But a year later I went in with my boyfriend and was talking to the doctor that worked on me before. He did a free x-ray for me which was quite kind and offered to do a feeling for me so my tooth didn't end up being lost for free which was also very nice. But when I went into my appointment they numbed me with the gel and then we're getting ready to put the needle in my mouth and I asked are you doing a block. He said yes I said I have a traumatic experience with a block please do not do a block. Insisted that it was the only way to do it and then if it didn't happen he wasn't going to do the procedure and instead of trying to console me that my experience wasn't going to be the same as other ones he just said well if it's not going to be done the work isn't going to happen so now I have to look for another dentist which is going to take over 2 months to get in and I'm probably going to lose my molar in the process. I feel in this aspect even though he was kind enough to do it for free which I greatly appreciate there was a lack of understanding and compassion. I thought this was my forever go to dental place and unfortunately I've been let down again. He even insisted that if they were to pull my molar they would have to do a block too and I said I've had two molars pulled and they didn't have to do a block and it went fine. So instead of trying to do it my way which is the way that other dentists have done it and it's been fine he wanted to do it his way. Or I don't get the care that I need and I feel that is the opposite of what health institutions should be standing for.
