I love this place! The sushi is each time great and the arrangement on the sushi plate manages to surprise me again and again. It's fun and style. The prices are really, really low, but that might be due to the harsh competition in Berlin. Staff is friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed. The decoration is a bit kitsch: big fish tank. I don't like the huge TV screen, but luckily it's not always on. The table decoration often contains fresh flowers and is creative, something I like a lot.

Nope, no way, no how. I have no idea why or how King King is so highly rated, but heed my warning,…read moredear Yelpers and avoid this spot. They get two stars because the outdoor seating is nice (star #1) and our apps were edible (star #2). Once you get past the summer rolls and fried wontons, you're left with a disgusting plate of overpriced sushi that you can't pay for with an "American" credit card. We ordered the King King Crunch and Fire Tuna rolls. Both clocking in at €12 each (about $14-$15) we were expecting greatness. The plate was beautiful when it arrived but as they say, you can't judge a book by its cover. Each roll was buried under a pile of what I can only call guacamole. Weird, right? The fish was not fresh. The rice was way over cooked. And both rolls lacked any flavor. They needed salt, acid, spice... Anything! I have never in my life left sushi behind on a plate and we left over half of each roll at King King. The waitress cleared our half-full plates with no, "Was everything ok?" or "Did you enjoy?" To add insult to injury, when we attempted to pay our €50 bill for sushi that we had about two bites of, we were told they only accepted "German cards," not Visa or Master Card. Huh?! I had to wait at the restaurant while my poor husband walked 40 minutes round trip to the hotel and back to get cash to begrudgingly pay the bill. Ugh.

The udon noodles were sensational and the sashimi was super fresh! We also ordered a roll, I cannot remember the name, but we devoured it before anyone had a chance to take a photo!! The service was also impeccable. Absolutely highly recommend.

One woman placed a to-go order while I was there. The service was very good. Even though my German was poor, the server's English was really good so it worked out well. He was very attentive and helpful with the menu. I ordered the seaweed salad, the Dragon Roll, the Salmon Flake Roll and a Spicy Tuna Roll. The sushi was okay but far from the best I've had. It seemed to not have as much flavor as I thought it would. I really liked the atmosphere with the sumo wrestlers drawn or in photographs on the walls. It definitely made for a consistent and neat theme throughout the restaurant. The chef was pleasant. We spoke briefly at the end. I would visit again to see if this was just an off night.

The dragon roll was flavorful but not outstanding and for the price we've expected a bit more Conclusion: for lunch box it's worth a visit. I'd you crave legit sushi this might not be your spot.
