I don't use that language lightly, folks... Thankfully, Screamin' Skull in Lanark advised me superbly. I wanted to get something tattooed round what I had, but my tattooist looked at it and where it was placed (off centre of my arm) and advised a cover up instead. I gave him 3 or 4 photos and a rough sketch of an idea I had to incorporate the old tattoo, and left it in his capable hands. I returned a week later to see the final draft, and was utterly blown away. His design was incredible, and included some negative space work which I'd never thought of to distract from where the covered part was. I paid the equivalent of 2 hours of custom work, but thanks to having to leave the first sitting because of bus times and school closing times, he was fine with me coming back and going slightly over time. I probably got double what I paid, and would happily have paid more (I tried to give him a bit extra, but he declined!) for what I got. The work was simply incredible. Quick, accurate, and extremely artful, it went above and beyond what I expected and hoped for. I've spoken to 2 or 3 friends who have several tattoos and they agree with me that this is excellent work, so it's not just post ink bliss, Honestly, if you're anywhere near the area and thinking of getting something done, I would not hesitate to recommend Screamin' Skull. I hadn't planned on it... but I'll be back for more, I think. I has the bug now!

I've had a 3 piercings done at Jink, the first 2 were fine and lead to me recommending them to…read moreothers. However, after the 3rd I would strongly recommend against getting any sort of piercing there. The piercing in question was a second set of lobe piercings, I was not shown a mirror at any point in the process and so it wasn't until I got home that I realised that they had been pierced much closer to the original first set of holes than I'd asked for, and the positioning was not even close to matching. A few hours later I decided to remove them, only to discover that one of the bars used had been mis-threaded and so was near impossible to remove (I had several people attempt it), during these removal attempts I noticed that it had also not been pierced straight, so whilst from the front it appeared at least half a centimetre or so from the first hole, at the back it was approximately a millimetre away. At this point I panicked that further attempts to manually remove the jewellery would tear the new hole into the existing hole, wire cutters were used to cut the jewellery out. After going back and explaining this, I was offered the piercing again for free, however for the following month, I came in periodically for it to be done, only to be told continually that neither of the two piercers were available. When I eventually did get it re-pierced I was immediately made not to feel welcome and the friendly manner in which I'd previously been treated seemed to have gone. I was expecting the piercing to be done using a needle as all my previous piercings there (including the lobes I was getting re-done) had been done using a needle. However, without informing me a gun was used, as I had my head turned I did not see the gun, and had no idea that one was being used until I felt it go through my ear, No reputable piercer should ever use a gun. There are several reasons that guns should never be used for piercings, and the fact that these were not known by, or had been ignored by a professional shocked me. I don't know what the jewellery was made out of (again something I had no say in), but after months of the piercings not healing I realised that it was the jewellery that was the issue, the hole itself was pretty much healed, but the surrounding skin was badly irritated, with redness and bleeding where the metal had reacted. Changing the jewellery immediately solved this issue and the piercing went on to heal soon after. However, I can no longer wear any non-piercing grade jewellery in either these holes, nor in the existing holes (which have been fine for 10 years with a variety of jewellery). So in short, not only did I have an awful experience, whereby unsafe, unprofessional piercing was carried out, but I have been left with a much heightened sensitivity in both new and well established piercings I feel very let down considering the positive experiences I'd had previously, and I sincerely regret ever recommending them to anyone in the past.

They had no respect for my wishes and didn't want to tattoo my d*ck. It's clear that they care more about making a quick buck than creating quality artwork. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where you can get the respect, the quality service and the d*ck tattoo that you deserve.

AWFUL customer service! Had to remove piercings as soon as done and refused refund!…read more I have had a piercing done here before and it was done wonky. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back to get more ear piercings. Initially I was over charged for the three piercings I was about to get and student discount was not offered to me even though it is available and then the piercings were once again done very off centre and wonky. I only noticed this once I got home and took a picture of my ear to see how they lay on my ear. To make it worse one piercing fell out due to it being pierced badly. I rang pure ink and asked for advice and if I was able to get a refund and they said no due to signing of a consent form before the piercing got done. Nowhere on the consent form does it say refunds are not given. This is such bad customer service and it would be nice if they would sympathise with their customers and do all they can to help them out so that we will subsequently return to their studio. However once you give them their money that is it ..they will pierce you badly and you'll be left to your own devices... I had to take my other piercings out as I could not stand how bad they looked and wasted a lot of money.
