So I go into MidinMod last week. We need a sectional and I liked their furniture based on what I saw online. The store was empty except for two men who work there and a dog. So this is the long and short of it - only the dog greeted me and even it was not all that friendly. For 15 minutes I walked around and both guys looked at me quizically from way across the store, but neither of them ever came over, never said hello, never said anything. I know when my $$ is not wanted so I left. Very weird experience. read more

I went to midinmod and was and instantly in love the furniture styles. I checked out the Delaney sofa, I ended up ordering it online. Delivery was quick and easy. Upon receiving it, I noticed their were frays along the sofa. I thought maybe it was just a defect in this particular sofa. I contacted the store and I they exchanged the sofa. I received my second sofa thinking it was great. I have recently come across a tear in the sofa ripped at the seam. I called/emailed customer service. They told me they can do nothing about it because the tear is most likely from wear. They told me I can't exchange or return because it has been more than 30 days. Keep in mind that I have had the sofa for LESS THAN 50 days and there was already a tear. I have no idea when the tear occurred, it was just not something observed as there was a decorative throw blanket on top. The fact that customer service says they can't do anything because it is from wear is absurd. I have no pets, no kid, live alone, and the sofa is not heavily used. In all I am understanding that they stand by terrible quality items. I have contacted and emailed customer service and all they could say is they can't do anything about it. I asked for a manager to contact me and I've been waiting for a call back today two days now. I never expected to spend almost $2000 on such terrible quality. read more

We purchased a new leather sofa at Mid In Mod, Upper Kirby, Houston, TX about 9 months ago. The sofa is perfect for us. The sales associate on the floor was able to answer all our questions and complete our purchase. A week ago we came home from a short vacation and my 20 year old son said the sofa had a problem (ha-ha). The sofa had a leg broken off. We called Mid In Mod and they sent a very experienced repair team out, no questions asked, no cost to us. The repair was completed and the sofa is as good as new. read more

It's a really nice place and the manager/owner (?) Sean was so helpful and just incredibly informative and honest about everything when it came to the prices and payment plans. He managed to pull some strings in order for us to get the couch delivered earlier, free of charge. They are all so incredibly accommodating and are willing to help you out in any way possible. The sofa I originally had my eye on sold out, and the staff was so helpful in finding another option that fit my style-- answering all of my questions and even moving around furniture to figure out if it fit the picture in my mind. They have the laziest and unfriendliest people "working" there. When we walked in on Friday July 16th after 5pm, we were not greeted by the two women in the store. They were too busy on their phones. When asked for help, their demeanor was unwilling to help. They never once got up from the chairs they were sitting on and continued being engrossed on their phones. One of them just said that all the prices are marked on the furniture. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. There are way too many furniture stores in town. read more

We came here to check out the Fiona table but discovered that the table was much too small for us. The staff here helped us find a bigger table with similar specs and because it wasn't available online anymore they were willing to part with their floor model, even helping us take it apart and loading it into our car for us without extra charge. They were so helpful and we walked out of the store with exactly what we needed. I'm so happy that I'm posting this on the way home. DO. NOT. BUY. I bought a couch from here a year ago and it's already broken and falling apart. I don't have kids and the couch has only been gently used. The frame of the couch has snapped on BOTH sides where the front legs connect. The frame of the couch is cheap MDF particle board and not meant to last. My wife emailed the company and we received an offer to fix the couch for free (if we brought it to their warehouse). However, I picked up the couch today only to find THE WORST repair job that I've ever seen. Their staff put a new piece of MDF over the broken MDF board, left screws and staples sticking out everywhere, left the couch fabric hanging unattached with loose staples, and now the legs don't attach correctly. It's unsightly, and it's a fix I could have done better myself. No one at the warehouse was willing to discuss the poor craftsmanship. I'm going to be calling the management directly, but for now I wanted to alert others to STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. I attached a few pictures of their "repair" below. Notice the third picture and how roughly half of the couch leg is floating, not supporting the couch, and bound to cause future problems. read more

AVOID, DO NOT buy furniture from this company. ordered furniture online and was told it was out of stock. why is it online showing it is in stock? was told it would be about 6 weeks. followed up after 6 weeks via email, no response. followed up via phone and was told "we're not sure when it will be available." cancelled the order and was told my money would be refunded within a couple of days. a week later, no money. instead i received a text message saying my order was ready to be delivered. it was cancelled! called again to ensure cancellation and refund. they confirmed. a couple of days later another text message to confirm delivery, called again to confirm cancellation. this time an email was sent confirming and money would be refunded within 2 days. one week later, still no money. not to mention their showroom in Katy is absolutely disgusting. trash everywhere and not open during scheduled business hours. read more

