Well, for starters, we've had our vehicles in for oil changes here a few times with good experiences before. But this time, we had over $7,000 worth of work done. It was...mediocre workmanship at best and took about three weeks to complete. We were not necessarily in a rush, we simply wanted the root causes to be found and for all the problems to be traced and resolved from the ground up. If that is the kind of work you want to have done, "Mike's" is NOT the shop you should go to. We had to repeatedly go behind them and ask follow-up questions, repeat ourselves, and ask specifics about every single step to make sure they were doing *everything* - otherwise? They absolutely were not doing that on their own. We were told the heat worked in the vehicle when it was returned to us, which was an outright lie, although my husband was able to go behind and fix that himself after the fact. Irritating that we spent $7K to have to come home and do it ourselves in 30 degree weather, but ya know, I suppose that's on par with the workmanship up until this point. The shop guys also backed the vehicle into something at the shop while they had it in their possession and dented the steel bumper. The shop called and let us know (which I suppose we should be grateful for), but upon assessment of the damage, the manager looked at my husband and said, "Well, it's already dented on the other side, so realistically it doesn't make it much worse." WOW. Then, insult to injury, they offered us $200. A new bumper by itself is $500+, not including the clips or paint or installation. They. Are. Unbelievable. We wanted to get the bumper repaired properly, so we got a quote from another repair shop. Since the bumper is steel and the repairs are tricky/not worth it, the second repair shop suggested a full replacement and paint job. We took the quote in and Mike's balked. They refused to compensate us for the cost of the service, offered to do it themselves (shoddy work of course), or the $200 as before. All in all...My suggestion?? AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. They will cost you more than you can predict. read more
