis late in my pregnancy, for which Kristen provided a lot of needed optimism and positivity, and also helped me think about how to imagine each possible birth scenario with peace. During the actual birth, Kristen was a source of great support with suggestions of switching positions, using the rebozo, keeping me hydrated, repeating words of encouragement, and generally tuning into whatever I needed. In the postpartum period, Kristen was especially helpful when I expressed a bout of intense postpartum blues / anxiety. She came in with a lot of ideas and a listening ear. She also made sure I had sitz bath ready, postpartum tea, and nourishing broth. And, she managed to capture the most meaningful photos of these stages (prenatal, birth, postpartum) that we will forever cherish. I could not recommend her more highly for any and all of these services!!

We were visiting the area for only a week (all the way from NJ) and wanted to arrange care for our dog so we could spend some time exploring and hiking. We first tried to book online, but were unable to complete the reservation. Rather than giving up, we went directly to the location hoping someone could help us. The employee working there was new and understandably wasn't familiar with the booking procedures. We also happened to meet the owner's husband in the parking lot, but he wasn't able to provide the information we needed either. We were eventually given the manager's business card and told to contact her directly. We called the manager twice with no answer and also sent a text message explaining what we needed. We never received a response--not even a quick message acknowledging our inquiry. That was the most frustrating part of the experience. We completely understand that employees can be new and that owners and managers can be busy. What we don't understand is why, after trying to book online, making the effort to visit the business in person, calling twice, and sending a text, nobody could take a moment to respond. For a pet-care business, communication and reliability are extremely important. If a business is unable to accommodate a customer, a simple "Sorry, we're unable to help" would have been perfectly acceptable. Completely ignoring a potential customer after multiple attempts to reach out is not. Since we were only in the area for a week, we couldn't waste more time waiting for a response and had to find another option. Thankfully, we found a wonderful sitter who was responsive, accommodating, and took excellent care of our dog. We can't comment on the actual quality of their pet care because we were never able to get that far. However, based solely on our experience trying to become a customer, the communication and customer service were very unprofessional and left a very poor impression.