Horrendously disappointed in my transaction with Midinmod. Purchased two nightstands and paid a LARGE fee for delivery to dfw. 667$ charged. Immediately received an e mail thanking me for my purchase and stating the stands would be delivered the following weekend. Had to e mail them myself for an update on delivery and was told it wouldn't be for yet another week so I asked to cancel as I found it on Wayfair for less money, no delivery fee, and two day delivery. Was told in writing that was fine and they would issue a full refund within 4-5 days. Here we are two weeks later and no refund. I've called numberous times, e mailed multiple times, filed a claim with PayPal. Nothing. Called today and was told they tried to issue me a refund minus 2.5% and the issue is somehow PayPal's. I said no- I was told I would get the full amount and never got it. Called PayPal and they said they have heard absolutely nothing from midinmod aka Ashcroft furnitures. VERY frustrated. Quick to take your money but won't give it back or take ownership when they mess up. Wouldn't purchase here again for any circumstance. read more

Im not quick to write a bad review, but after sending 2 emails and now going on 2 weeks with no response, I'm left with no option. I purchased the Kano sofa and chair back in June. Love the look, but not so much the quality. The material started to pill on the area where you sit within the first month. MidInMod did come through the first time and replaced the sofa with a new one. 3 months later the fabric on the new sofa is pilling and worse then before. The sofa now looks like it's actually from the mid century. The chair is in perfect condition because nobody sits on it except for my cat. Every time I look at the sofa I'm super disappointed, even bought new pillows thinking it would help. Definitely not my money's worth. Either I was super unlucky and got 2 sofas from the same spool of fabric that was bad or the material is just bad in general. It may look good for show, but not for use. read more

Beautiful, well made furniture at reasonable prices! The service is incredible. We needed an urgent delivery, basically next-day, which they don't officially offer (supposed to be 5-7 days). But I corresponded with them in the little chat window that pops up on the website and within minutes had an agreement for expedited delivery! At the same price as regular, BTW. It was late on a Monday night when I logged in and they answered instantly, followed up early Tuesday morning without me having to do anything, and the furniture was in my house fully assembled by noon on Wednesday. And it's gorgeous! Definitely coming here first for anything else we need. read more

After having the furniture and sitting on it for a day, it just feels cheap and not comfortable. It is "cute" and "modern" but for just a little bit more money, you can get some much better stuff in my opinion. My personal feeling it is not worth the price point. I wish I could go back in time and purchase elsewhere. Also, for a $90 delivery fee, a third party will deliver the furniture, but you have to arrange it and deal with the packaging. We asked them to please take the packaging and they refused. Now I have a hallway full of stuff. Other places offer "white glove" service for the same price so I feel kind of feel like I was ripped off. read more

We purchased a chair that we actually found on Facebook Marketplace. It was the last one, so we got a good deal on it. The staff was very helpful and nice and helped load the chair into our truck. In addition to furniture, there is cool art from local artists (they will give you the artist's contact info) and vintage glassware for sale. There is a 1 month return policy and 1 year warranty so we feel good about the purchase. It's not the best quality furniture out there but it gives you the look you want at a great price. read more

We were very happy with the furniture and prices! Also we were able to pick up our table and chairs quickly. No delivery fee since we picked up. The table and chairs are so beautiful. Roman helped us and was very nice. We plan to come back in the future for some more pieces. I've recommended the place to others. We have not been able to find another store like it in Houston. We've found some online, but you can't really see the pieces. If I had one complaint, it's that they could turn the air conditioning on more in the warehouse! I paid for a Daphne sofa and loveseat in full during the holidays and before I did asked if I could pick it up in a month or two since my house was being built and they said it won't be a problem. I was told to call the warehouse beforehand, which I did, so they can prepare the furniture before my arrival. I spoke to a lady at the warehouse on phone and she said my furniture will be ready, I rented a van and headed to Mid in Mod (the same fraudulent company as Ashcroft Imports) warehouse in Sugar Land, TX. When I got there they said o sorry we rand out of the sofa and they were expecting a container from Turkey in February (this was in January btw) which means they took my money and sold my furniture to someone else. They apologized, offered free delivery and 2 side tables to which I said ok. I took the loveseat and dinning table home but I didn't open the loveseat just incase something happened. Fast-forward to late Feb, they didn't contact me so I called them and expressed my displeasure at not having my furniture and they promised to bring a temp sofa and deliver my daphne sofa the following week. They called for the delivery the following and delivered a fake daphne sofa compared to the quality of the loveseat. The legs were different in wood quality, the material was not velvet (like the loveseat I picked up and daphne sofa in their store). Since the furniture was delivered at night I could tell until the following day. I called them about the fraud they were trying to pull off and they claimed ignorance. Loveseat was from Turkey and the Daphne I guess was outsourced to Malaysia. I called them to get the sofa, loveseat and flimsy table they offered and got my refund . Mid in Mod and Ashcroft Imports are a FRAUD, stay away from them. I have pictures to prove it. read more
