My son's car was towed from his apartment complex. Totally his fault. But it was towed between…read morethe hours of 3am and 8 am on a Saturday morning during homecoming weekend for mtsu. My son was told he could pick the car up on Sunday but there would be an additional charge of $40 to have somebody come to the office. So he waited until Monday. On Monday, he was hit with a bill of $431.71. $200 for the tow, $131.71 for storage, and a $100 filing fee. Mind you, the towing company had the car for no more than 53 hours at very most. So $431.71 seems a little extravagant. That's fine. But I wanted to know what the $100 fee was. Apparently they charge a fee to file a lien against the vehicle with the state of TN which they have to do apparently . But it costs them $1 to do that. I asked when the lien was filed and they said Sunday. So I called the TN motor vehicle services. They lady told me that filing on a Sunday or Saturday wasn't possible because they aren't open. I had her run a check on my son's VIN and no lien was ever filed. So I called my good friends at Gannon's back and they skated around the issue saying their secretary filed it Monday morning. I told him there isn't a record of a lien with the state. Gannon's said they would get back to us after speaking with their manager. I asked if the lien that was supposedly placed on the car was removed and Justin told me it would be on Tuesday morning. I asked why is wasn't removed when the bill was paid in full. His answer, oh my secretary isn't there today....but she was there to file the lien???? Gannon's will respond about the lien saying he has the paperwork in hand. The entirety of the phone calls to their business yesterday only mentioned it was filed. Had they mentioned paperwork i would have gotten a copy, but it was never mentioned until a google review was written. This place is more crooked than lawyers

Speaking to this place on the phone provided no information other than they had my car and it would be $200. Luckily I called back to see if they'd give a discount if I paid in full cash only to find that they ONLY accept cash. I was not informed of this during the initial call. Upon arrival, there was a little girl sitting in the front lobby who I had to ask to get an adult for me to even inquire about my car. Absolutely poor service and I'm astonished the apartment complex uses this company as their primary service.
