This review is not for the motel rooms instead, I will talk about their canoe rental service…read more My large group of 25 people arrived on a Friday and rented 13 canoes. All canoes were shared between two people except one. The staff only charged him the price of half a canoe which was super kind! (~$35 each) They drove us down the river 15 miles which is typically a one night trip but, since we opted to float down the river instead of paddling, we spent two nights and three days on the river. The experience was great but I want to talk only about their service. On Sunday, we floated back to where our cars were parked and left the canoes by the river. It's an awesome service they provide and a really unique trip! I would recommend Eagle Rock to anyone. I drove 8 hours from Long Island and I would still recommend this service. The price cannot be beat by any providers in NY.

Our room was dated but clean, it had a decent tv, a comfy enough couch, a little desk. The towels were clean, the shower had decent water pressure. Service: everyone was friendly but there isn't often someone at the front desk. Food: the breakfast isn't fancy but it is well prepared and sets you up for the day! We didn't have problems, but for hotels I try to convey the expectations. It's good home base for sleeping, it's central to a lot of smaller towns and a short tribe to Tionesta where they hold the firefly festival. If it was a four or five star experience, I would've given it that but you get what you get. It's the middle of the road place where you can lay your head.

The room was overall clean and in good condition (except for a little grunge near the tub/toilet and desk), and the beds were comfortable with the mattress topper. I assume there were only a handful of other guests because it was very quiet. Breakfast was typical for this chain with a mix of a few hot items and the classic continental items.

It almost reminds me of when Sonny owned the place. The wings I had were perfectly cooked! I'll definitely be back! As for the person who posted the two star review, she posted 25 reviews in one day, so there's no frame of reference for her visit, so I'd take it with a grain of salt. For as many crappy reviews as she's posted about the food and prices, maybe she should learn how to cook!

We'll definitely be back soon!  5/5 rating for us!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clarion and had an incredible experience, largely…read morebecause of Terra. The breakfast area was spotless, truly "brand new" clean, and the food was fresh, well stocked, and honestly delicious for hotel food. But Terra is what made this stay stand out. Even when it was busy, she was everywhere, keeping everything clean, full, and running smoothly while constantly checking in with guests. She brought such a genuine, positive energy to the space. What really stood out was how she connected with people. She took the time to show my son how things worked and explain why, and I saw her doing the same for other families. That level of care is rare. The best way to describe her is superhuman. She is truly next level. Every hotel needs a Terra.

Every little detail from the cookies in your room when you check in, to the amenities in the common areas insure that the tranquil feeling stays. If you're lucky enough to do the taste of the wilds dinner, I highly recommend doing the wine pairing with it. A caboose! Every kids dream to ride in a caboose! I got to sleep in one! How awesome is that?…read moreIt is wonderful. The A/C was perfect during This record heat wave in the 90s! So comfy! It is a perfect size for the night! There is a fridge with a freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a nice side chair, luggage rack. A shower, a nice bathroom sink with a vanity. There are chairs outside to sit and watch the world go by. It is fairly quiet inside also. We plan on coming up another time and stay as we found a wonderful old style restaurant... Sam's... just down the road. Also it is right next to the Titusville train which we plan to ride in the morning. All aboard!

I will start my review with the positives. There are only two: the staff, particularly the woman at…read morethe desk, was very pleasant and as helpful as they could be. And the bed was very comfortable. That's it. Now for the not-so-great aspects of our stay. Sadly, this will take a bit of time. It was the opening day of the season so we thought it might actually be the best experience. You know....rooms all freshly cleaned and checked and ready for the season. Nope. It started with check-in when credit cards could not be processed because the phone line was not working. The woman needed to write down all my credit card details so she could "keep trying." That's a little unnerving but we understood. Things happen. Then we go to our caboose (1001) and it has not been aired out - stale and beastly hot. Since no windows open, we left the door open and blasted the A/C. Then we looked at the room. Think Red Roof Inn with no remodeling since maybe 1980. Bad. But - OK - make the best of it. At least it was clean(ish). Bzzzz....bzzzzz....now what? Three wasps. Great. The desk clerk came with a swatter and a can of wasp spray. She got 1 and left the tools for us. Are we done? Nope. Next, we discovered that there was no water pressure at the bathroom sink or shower. Only a weak trickle/drip. Maintenance came pretty quickly but, after several back-and-forth trips, determined the problem could not be fixed for our stay. We had now been unpacked for a couple hours and were just about to leave for the evening. But first, we had to drag everything to a new room, 2 doors down. I guess this was actually a good thing since the 2nd caboose (1003) was marginally less shabby than the first. Marginally. After all of the issues we had, you would think we would be offered some token of compensation, some amount deducted from our bill. Nope. Not a word and, frankly, I didn't ask. We had been understanding and even cheerful throughout all the problems yet the business did not see fit to do the right thing. The biggest shame of it is that my husband, a train enthusiast, has wanted to stay at the Caboose Motel for a long time. We just never got there until we made a special point to go. Now we know and we don't need to do that ever again.
