We knew we were going to be in the Clinton area for three or four days so we made a few phone calls and reached eastern Iowa tire. They told us if we could swing by early afternoon they would make room for us and get us taken care of. It took them approximately an hour to get everything done, we ran errands and returned at the time they said it would be done and everything was ready! They don't have Saturday service hours so I tried to make an appointment to drop it off during the week. I couldn't get it in for two weeks so I went to another tire dealer and bought the same tires cheaper the very next day. Unfortunately today I picked up a nail in one of the tires. They advertise emergency tire service. So I went in to see about getting a simple tire repair done. I was told I couldn't get it in today. I couldn't get it in because they were backed up with oil changes. I thought that they were supposed to be a tire shop. I didn't see a Jiffy Lube sign out front. I got the tire fixed in 30 minutes at Walmart.

Called to get a quote on a simple install of a muffler I had purchased. Was told they don't install…read morewhat they don't sell. So they cant upcharge a junk muffler 800% they wont sell it. I have been here twice before within the last couple of years and both times had zero issue having parts I had bought myself installed. Really going downhill Midas.... Muffler is aftermarket and is the exact muffler that's on there now...and you would have to fab a pipe over the axle... pretty easy money down the drain.

Beware of using Mike's Transmission in Fulton. Took my wife's car there to have some diagnostics…read moredone on it cuz there was light on in the dash. Well, he said it could possibly be the battery so I told him to change it out. He had one of his guys change the battery, which his guy says took him 20 minutes, and he said it was "running like a dream" other than a whining noise from the front end. Well, his guy took it upon himself to put it up on the rack and do quite a bit of extra work, of which none was authorized. Only, after all of the extra work, was it put on a diagnostic machine for evaluation. I was then informed that they weren't exactly sure what was wrong but there was nothing they could do to fix it. So, for the low low price of almost $800, I am in the exact same boat as when I took it to him in the first place. I told him it was BS that he was charging me for basically nothing, so he reluctantly dropped the price down to $340. That's nearly $500 in extra charges for unauthorized "repairs" just to pad the bill. I'll never go back and recommend using caution if getting work done by him. I've seen news shows about this kind of stuff and it's bad. When I asked him for a detailed bill of all charges, he gives me a bill that says "General repairs and diagnostics". All I can say is I got scammed.
