They have/had the parts I needed to repair my firearms. The blowup schematic for the particular firearm is VERY helpful in selecting the correct parts. Service is prompt and professional and prices are lower than other suppliers I have consulted. I highly recommend Midwest Gun Works. read more

I ordered a "Picatinny Rail Kit" to attach a scope to my Benelli shotgun. It was expensive ($70), but I was having trouble finding one that would fit, so I ordered this one. The rail arrived promptly, but had no screws. I relooked at the ad and see it does state that screws were not included. I guess that is on me, but selling as a "kit" was misleading. I called about screws, hoping they would just drop four in an envelope at no charge. Nope. They charged me $7.73 per screw, plus $8.49 shopping, plus tax That's $42 bucks for four tiny little screws. Since I already had their rail, I needed the screws, but $112 for a picatinny rail is ridiculous. The part and screws work great, but I feel like I got hoodwinked.... read more

$6 for a screw and $9 on up to ship it. Up to $62 if you wanted to spend that. Could be put in a 90 cent envelope. NO SALE...and there NEVER will be a sale from me. What a rip off. Got one at the hardware for 41 cents. Out the door....creeps. read more

Idk how to rate Midwest Gun Works. They remind me of an Alfred Hitchcock movie, where people say that if you go inside this shop, there are gunsmiths that can help you, yet once inside you see nothing but an empty room. However, you do hear people working behind the walls but how to get to them is a mystery. read more

Midwest most always has what I need for my customers projects when I can't wait on vendors to get something to me at wholesale prices. Yes, I'm paying retail but when a job is critical, Midwest gets it to me quickly. My only qualm with Midwest is their UPS ground shipping prices. They simply are much too high and it's obvious they treat shipping as a profit center. It makes ordering a few items a difficult decision due to the shipping costs. I can't always batch order to spread the shipping costs so I don't use them unless I really need to. Having said all that, the Service and Selection are great. The Value is average being weighted down, again, by very high shipping prices. Btw, I used to work with FedEx/UPS and have a very good idea of what their shipping costs are for smaller or average weighted packages. Larger packages with low weight are something completely different however. 5 Star being weighted down to 3 Star due to shipping prices. read more

I shop here often and the staff is great. Large inventory but with a small showroom. Decent prices and I always do in store p/u so I don't know about shipping. It's the first website I check when I'm looking for something. read more

When you email them a question they respond very quickly and will converse with you even when it doesn't involve a transaction.

I wanted a .40 slide, recoil spring assembly, and barrel for my HK P30 so I could make it a 9mm/.40 S&W convertible. They had all the parts in stock (which nobody else on the planet did) and they got them to me quick. I put it all together and went to the range. read more

Excellent Service! One of only 2 places, the other being Kriss Website, that had the Kriss Vector part I was looking for. The part itself and shipping were cheaper at MGW. The shipping was crazy fast. I received my order in 5 days, which could be atypical, depending on the item you order. Overall, I had an excellent experience. I would buy from them again. read more

Midwest Gun Works - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Pevely, Missouri

Terrible company to deal with! Placed an order on Dec. 11 shipped on the 13th priority mail and as of the 28th still not delivered their excuse is USPS which I have received other packages much quicker. They might issue a refund after 15 business days or 3 weeks because of there shipping. Yes I did order priority shipping and have not had any problem with any orders I have shipped or received. I would avoid this company. Profit shipping is there business. read more

They are the worse place to ever do business with. Their employees have not only given me false information. They have robbed me of my money and my item. They've tooken 1000$ form in a week, waiting for my return! They have trained their employees to lie about protocol and items they've shipped! They are the worse company .Ally was super nasty on the phone. She didn't take any responsibility that her employee gave me a run around. Charge my card twice and gave me false information! They are the worse company!!! Do not buy from them. i will be reporting then any and every where I can! read more

Placed an online order, both shipping and billing address is the same. Was contacted 4 days later to confirm address.... in my 25 years of ordering stuff online I have never had this ridiculous business experience. After telling them the same address for the third time they said my order will ship out. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and in response they said they do it to ensure the information is not outdated. In Four Days! Is that possible to get a new house and move out in 4 days? read more

Website stated stock would fit, does not, still in original packaging and they will not return it. I don't want a refund I want the stock that fits as website described. Renewing this shotgun for an elderly man, and I now have to purchase a set of stocks from a different source at my cost due to the negligence of this company. Absolutely ridiculous! read more

Fantastic company! Very fast shipping. great prices, friendly customer service. Thank you very much!

Earlier today ordered 5 items for my HK SP5K PDW. Received an email a couple hours later from a customer service person (Ally) that wanted me to send them a copy of my ID over the internet for "additional verification" because of the dollar amount (less than $1,000.00). I called them and explained to "Ally" that I wasn't comfortable sending a copy of my ID over the internet and was told that they would cancel the order then. I have never in my 74 years been required to send copies of my ID in order to make a purchase with any company, regardless of the amount. I guess I will have to find another parts source, because they certainly do not want my business. read more

I ordered a hard to find gun from MGW at a reasonable price. They shipped it to the local gun store of my choice and I picked it up with no problem. I would buy from them again. read more

Ordered 2 barrel band screws for my model 94 and never recieved them. Contacted customer service who informed me that USPS tracking indicated they were delivered. Contacted customer service a second time and asked for a resolution and have not heard from them since. Very poor customer service. I do not recommend purchasing from this seller. All this over an $8 screw. I would rate them 0 stars if I could. read more

WHAT THE HECK!!! I paid for a item..I paid to have it 2 day shipping..and here it is 5 days later...still no part nor confirmation it is at the shipper. I call your office and I have to listen to Elvis for 20 minutes and get hung up on. You people suck! read more

