We returned because after a quick visit to Costco, I made a wrong twist/turn and pinched something horrible in my lower back. We went right back and they saw me right away. OMG! That was the best care! The Chiropractor explained each movement during the exam, and he explained what he was going to do prior to each adjustment. Full Story: I'm a full-time interpreter with chronic migraines. I've been searching for care for a while, and have done PLENTY of research. Thrive seemingly is liked by the community, so I called in need last Friday. As made clear by my message, I was in INCREDIBLE pain and did all the research, so asked for a same day appointment for the initial appointment, and the following Saturday for the first adjustment (since Thrive apparently refuses to do xrays & initial adjustment in the same appointment). The owner not only INCORRECTLY identified the requested date, then insinuated that I (like wtf?!) was lying because she was certain that her front of house (Taylor, apparently) HAD called me back on Friday. This shitty business decided to wait more than a week to contact me, and when they did, it was only to cover their own ass and rating. Disgusting. I've shared this business practice with my fellow asl interpreters, and have found another chiropractor who was INSANELY great (and saw me the SAME day, with XRays and Adjustments). Strongly recommend spending your dollars elsewhere.

He was able to check my knee to see what positions were causing pain and determined it was likely a meniscus injury. He suggested some laser treatments. I am amazed that after only two treatments it is so much improved. I have gone from using a crutch and mostly sitting to moving around quite well. I still have to tread carefully on stairs or uneven terrain but I'm grateful that it is healing well and look forward to seeing the next level of improvement after a couple more laser treatments. He has chronic back pain and injuries from serving in the Army and prefers more natural approaches before considering major medical interventions. After his initial assessment and first adjustment with Dr. Dave, he immediately said, "Wow, I feel so much better." Seeing his experience--and learning so much during his assessment--finally encouraged me to schedule my own. At that point, Dr. Dave was honestly my last resort before moving forward with spinal injections or minimally invasive procedures. I had chronic lower back pain, migraines/headaches, and a history of multiple car accidents. The pain had become unbearable and was limiting my everyday activities. As a mom of a three-year-old, I needed to be able to keep up with her. During my evaluation, I learned that it wasn't only my lower back that needed attention--my neck was also a major problem. I had dealt with chronic migraines and headaches for years but never connected them to my neck or spine. Sometimes my neck would even feel like needles when trying to hold my head up. The knowledge Dr. Dave provides about chiropractic care and how it relates specifically to YOUR individual assessment is unmatched. After my assessment, Dr. Dave adjusted my back and neck. When he adjusted my neck, I felt INSTANT relief from pain and tension I had experienced for years--so much relief that all I could do was cry. I also felt like I could breathe better, especially through my nose. I literally felt like I was floating on clouds! It was one of the best feelings ever. Dr. Dave gave me an individualized care plan and explained when I should expect to notice improvement. Since I had already seen the difference chiropractic care was making for my husband, I was 100% on board. We started addressing my problem areas aggressively, usually 2-3 times a week when my schedule allows. By my SIXTH adjustment, I noticed a complete difference in my activity and tolerance levels. I could do everyday activities with significantly fewer limitations. The biggest thing for me: I was already scheduled for spinal injections before starting chiropractic care. After only SIX adjustments, I CANCELLED my spinal injections because I no longer felt that I needed them! I am no longer in pain the way I used to be. If I notice myself tensing up, I use the stretches I've learned and get adjusted. My migraines and headaches have also become much less frequent. Scheduling adjustments is extremely easy, and Discover Life offers additional services, including massage--which is next on my list because I've heard Ms. Tammy is amazing, and my husband already gets massages there. Regardless of which provider you see, the team provides individualized care plans, recommendations, therapeutic treatments, and at-home exercises and stretches. They even have videos on their YouTube page, so if you forget an exercise, you can go back and review it. My personal favorites are the exercise ball and foam roller. Combining those exercises with my adjustments has made a HUGE difference for me. Chiropractic care has become something our whole family participates in, including our daughter. I truly wish I had gone to Dr. Dave years sooner. Starting care here has been one of the best decisions I've made for myself and my family.
