Very nice staff, dr Benjamin is very kind and is understanding and listens to you as a patient

Who wants a root canal?!?! I received an earlier appointment on short notice due to a change in their schedule. Dr Benjamin examined the tooth and did appropriate tests to determine if a root canal was needed. Once anesthetized, he started and completed the treatment efficiently with the use of a microscope. He took an intraoral photo to show me the crack in my tooth. He answered my questions and provided thorough written post operative instructions. It was painless. You also had the option to be able to watch a tv show of your choice during treatment if you wanted. His staff were nice and gave me tour of the office. read more

Horrible customer service, and entirely unprofessional. I expressed disappointment that the largest Dental Insurance provider in Peoria (Delta Dental) was not covered and that payment would be required upfront. Before I knew it, I was accused of being too rude to have any services provided to me. What I experienced is the definition of horrendous customer service (I had another procedure done here a few years back, so I am a customer). I'm happy that this exchange did occur because I choose not to do business with people like this. For a doctor to pick and choose patients rather than consider patients based on necessity, goes to show that this clinic is in it more for the money than the practice of medicine. No patient should choose doctors that prioritize money over care. read more

Talented group. Great experience , which says a lot considering roof canals are not fun. They took care of me when I said I was anxious about the procedure. Offered me headphones and tv as a good distraction. Kind staff and truth-worthy. They sent me a check in the mail when my insurance covered more than expected after self pay. read more

Let me begin by saying, I normally do not participate in this type of forum, but in the case I must. On July 30, 2021, I had a root canal performed at this location, Midwest Endodontic Specialist, LTD, by Fabian G. Hosein, DDS. MS. At that time, I was instructed to go to my dentist to get the permanent filling, which was completed on September 20, 2021, at the office of Dr. Bella Joshi, Peoria Family Dental. She has been my dentist for several years with no issues, very professional and caring. On January 26, 2022, I went back to Midwest in order to discuss the discomfort that I was experiencing with the tooth they worked on. Upon arrival I was told by Nikki or Mikki in a very condescending manner that I was on the no see patient list because I supposedly cursed when she called me on September 20, 2021, I supposedly used the word bullshit. I am not denying that I may have used that word, but I don't not recall the conversation at all. None the less, it is not a word that signifies a verbal attack on her personally. Furthermore, she stated that that it was probably my fault that I was experiencing discomfort because it took me so long to get the permanent filling. I didn't realize that she was a professional able to diagnose the problem. she should let the professionals diagnose the problem and she should worry about answering the phones. She then stated I'm not putting up with this and proceeded to call Law Enforcement with no real cause of action. In my sixty-six years, I never had Law Enforcement called on my behalf. I waited in my car for ten minutes for the police to arrive and then left the premises. I was however, contact by phone by a Peoria Police Officer who very politely asked me not to go back to the premises without an appointment. I did not authorize the release of my telephone number which is a violation of the Hipaa Laws compliance. I understand that the talent pool in Peoria in non-existent and she has to work in that small space for the rest of her life, but she shouldn't take it out on Law abiding citizens and an ex-patient. There was absolutely no reason for her to call and waste the time of a busy officer. She should be terminated immediately. We are currently looking to file a lawsuit against the principal owner. I just want the money back that my insurance company and I paid for the rendered service so I can have it done elsewhere to relieve the discomfort. Nothing more nothing less. read more

Not that you would ever want to get a root canal; but, if you had to, then this would be the place to go to in Peoria. The lobby area is clean and has free wifi. Complimentary soda, water, and coffee. Barely any wait time. The dental assistants were professional, very accommodating, and made the procedure as comfortable as possible. Dr. Stephen Benjamin is very knowledgeable and transparent about options and recommendations. He was fast and thorough with the root canal. It didn't hurt and there's a television on the ceiling (cable or Netflix) for you to watch during the appointment. The receptionists were very kind and upfront about out-of-pocket fees. If you have Delta Dental (depending on your employer) or work for the State of IL, expect to pay everything up-front though. They send the paperwork to your dental insurance company. If I had to have another root canal, I would definitely return here for treatment. read more

I've been going to Dr. Fabian for years, and he is wonderful. Compassionate, efficient. I've needed about six root canals and he's worked with me to make each one come off without a hitch. He's really willing to be helpful regarding your particular payment situation, and he really knows what he's talking about. I've had other dentists take a look at my x-rays and compliment the root canals he's done, as I'll sometimes have long and winding roots that are tricky to work with. This office treats you really well, they've always been able to get me in on my schedule, and I've never been kept waiting. Root canals are inherently unpleasant, but this is a fantastic place to have it done--I still drive back here for oral surgeries whenever possible. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am a former patient that will absolutely never set a toe into this office again. I've had five root canals in my life and theirs were the only ones ever to a. Take less than an hour b. Cost me range of motion in my face c. Make my smile more painful than it was d. Cost me thousands in additional care. The office staff was asking for this review before I even left the office. I was still friggen numb! All they seem concerned with is their next vacation or paying for the flat screens in their office. Dont go to these butchers if you want to keep your smile. So heres the review you so desperately wanted. A secondary endodontist had to retreat my tooth after this office also told me I was healing but should schedule a root end resection. Believe me when I say I'll be writing to the dental association in combination with this review. Secondary endodontist fixed what they did and I am officially out of pain and now can turn my attention toward furious that I went through this. The treatment from this office was a literal nightmare. My partner was waking up to me screaming NOOOOO in my sleep after they worked on me! Root canal is supposed to be therapy not torture. Thanks. read more

Went to see Dr. Fabian for a second opinion after my dentist screwed up a filling and said I needed a root canal immediately. Dr. Fabian checked it out and explained that my tooth was, in fact, ok, and it would just take some time for nerve to heal. Or, if I preferred, they could do the root canal and fix the pain immediately. I elected the conservative approach and a couple months later the sensitivity is gone. Nice to find someone who will do what's best for you and your pocketbook. read more

Midwest Endodontic Specialists did an amazing job! I've previously had a very bad experience with a root canal at another specialist. Therefore, I was really afraid when I went, but they made me feel very comfortable. They gave me the proper amount of treatment to numb my mouth so I felt no pain at all. The best part of all is that they set my chair back so I could watch the next installment of my favorite show on Netflix! The office was very nice and clean and the staff was cheerful and friendly. read more