Zero response to emails about an online order. After multiple calls, each time waiting over 5-20 minutes on hold, I was able to get through to a representative named Ally. She cursed under her breath after I had made attempts to find out why my online order was cancelled and how I could work with them to make sure it wouldn't occur again. Don't expect a call back or response. read more

Phenomenal inventory coupled with professional, friendly, knowledgeable customer service staff. They treat you the same if you buy one less expensive item or a boatload of parts. I'd definitely recommend MGW. read more

Fast delivery on a not so easy part to find. Most other companies were out of stock. It is the right part and fit perfectly. Best part is it was made in the USA and a reasonable price. Remington 742 BDL front swivel. Thank you read more

They do not stand behind the products that they sell. Despite their website description stating that the part I ordered will fit my gun, it in fact did not. If you are going to claim that a part will fit my gun, but it does not, explain to me why I should have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee? If you can not/will not "guarantee fitment of any firearm part" then you shouldn't sell that part. That's called taking responsibility. I shouldn't have to scoure the internet and then cross my fingers in hopes that the part I ordered from you is going to fit. MGW takes not responsibility/accountability for the items that they sell. read more

I was looking for a part for my rifle that I needed before my hunting trip, which was coming up. Found it on their site, great. I added it to my cart and selected the fastest shipping method possible, which cost about the same as the part. This was on a Saturday and the site showed that my shipping method would have a home delivery of Tuesday. I thought that would be perfect because I was leaving that Wednesday. I thought nothing of it until Tuesday morning when I received a notification that my part was shipping. I contacted customer service and they said "we don't work on weekends". Great, so your site is a complete lie of when something will ship. Which I made sure to point out. No where on the site does it say "we don't work weekends, so don't expect your item to be delivered when it says it will." No response...also interesting ITS TUESDAY and you finally picked and packed!!! Monday is not a weekend and you couldn't even ship a rush order I paid for on Monday ( not that it would've made it on time, but still, have a little pride). Worst customer service from this type of company. They said, "it's already packed, even though it hasn't left the building, we can't cancel the order". Thank you for wasting my money, my time and offering about the worst service ever. There were many things you could have done to make it right. I will never shop on your site again. Basically it's a sham. I see others on here have experienced the same crappy customer service. read more

CHOOSE ANOTHER VENDOR Ordered a part over night. Paid an extra $60 to assure the part would arrive as I was heading out of town for three weeks and needed it. It did not arrive as expected. I left without it. Despite the fact that I was told that the part would be there, I was told that it was a UPS problem and that they would only credit me the difference between next day air and 2 day air. They chose the method of shipment and would not stand behind the delay. Their solution is needless to say unsatisfactory. Unfortunately I am in need of the part and not able to get it until I get home. Next time I will use a different vendor read more

Thier website indicated the incorrect part for my shotgun. I contacted them immediately after it arrived and made arrangements to return. They refunded the amount of the part and tax and a few emails, finally refunded the $7.99 they charged for shipping but not my return postage. Cost me a little over $5.00 for their mistake. Won't buy from them again. read more

I made an order online and they requested a copy of my drivers license be sent to them over an email to verify my identity.....not something any sane person would do. Since the amount was over $1k, they require an I.D . I would not recommend doing that, who knows what they will do with your information or who they might send it to. read more

ordered a mossberg slide action tube that was labeled in stock after scouring the internet finding them out of stock everywhere. I placed the order sunday evening and paid extra for fast delivery. I get an email 2 days later saying that they made an error and the item is out of stock. So now I'm sitting around with $300 worth of parts unable to assemble them. No courtesy offer from their company to make things right, just a 2-3 day processing refund. After reading more of their reviews, it has become apparent that a many people are experiencing bad customer service as well. read more

After reading the reviews I was skeptical but decided to give mgw a chance. I'm very happy I did. I ordered a pin for a mossberg bolt which I had broken during disassembly. They were the only ones who had it in stock for a reasonable price. I ordered two day shipping, the order was processed on Monday and it was shipped Tuesday and arrived to me on Wednesday. Couldn't be happier. read more

Contacted them regarding a new shotgun they had in stock that I was interested in buying, ask if they could provide a photo and the response was a short curt NO. Ask about the 3 day review period that most gun sales companies provide, again no they don't offer that. Told them I would look else ware and purchased the gun one hour later from another vendor who took the time to review the gun and answered my questions. MGW definitely needs some CS training for their frontline reps. read more

They do not ship super fast but not slow. Customer service won't response quickly. But overall a decent shop to deal with. The price is good! No problem to buy again. read more

I recently posted a negative review about MGW, I have since changed my mind. After disussion with Rich Mcgehee, the owner, we came to agreement where things went wrong. I stated that the part wasn't a factory original when it was, it was just different from what I needed. They key here is the fact the Rich went out of his way to correct what was basically a misunderstaning. That, in and above itself, is worth the high rating. Today, businesses (especially online ones) tend lose the personal touch of an in store experience. The fact that Rich cares enough to follow-up personnaly speaks volumns about his desire to make things right and to run a great business! I'll be back! Jeff read more

Great service, super fast and I love supporting veteran owned businesses thank you

Just placed an order for some barrels (non-FFL items) and this BS business said they would not ship without me sending a copy of my ID. I have been a customer for over 3 years, based on my visible online purchases from their site, but I think I have been a customer for much longer. However, requiring my ID to be on file pushes me over the edge. I am done with this crap when I really believe they screwed up on pricing and this might have been the easiest way to get out of the deal. Good luck if your order seems to be a good deal because chances are that you won't get it!! read more
