I made an appointment for an eye brow and tint. they turned around and they asked for payment up front. I then got accused of a no show in Nov which apparently I didn't go to. so upon this appointment the Salon manager tried to charge me £18 pound for the previous app and £19.50 for my appointment I booked for which I refused pay both! I didn't receive any of these appointments! I got humiliated cause I said I couldn't afford both and the salon manager was so rude towards me and in front of my family which were stood out side and heard the whole situation. I approached Salon Elysee for my bridal make up last year as they use the same products that I use at home. I live in Staffordshire and was getting married in Penrith and so it was important to me to find a salon I was going to be happy with. I had a consultation along with my sister (maid of honour) and they did a trial make-up for us both. Kelly, who did my bridal travelled from Carlisle to my hotel in Penrith the morning of the wedding and did my whole wedding party, she was amazing! This is a fantastic little beauty salon located on St Cuthberts Lane just up the side of Topshop. The salon is on the first floor so it isn't very easily accessed if you have mobility problems. I always find the salon to be very clean and tend to go for a block of tanning sessions. The cubicles are also very clean and hygenic which is nice and puts you more at ease. I have also had my eyebrows shaped here but this was a quite some time ago. They were very good and it only cost £4 per eyebrow which at the time was very good. They do a huge range of beauty treatments from acrylic nails to microdermabrasion. They also sell gift vouchers which are great for that person who has everything. read more
