Finally found my to go dentist. I've been going to…read moredifferent dentists over the years for my 4 month cleanings, checkups and dental needs. Reason I went to different dentists over the years is that I really never felt comfortable with any of them plus it felt like assembly line dentistry with every dental chair occupied and the dentists hopping from patient to patient, not to mention the sticker shock when given an estimate. Called Picayune Dental Clinic for an appointment and was able to get in within 2 days to see Dr. Hale. (Gave my dental insurance information etc. over the phone) Dr. Hale is very professional and super nice. After the x-ray diagnostics I had one small cavity that needed to be addressed. Instead of having to make a follow up appointment Dr. Hale filled it on my 1st appointment (today). Like most I'm not very comfortable with dental anesthesia but to my surprise it was absolutely painless. Prices are very reasonable compared to other local dental clinics ( I was pleasantly surprised with my out of pocket cost). As a new patient my appointment was made quickly without the week or longer wait to be seen. Office is very clean. Staff is super friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Painless! I highly recommend Picayune Dental Clinic if you're looking for great dental care and absolute reasonable prices.

Called each time, and was told they were in error, but up to 4 times I had to call. Then, I booked a crown on one tooth, and when I got there, they set up for a different tooth. Then when they got the correct tooth figured out, the temporary broke within a week, they said my dentist had Covid, and didn't know when she was back. I asked for one of their other dentists to help, and they said there weren't any other dentists there, which I found out later wasn't true. Then when dentist returned, their office was closed down because they didn't meet sanitation/sterilization standards. So by the time I was able to get my actual crown, all my teeth on top row had moved, crown now didn't fit, and then my dentist was no longer there, so I was left with going to another dental clinic and Picayune Dental made me pay to see one of their other dentists, which previously they said there weren't any. Horrible experience.

I'm an RN so I know how things should be, and this office is no exception to being among the best in health care. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable. They treated me like I was their best friend. I felt very safe. The office was very clean. Here are some of the things that stood out to me: They handled money arrangements before I was sedated. It was quick and easy. They asked me my allergies many times. Got my IV started on the first stick. Draped me with a furry, soft blanket in the chair. No thin white, scratchy hospital blanket for them! Dr. Akin knows is stuff. He discusses with you your needs, and you are part of the decision making. He even called to check on me. You are given gas as well as IV sedation so you absolutely do not feel a thing, and don't remember any of the procedure. Believe it or not, having my tooth extracted/bone graft performed was a pleasurable experience thanks to this outstanding crew!! Angel S Bay St Louis
