Went to Taste, the food truck:…read more Tiramisu 100000/5 Omg this was super delicious. It's clearly homemade due to the uneven layers. I have never tasted a tiramisu like this before! If you're sick of all tiramisu tasting the same, you gotta try this. The top cream layer is like an sweet whisked egg white you'd have in cocktand the coffee soaked layer tastes like perfectly balanced bitter coffee liqueur. The two blend so well together. I really was not expecting this to taste so amazing. Cajun seafood polenta 3/5: I liked the variety of seafood in this dish. There was salmon, some white fish, calamari maybe, and shrimp. The only thing is the seafood is definitely not fresh. I could tell when they cooked it as the fishy smell was very strong. The saving grace of this dish are the pickled onions. They provided a fresh contrast to an otherwise very heavy and rich polenta. The polenta itself has a mild chipotle flavor. I was hoping for a more cajun zing. The sauce on top seems to be a spicy mayo and was pretty good. Also this is only good fresh. I tried it again the next day and the polenta got very mushy and the seafood smell amplified.

I hired Chef Chris Tzorin of Taste Collective Food Truck for a community/neighborhood event with…read moreapproximately 70 RSVP'd attendees, and a confirmed total cost of $1,450. Early communication was strong--Chris was excited about the booking, attentive, and responsive. He promptly returned my calls after I texted, and after we confirmed the date and time, he requested a $150 deposit via Venmo, which I paid. As the event date approached, communication broke down. Texts went unanswered. About one week before the event, Chris finally called to say his truck had been in an accident and that the booking was "up in the air." He asked for a few more days to try to make it work and said he would call with an update. He never did. With 70 people expecting food and no reliable confirmation, I could not risk going without a vendor. I texted him to cancel and requested a refund of the $150 deposit. Chris replied the next day asking for more time; I explained that was not possible because I needed to secure a replacement immediately. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up texts and emails requesting the Venmo refund. There has been no response and no refund. I was ultimately able to book another food truck for the event. While the initial interactions were professional, the lack of follow-through after the reported accident, the failure to provide a timely update, and the ongoing refusal to return the deposit left me scrambling one week out and out $150 with no service provided. I've also seen claims that Chris has supposedly "found God" and is in a much better place than he was in the past. It's hard to reconcile that with keeping a customer's deposit and then ignoring repeated requests for a refund. Finding God and refusing to return money you didn't earn don't go together. I cannot recommend Taste Collective / Chef Chris Tzorin for events that require dependable communication and clear financial accountability.

in short: experience = impressive…read more food knowledge = comprehensive attitude= amazing overall quality= impeccable Full story: I cannot even express how happy I am that we chose Chef Warren to cater our daughter's wedding shower! Imagine throwing a full dinner party for almost a hundred people , just a few weeks ahead, in South Orange county, and with a fixed budget. I also really hoped to spend some time mingling, instead of dealing with food...PLUS I wanted the actual meal to be something special (i.e. beautiful) and delicious? Oh, and not Take-out, or a 'drop and run' food delivery leaving me to figure out set up...Right. After calling around to several local restaurants, I got curious about what a "private chef" was all about. Enter Chef Warren. After a short conversation it was clear this gentleman was 1. A true professional 2. kind, accommodating, and down-to-earth 3. could read my mind and put my 'vision' on a menu while still keeping costs in mind. At total ease with everything from food allergies to aesthetics to cuisine styles. All necessary serving equipment we needed was available and he would even check out our event facility to avoid any surprises . Honestly he went the extra mile despite a full schedule, and made sure He and his assistant Chef Adrian had everything well planned and set. I felt like I had discovered a cousin who also happened to be a celebrity chef...and a really nice guy; incredible. Chef Adrian executed the service perfectly, and was entirely professional, gracious and handled the entire night beautifully from arrival and preparation to final cleanup...Our guests raved and loved all of it. Thanks again Chefs, for making our event a fabulous experience.
