They only do what they want and whatever they think is 'trendy', and disregard whatever you have asked for. I asked for a short layered haircut, just a little shorter than my just past shoulder length hair and I left with a stupid almost bowl cut boy-like bob. I personally feel robbed from having beautiful hair and they've taken my money! But in the long term, they lose because they have lost a client and potentially more because word gets around quickly. My hair will grow back however and in future I will be going to a proper and genuine hairdresser who actually cares about their clients. If you're a risk-taker and want to ruin your hair, then this place would be perfect for you. However, if you actually care about your appearance and your wallet, don't go there.

Mark took time to look at my hair and shape of my face and said the hairstyle I had chosen would suit me very much. I asked him if he would have told me if I had chosen an unsuitable haircut and he said he would! I can honestly say I haven't had a cut this good in years (and Hannah gives a great head massage!). I've booked in to have my colour done in a couple of weeks' time and to have a cut and blow dry in December ready for Christmas and I haven't done that since I moved to Cumbria five years ago. This is an up-scale salon so the prices are higher than that of a normal cut but I thought it was worth the money. I was very happy with the haircut I received there and will definitely be going back. Also noticed a new banner in their window saying they won British Retail Salon of the Year 2008 so that should probably speak for itself!

Elaine is very knowledgable and has been hairdressing for a very long time. She used to have a tiny salon on the Petteril Bank Shop Parade before she had this one and that was when I was a little girl. Grandma always comes out with her hair done beautifully and if Elaine thinks she doesn't need something doing she will say and tell us when to come back. She treats all her customers with heaps of respect and is so friendly with everyone. Nanna really enjoys the cuppa and the chat she gets aswell.
