I spoke with the front office staff personally and confirmed through a phone call and text message. Now when I went into my scheduled appointment today, after they had already started my oldest daughter's appointment, they then decided to check my insurance. Now I had just started a new job that actually offers insurance but the new insurance hasn't crossed over yet, however I did not know this...until the middle of my daughter's appointment when the front office staff informed me in front of the whole building. This is very poor customer service and not the proper way for a business to be run. UPDATE: After accepting Mellissa's offer to correct her office staff's mistakes, she rescheduled my daughters appointments for April the 9th and told me she would text me back with a confirmation. This morning I received a voicemail asking to call Melissa back to which I did and she responded by cancelling my daughters appointments. Singh, Melissa, and his staff do not take accountability for their mistakes and they have very poor customer service as I have stated previously.

The last couple appointments were anything but warm feels. It's definitely all about numbers and we don't even see the same people anymore, including doctor. Everyone barely speaks to you now, and they have attitude when they do, especially if you don't do exactly what they want you to. They also do not offer self pay discount and are very pricey. But the last straw was our last appointment, recently. They say my son has several cavities they want to fix (on baby teeth), they had complete attitudes when I discussed with them our plan for OUR children. And then I find out a filling they did previously (no more than 12-18 months ago), has fallen out and they will do nothing about it. They skipped over that info very quickly, yet want to fill 4 other teeth. Needless to say, we no longer recommend this practice. We will find someone that really cares about our children and not just another number, or money in the bank.

When I called the office to make appointments, I tried to get all three of us (my husband, son, and myself) scheduled at times near each other so that we can continue being seen bi-annually around the same time. The receptionist was unable to book the three of us at similar times for many months. My son had been experiencing some tooth pain, so I opted to have his appointment scheduled sooner while my husband and I took appointments at a later date. They were not able to schedule any of us on the same day. My son (6 years old) was seen. After he was seen, I was informed that the dentist thinks he may have a cavity that was causing pain, but that they couldn't verify this because they were unable to take x-rays on him. They didn't have the correct equipment (a smaller x-ray sensor that would fit in his mouth) to perform x-rays. They referred him to a pediatric dentist that doesn't accept insurance. Because the office performed a cleaning, multiple pediatric dentist offices would not see my son as they require that a cleaning be done for all new patients. Eventually I was able to find an office that would accept him as a new patient and had him taken care of. I wish I had known that they wouldn't be able to do x-rays on a child before they performed the rest of the services, as I would have instead taken him to a dentist that was better equipped to see smaller children in the first place. My husband and I both had appointments scheduled, but not together. The best the office could do was to see my husband on Wednesday and myself the next day, Thursday. The office contacted me the Tuesday before my appointment to tell me that the dentist had another appointment and needed to reschedule mine. The receptionist was trying to reschedule mine for more than a month away, which I balked at because again, I wanted to keep our appointments around the same time. After spending about 5 minutes on the phone trying to find a time that would work for us both, my husband sent me a text message to let me know that someone from Gildner Family Dentistry had called him to reschedule but that he was working and wasn't able to take the call. I told this to the receptionist and she said that she was mistaken, it wasn't my appointment that needed to be rescheduled (even though we had just spent at least 5 minutes trying to find an appointment for ME). She mistakenly told me that my appointment needed to be rescheduled when it was my husband's on a different day. She rescheduled his appointment for the following day, Thursday, to be immediately following my appointment. My husband made arrangements with his employer and changed meeting times with his work to accommodate their needed change. The morning of our appointments, the office called to let us know that they would need to again reschedule because the hygienist that we were to see was now unavailable. We're now looking to schedule appointments with another practice, but are now past our bi-annual cleaning date. We'll only be able to get one cleaning done this year because of the disorganization of this office. I found my interactions with this office to be extremely frustrating and unprofessional. While the office brands itself as a "family" dentist practice, it's unequipped to treat all me members of the family. The office staff are unorganized. Multiple rescheduled appointments cause more headache than it's worth. My family will seek treatment at another office. I did find the hygienist that treated my son to be very friendly. The dentist had good bedside manner and seemed knowledgeable. I did like the personalities of the staff, but can't look past the frustrating issues that we've encountered and feel that my family would be better off being treated by a different practice. The dentist has been very explanatory about all services and procedures, she takes her time and doesn't rush us out. All of the assistants have been sweet as well. They let me go back with my kids and that makes my girls more comfortable. I love that they have TVs to help distract them, as well as nitrous oxide to keep them less anxious. I'd recommend them over and over.
