If I wanted someone to worry with me I'd look at me mom and if I needed to forget my worry I looked at Karen. Her face was always peaceful and expected nothing from me. No look of question on her face, just acceptance of the situation and how I was dealing with it. She was very respectful of my religious beliefs and even provided materials related to my faith. One of the quotes she provided actually stuck with me through labor and I'll never forget it. "When my strength runs out, His is only beginning". I would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone who is mostly looking for a grounding and calm presence for their birth experience. Side note: my labor was on the longer side and Karen never complained nor did she look inconvenienced. She was very serving. I've attended her pre-natal yoga class twice a week for 7 months of my pregnancy, and only missed 3 classes. She is an amazing yoga instructor for pregnant women. I also had two individual sessions with her close to my due date which made big differences in my body. The morning after our session, my belly dropped significantly, which was the goal. As far as labor, she was up with us for almost 50 hours, helping us to keep positive through the contractions, trekking the halls of the hospital with me, and sacrificing her own sleep for even a few minutes of mine and my husband's. This, along with her bi-weekly prenatal yoga class throughout my pregnancy, has made a world of difference in my connection to our birthing journey. I have had the pleasure of working with her…read morethroughout my pregnancy in her prenatal classes which are a wonderful balance of physical flow designed to nourish the pregnant woman's body, and educate/empower mothers-to-be mentally and spiritually as they prepare their bodies for birth and motherhood. Adriana has a wealth of information on a wide range of areas concerning prenatal, postpartum, fertility, etc. I had a terrible pain in my SI joint and thought "this is just a side effect of pregnancy" but after seeing Adriana just a couple of times for osteopathic therapy, my SI joint is comfortable again and I am walking 2 to 3 miles daily, as well as practicing yoga and functioning in daily life at full term. She was also able to ward off carpal tunnel which was starting to develop in my wrists by targeting the area immediately, I am amazed at what she is able to do! Never did I think at 39 weeks pregnant I would answer "I feel great!" and truly mean it, when someone asks. Adriana is incredible in so many areas and I could not recommend her enough.

There is a no phone policy in the yoga room, so it's the perfect hour to disconnect and recharge and get in a good yoga session. There are assigned spots when you book, but if it's not a full class, they can often be flexible and move your spot around to be near a friend. I love it here!

What can I say! I love Project 7 Yoga!…read more I have been coming to this studio on and off for years (starting back in 2018-ish). During the earlier stages of my time coming here, I'd usually only go to their Yin / Deep Stretch classes because I had a pretty solid work-out regime outside of yoga. So, the deep stretching was a great balance to my primarily cardio-based routine. It was not until last year, that I fully committed to a membership and it's been the best decision I have ever made. Though I am not a complete novice to the practice of yoga (as I have been doing it on and off with no real consistency since middle school when it was recommended as physical therapy to me by my doctor), I am a novice to being consistent with my practice of yoga. Signing up for a membership, has been the game changer. The instructors are amazing. Patient yet encouraging. They take the time to learn your face (and name) which just makes attending the studio feel that just more like a supportive friend group. Though, they offer primarily heat based classes, do not FEAR it. The heat is bearable. It's almost as if with each passing move you are sweating out the negative energy of the day, toxins, and any bad vibes you may have had following you that day. You leave feeling refreshed, inspired and deeply proud of yourself for showing up for YOU. Needless to say, I am a total fan of this studio. The space is clean and there is ample parking. They offer great membership packages as well as reasonable drop-in class prices. They also host various restorative events like crystal bowl meditations. And if yoga is your calling, fret not, because you can also go through instructor training under their tutelage.
