I took my CTS-V for a full PPF job. All my dealings were with James. After receiving the car back I noticed that the driver's door keyless entry feature ( just grabbing the door handle with key in pocket) was not working as well as the left rear door. The next day I proceeded to look into it and found that the cables for the antenna within the driver's door handle were stripped (see pictures). I reached out to James to share my findings as well as report some lifting edges and sharpie marks left on the PPF. He said to bring it back that they would take care of it. After talking to his technicians he claimed that they found the handle without any cable connections. I told him I was taking it to the dealership to get properly diagnosed and taken care of, to which he agreed to cover the cost for. Up to this point he was very friendly and reassuring. After I contacted him again with what the dealership quoted me, James changed his tone with me and proceeded to gaslight me. Saying that they didn't do it, that someone else had worked on that door yet the door was working fine when I dropped off the car with them. He reluctantly agreed to cover the repair bill and asked me to send him contact info to send the money over. After I did so I have just been ghosted with no response. read more

I have to say how disappointed I am with the level of customer service I've had with Chad. To start, I've been a very loyal customer to Chad by having him work on all of my cars for the past several years as well as referring several friends to him. I would even consider the professional relationship to also be a friendship as well. Chad and I would often talk about cars and car related things. He has worked on my 2017 Camaro ZL1 with a clear bra wrap and ceramic tint. When I moved from Michigan to California, I even tried to find a charger hellcat in Michigan not only due to the pricing, but I also only trusted Chad to work on the car. As a result, I had my friend pick up the car on my behalf and drop it off to Chad to get the window tint done. Fast forward a couple of years to late 2019 when I bought my 2020 mclaren 600LT. I called around to several reputable shops here in California, but I didn't trust the work that they would do compared to Chad. I gave Chad a call and asked if he wanted to come out to California to do the job. Without hesitation he said absolutely. We agreed on a price and even included him doing window tint on my new Tesla and full wrap on the mclaren. While Chad was out here doing the work on the Mclaren, I received a text message stating that he accidentally caused damage to the Mclaren. He sent everything including how it happened as well as pictures to my phone. I immediately drove up to the shop where the work is being done to check out the damages for myself. I wasn't sure what was required to do the repair, but Chad was very adamant that he would do whatever it took to make the situation right. Because Chad ran out of time before finishing with the Tesla, he said he would come back out to California to finish the car and finish the Mclaren. I was really blown away with a customer support. Because I had a close relationship with Chad, I even tried to help him financially for his second trip. I had two of my coworkers with brand new Teslas get their car tinted during his second trip out a month later. I'm very disappointed in how he had decided to handle this. As this part had never been damaged before on another Mclaren, it took several months between working with my dealership, the authorized repair McLaren body shop, and mclaren corporate. We eventually found out the price on the part (a pillar trim piece) which was roughly $500. Chad was unhappy with that and tried to find the part cheaper elsewhere. I told Chad I didn't want to wait a few weeks for the part to arrive from somewhere else as it was currently at the body shop getting the doors aligned and I was under a time crunch to get the car back. Nonetheless I let Chad order it from another dealer and have it sent here. Fast forward several months, I eventually found out from McLaren Corporate and the exact cost to replace this part since it was unable to be touched up at a certified Mclaren body shop. To my surprise as well as Chad's, the repair cost was around $3,000 as it was molded to the a pillar. This would require the entire front end to be taken apart and a bunch of other work. When I sent the exact bill from Mclaren and the body shop to Chad, his immediate reaction was he was not going to pay for that and the most that he would pay is $500. This is ironic coming from someone that admitted to causing the damage and saying he would do whatever it took to make this situation right. Chad even said he'd come out to California to replace the part himself. Do you think I'd trust an XPEL/tint installer to tear apart my entire mclaren?! No way! The entire way the thing unfolded is sickening. Chad has blown off text messages, phone calls, and even letters from myself and my attorney threatening small claims court action. Due to the current backup and process during COVID, it's made seeking legal action difficult. Im really disappointed in how Chad handled this. In the matter of 3 years, I gave Chad roughly $10-15K in work, not including friends that I've sent to him. I would have continued to have him work on my cars, as well as having our good friendship, but the way he handled things were flat out wrong. Maybe his business was hurting during COVID but based on social media, that didn't seem to be the case. I didn't give Chad a damaged car to work on, nor did I cause the damages. I really wish he would do the right thing. Please do yourself a favor and don't use Chad for his work. He's great at social media and has a great group of close friends; many of which I'm friends with as well. I've come to find out from ex employees that my experience is not isolated.
