Sad day. Have used Clinton Alignment for years for brakes, mufflers and tires. Was scheduled for 4 new tires today and was told I could drop off car at 9:00 am and it would take about an hour. I could wait or they had a shuttle service that could take me home and pick me up. I decided I would wait there. When I got there they said it would take 3 hours and they would shuttle me home. I asked if they would call me when it was done and they said yes. 4 hours later my wife drove me over as I was unable to reach them by phone. The car had not been moved. Nothing done. The service adviser, Jason, then started making excuses. They were short a couple techs, so busy, .... The shuttle driver had earlier told me they were short one tech who was on his honeymoon. Not exactly an unscheduled absence. Jason then said they would get the tires on and I specifically asked if he would call me when it was done. He said yes. 4:30 rolls around and I have not heard anything so I call them. The car is done and Jason said he sent a data message but it might have not gone through. When I paid, Phil said "thanks for your patience". No, "sorry we really messed up today" or "I'm taking $50 off your bill today for the hassle". As I started with, sad day. Due to COVID, I gave CAB&M my car in late summer with multiple problems including a parasitic electrical drain & a brake issue which was displaying on the car console. After having the car for excess of 3 months, when I called to get my car back before the winter snows, I found out that they decided to "jerry rig" the electrical system by installing a battery disconnect which would have to be opened every time the car was turned off and closed any time the car was to be used, rather than discovering the cause of specific cause of the drain?! Also, when called to get my car back, they hadn't even looked at the repair ticket to realize they had other things to fix, which I found out that the front disk rotors were in need of replacement which I will now have to take the car to someone else to repair that as well as they didn't even look at the ticket and released it without looking at the brakes which, as I found out, was a severe safety issue! I would not recommend this business to anyone looking to get anything but the most basic of maintenance or repairs done as the tech seemed unseasoned; however, they are capable of basic repair & maintenance if that's what needs be done? This isn't the first time I've had issues with CAB&M, they had a previous car which they "wall jobbed" (nothing done but I was charged for a repair anyway) me on, but thought they'd gotten new management which doesn't seem to be the case as the same issues are recurring??? Got a coupon in the mail. Called ahead of time to check how much an alignment would cost, before and after coupon. When I brought my vehicle in they told me they'd call if there were any issues, they didn't. When they called to let me know my car was ready the price was 50$ over what was quoted. I paid almost double after coupon what muncks charges for the same 4 wheel alignment. Won't be going back.. Update They only tried to contact me after receiving this negative review. In one of the voicemails the gentleman admitted that he agreed with me. I chose not to waste my time contacting them back. I feel like they tried to take advantage of a young woman with a checkbook. The $50 isn't a big deal, it's the fact that I did my due diligence to get the price of a standard alignment after tax and discount before bringing my vehicle in and they blantently changed the pricing after the job was done. read more
