Arrived late. Not dressed for professionalism. MOVED VERY SLOWLY!!! Not my first time using professional movers, these guys are by far the slowest of them all. They insisted on moving one box at a time, EVEN THOUGH A DOLLY WAS OFFERED, which would have drastically increased the speed and efficiency of the moving process. It was never used! Everything was there to decrease time and increase efficiency. As a result of this slow process, our rate was raised from the initial estimate. I dare say this was all on purpose to get a higher amount of money from us. read more

Hi James Every piece of furniture I own was damaged in one way or another. I can't dust without getting very angry and emotional when cleaning. Hardware is missing on most of the items that were taken apart to pack and so they are not able to be used or are very unstable. My triple dresser mirror's whole right side has been left unattached I'm assuming because of lost hardware??? It was pushed up against the wall and hidden from my view until I started to put things away. My heirlooms and teakwood entertainment center had damage in many places. I couldn't have expressed more to please be very careful with my items as they were irreplaceable and valuable. The only reason I have not sued you is because of the care and death of a family member. If you really wanted to do the right thing you would refund me at least 1/2 to 3/4 of my total cost of the move. I am looking into the statute of limitations on being able to go to small claims court. I do appreciate you finally responding to my review. I hired James to help me unload a truck into my new place, which had lots of stairs. He showed up on time, with his helper Donny i believe. They brought all the necessary equipment to do the job. They were polite and worked diligently, and carefully. It was slightly difficult to find movers willing to work on sunday, but James and Donny were up for it. They took good care of my belongings and didn't damage anything. They even helped me unwrap my furniture which they didnt wrap themselves. They arranged everything the way i wanted it, and left me happy at the end of the move. Probably the best money I have ever spent! Despite contacting Mighty Mountain Movers with short notice, two guys that looked like college football players showed up, including James, who is the owner. These guys were grabbing filing cabinets and couches and walking them upstairs; it was really impressive. Not only were they thorough and conscientious, but extremely friendly, and articulate... not your typical movers. The price was the lowest we were quoted around. When James and Javier showed up they were very kind and pleasant to work with. My family & I struggled to find help on a Sunday. I sent multiple inquiries via Yelp & James responded immediately. Out of 6 responses James was by far the most reasonable AND THE ONLY business willing to help on Sunday!!!! Excellent customer service with respect to providing quick response & quotes. We appreciated the fact James took the time to ask detailed questions regarding our move & actually held a conversation with us instead saying 'fill out the form...it depends...' He also reached out & texted to communicate when he was on his way, which we valued because we were running behind. James & his team were respectful of our home & my disabled brother in law. Everything was packed to exact precision and with great care. We didn't have bungees cords or straps & James graciously offered his for only a few dollars. Please note, this is a local business & you pay for quality. If you want your stuff thrown in the back of your uhaul in an hour with no regard then pick up people from Home Depot! If you want your household items loaded with care & respect then support local business owners who have integrity. Is disrespectful to your belongings as well as you... He'll damage & break multiple priceless family heirlooms and other property (which will require EXTENSIVE and costly repairs) and when asked about his insurance so you can file a claim?.... Responds by saying it's not HIS problem and take it up with the place he rented the trailer from (which is in NO WAY liable for the damages HE and NOT the trailer caused) So when you try contacting him again to request at the very least a refund?!or partial reimbursement for amount he charged you? ... Well this guy will be rude, immature, and aggressive! He is extremely untrustworthy because and instead of working with his clients or even showing an ounce of regret-guilt-accountability-etc he prefers to run away from the consequences of his actions by ghosting his clients like a child! *************************************************************MY RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT ON MY ORDINAL REVIEW: ************************************************************* If you're insured and adhere to all requirements then why have you ignored all requests to file a claim and reimburse for the broken & damaged items?! James and his people went above and beyond in our move! We had some very old pieces that could not get broken. They took so much care in wrapping and packing them. These guys worked so hard for us and even did some extra work that hadn't been talked about in the beginning. They are a bunch of great guys. They earned every penny. My wife and I were experiencing delays in finalizing our rental home lease agreement and my flight home was delayed - through all this, James was very accommodating in keeping the move date flexible. He stayed in touch via email, text, and phone; at the last minute after a flight home delay, he rescheduled our move from Sat to Sun - the only local mover we found that would do that. His crew was very knowledgeable, courteous, and handled moving our household belongings very carefully. It was a long day, they worked over 12 hours to complete our move from storage to the rental house exercising the same care even as the day become night. Don't let the bad review from Elizabeth W discourage you, these guys ARE professionals and will do a great job for you. We have moved with some of the biggest names in the business, James and his crew could teach them a lot about providing quality service in this industry.
