It is very sad that the receptionist in the spa can barely understand nor speak English. I was fortunate to speak a little bit of Spanish. I was there at least twice during my stay. The 2nd day I was there, a customer came by and was inquiring about spa massage services, the male receptionist cannot express himself in English, so I came in to the rescue interpreting to him what the man was saying and inversely translating to English what the receptionist was was saying. The man ended up booking a services thru my interpretation service.
Anyway, that was less of my issue with the spa. I came in for massage the first day. The locker room was not private and it was for everybody, meaning there was no male or female lockers, customers are cramped in that small space. The bathroom and shower rooms have no locks, anybody could come in "accidentally" without notice, no privacy. I used the jacuzzis, cold and hot, again they are very small, the cold jacuzzi can only fit 2 person at a time while the hot jacuzzi can fir at least 4, and they are in the same room. The motors of the jacuzzis are very noise and cranking up while you're sitting and trying to relax in the jacuzzi (well, cannot relax because of the noise). The next day, I did a facial, it was good but the only thing I hated is that the aesthetician was not telling me what she was doing. I have been to other facial clinics and spa, both land and in cruise, I was always told what is the next procedure and what is going to be applied to my face. All the spa staff are friendly, and courteous, and trying to be kind, which I applaud but please the spa needs updating, it's very dated, cramped and needs a lot of privacy. read more
