The man who did the inspection effectively scared the buyer away after noticing the tank level was a bit lower than normal. He began to share conjecture about what the issue could be and essentially said the problems were so bad that they could not be solved. Because of this, the buyer backed out without any willingness to get a second opinion or negotiate. We since had two other reputable and longstanding septic companies in Fairfield County come out to look at the system. The issue turned out to be a very small leak near the drainage pipe of the septic system - a minor $1,200 fix. After having to pay $2K for these other companies to evaluate the problem, we then had to take an offer tens of thousands of dollars less than our original - which we were fortunate enough to have on hand. I'm sure this service is fine for an annual tank pump out, but I would beware when it comes to inspections.

But i figured assurance of job well done is worth more than couple hundred dollars. This time things were not so smooth. Technician DESTROYED our back yard. Additionally i was promised some comprehensive report / filter cleaning and whatever else extra charges included. He came about 5:15pm and went to dig up the septic tank. He didn't even come up to let me know that he was here and that he was gonna dig up our septic tank! He did the normal pumping procedures. stirred up the septic tank with the sludge pole and pumped out the waste. But the service should had taken a bit longer. He didn't even open up the secondary tank, I could tell that he didn't even pumped all the sludge! And when you don't get your sludge pumped out, it will soon back up the clog the pipes in the leaching field! He did the sloppiest job that any pumper can do! I was not happy with his service and he should had done better. It was as if he was trying to get out as quickly as he can not caring if the solids were pumped out. or not. So pretty much he left in 20mins!!! As a septic expert, I am glad that I kept an eye of the job performance this guy did and now I am able to prevent others from wasting their money on Kaiser Battistone.
