I decided to try this location again, I had been a member of 24 hour fitness, we dropped it because…read moreevery time we went something was broken. I was happy when I came back, for the most part every thing works. However, I was told when I joined, just over 2 years ago, that there would be updates, with the exception of everything working and wifi, no updates. Then we had the personal training fiasco. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING!!! My daughter was on my contract and was told she could pay out of her pocket for training, then I get a horrendous charge along with my monthly fee. She is told it won't happen again, next month same as the last. "Oh, you didn't sign a cancellation." Next month same as the last. Every time that I called I was passed on and when a manager was to call me I instead get a front desk person that hung up on me. THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU COPIES OF ANYTHING YOU SIGN. With that I have no Idea what she signed and probably never will. Side note, part of this fiasco, my daughter quit going to personal training during the first month of this because her personal trainer quit. His reason was that they were not paying him properly. Wow, wonder where my money went???

I really wish I could leave a good review for this gym. I really enjoy working out and I like most…read moreof everything about this gym. the main problem I have is I basically had to give up working out because I have a kid. Every time I've gone to the gym in the last two years my son has gotten sick and been bed ridden the whole rest of the week. I've had to bring him to the hospital multiple times now for treatment for ear infection and respiratory infections. the only time he ever gets sick is when I finally get the chance to go to the gym. I don't think they do a very good job sanitizing the kids play place at all. I really wish I could find a place to work out but after paying for this membership for years I will no longer be visiting.

The new ownership has taken over, bringing with it an incompetent and hostile management team--a…read moreclear reflection of the owners themselves. In particular, Gary Vanross stands out. He would do well to lay off the special supplements; perhaps then he could better regulate his emotions. He attempted to physically intimidate me by getting in my face. He spends more time sitting around and goofing off than doing his job. Instead of communicating professionally, he resorts to intimidation. Unfortunately, his behavior reinforces harmful stereotypes, such as the "angry Black male" trope, which is both disappointing and damaging. Maintenance is also slow to respond to repair requests, and there have been reports of ringworm, which raises serious hygiene concerns. After I signed the paperwork to cancel my gym membership, the gym continued to make unauthorized charges to my card. This appears to be a pattern, as other former clients have reported similar experiences. It seems to be a method of retaliation--an incredibly predatory move by the ownership. There are plenty of other gyms in the area worth considering.

I've been going for three months now and feel welcomed and it's also good that the instructor is a professional with his karate and his curtesy. Highly recommend.

This is not my first gym but I think it's a gym worth the price…read more I signed up for 1$ initiation, that helped.. Any more fees added to it? (Even the 49$) one time fee doesn't make it not worth it, But overall for the price? The amenities are clean, everything is calm, staff is friendly, and I see a lot of locals from my church! It's a nice experience. I do have a temporary black card upgrade and I get access to the Hydro massage and that was unimpressive. But my review is for the gym as a whole for the 10$ a month I'm paying. It is lacking in some decline machines, or decline benches, we need a squat rack (not on rails), also need some barbells. Need some calf workouts, I'm looking forward to growing here and enjoying my workouts.

Let me start out by saying if you have no plans of ever cancelling or traveling with the…read moremembership, the staff is super nice and the facility is clean. I had no issues with the equipment or staff or any of that. A little over a year ago my wife decided to give Travel Nursing a go. We wanted a membership we could take with us, and Planet Fitness black card membership said you could take it with you. See image below(access to 2500 locations) First off, let me tell you this is only true if you are on vacation for 10 days or less. We were litteraly living in different locations going 5-6 times a week. Well as soon as you hit ten visits you are denied access because it isn't your home gym. So they force you to change your home gym to some random gym in a city you are only going to be in for 3 months. Fast forward to today. We are back and I just want to cancel my membership. Something they advertise as easy(see image below), it is not. I went to the gym where I originally signed up and was told because the home gym was transferred to some random city we were working in they couldn't cancel we'd have to go to that gym to cancel. I asked transfer my membership back and cancel. Was told they were unable to do that, which I knew to be false as I had transferred while we were on the road with the travel nursing so I could work out. I finally asked for the manager's manager and he was able to transfer the membership. However, it takes a minimum of 24hrs for their computers to update with the transfer. I'll have to go back a separate day(20 minute drive each way) to do the cancellation. Additionally, even though I will be canceled before the next bill date, they are telling me that it's too late to stop the billing process at this point. So they are going to bill for another month. I asked how long it would take to get the refund since the membership is going to be cancelled before the effective date for that month. They said I would not be getting a refund. So they will be in effect stealing a months membership. Granted it's only about $28, but if they do that to every member that cancel's a membership, it would be millions of dollars nationally. Another sketchy policy is they force you to bill to a bank account and not a credit card. They do this so they can continue to steal money from your bank account even after you cancel the membership. With a credit card you can protest the charges and get your money back, with the bank account you are just out the money. UPDATE: I was impressed that corporate responded so quickly to my post. I contacted them through the email as requested shortly after they posted their comment. 24 hours later they did respond. However, this was only a stunt to look like they care to anyone reading the reviews. It is their policy to keep money billed after the cancellation of your membership. So just know now when you get a membership, that at somepoint you want to cancel you will be out an additional months membership cost. They also stated that it is policy to only allow 10 visits outside your "home" location so if you travel much it won't work for you. Travel nurses are one profession this would be true for, another is consulting. A lot of IT consultants trave M-Th to a client location, if you do that so you are gone more than 10 days a month you would not be able to use your membership. You can only transfer your membership once in a 3 month period. It is really sad they invest so much into making sure the facilty is clean, the staff is friendly, the equipment is in good condition, but invest nothing into treating customers fairly. They lure people in with false advertising "go to any of 2500+ locations" nothing stated about only 10 times per month. They state easy to cancel your membership, but it has not been easy and they definitely don't advertise they will take one last month dues from you before cancellation. I cannot in good concious recommend getting a membership with Planet Fitness until they either update their polices or advertise them so people are aware of what they are getting into. UPDATE 2: They responded again via email and are looking into it further. I will update again with the resolution.
