I would make an appointment and was always taken care of right away. Last week I made an appointment because my car was having issues. Was told I could not take my car there in person because my company is under quarantine. Called Paul he immediately said he would be glad to pick it up. Gave him a list of things to be done including detailing. Paul delivered my car yesterday, and it looks brand new, and runs like a top. He kept me updated every day as to what he found and what should be taken care of. He will go out of his way to accommodate you. I recommend Paul and his staff highly. It feels great to have a local mechanic you can trust, and will go out of their way to help. Carol F.

They even snuck in an emissions test when I did not need one, nor did I ask for one. I went in for an oil change, and tune up, it ran me $1250. I expected maybe $250, tops. I almost threw up when he told me the cost. Absolutely insane. Not knocking quality of work, I'd assume that's okay although I don't feel a difference in how it drives. I will always believe that all mechanics are absolute crooks and I wouldn't recommend a single one to anybody. I'd recommend getting a new car, change oil regularly and avoid mechanics at all cost. This place was no different. Appalled at my $1250 bill.

In doing so I have dealt with every kind of repair shop / service out there, the good, the bad and the ugly. Jonathan Weis at Jonathan's Automotive Repair is without a doubt and by far the best of the best. Jonathan's concern for the safety of travelers is evident and Oriental North Carolina is most fortunate to have access to this level of service and professionalism in automotive care. My wife and I were visiting Oriental when a mechanical issue developed with my truck. Fortunately for us we were only a block away from Jonathan's. I brought my truck to him and rode along with Jonathan on the drive to diagnose the issue. Jonathan was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem as being the front left wheel bearing / hub assembly. I requested that both the left and right assemblies be replaced to keep them in common service states, Jonathan was able to accommodate that request. In tearing down the front end hub assemblies it was observed that there were issues with the front brakes that should also be addressed. Jonathan provided photos and recommendations as to the proper repairs. I requested that the brake repairs be completed along with pinion seals in the front and rear differentials that had developed leaks. Jonathan was able to complete all requested repairs in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. The communication, workmanship and cost of service were top notch. I live over ten hours from Oriental, however when future repairs are needed for my or my wife's vehicles, if possible, I will certainly come back to enjoy Oriental's unique atmosphere and Jonathan's excellent automotive repair services. Five star, 10 out of 10 and best of the best. Thank you Jonathan! p.s. I am posting this from my wife's account.
