They claim that you need to do this in person in a banking center, then why does this page even have a link? Why does it not say redeemable only in a branch. If only I had known that if there was ever going to be an issue with my account, that it would require talking to the branch manager. I would have never opened the damn thing in the first place. Having to speak to a single person with all of the power is ridiculous, I'm waiting for a call back now for over 3 hours regarding UNAUTHORIZED transactions in the account. A call back that I Really doubt I'm going to receive. If I knew having an issue and getting it resolved would be like having to cancel a freaking gym membership, I would have just opened an additional account with any other bank available. Don't let their sign up perks cloud your judgment. When the going gets tough, and you need help. That help is locked behind a door and you are on their time to get it fixed. The phone app is clunky and NOT user friendly badly in need of an update. It will not perform necessary functions. Have to go to website which does NOT accommodate smart phones! I had Two Accounts with them... On one of them was charged and became negative, I tried using the Mobile app and transferring the money and got an error code that did not let me fulfill the transaction. Soon after I called Their number on the back of the card and was told to come in person to make the transfer.... Did not get a chance to until four days later and had hundreds of dollars in late fees and extended late fees and had proof of screen shots of the error code from the day witch my mobile app did not make the transfer and the error code it gave me and these stingy fu*kers did not refund me a single dime... I ended up paying all the fees and closed my accounts as fast as I could after that horrible experience. The money never mattered but what a shit show of an operation do these Chain of banks run.. not just this location, All of them. The Queen Creek location is even worse yet I will never be using these trash banks again. read more

I have out-of-state banks so while I am here I thought I would cash a check I got from somebody that banks here and was drawn from this bank and they want to charge you eight dollars to cash their own check.. wow ... no thanks I'll hold on to the check for a couple months till I go home to cash it at my own bank... read more

Midfirst has been the best bank i have ever banked with. I even kept them when i moved to the Washington DC area. I have never had one problem with customer service. I had charges placed on my card and called them with the issue. They stoped the charges, refunded my account and sent me a new card within a few days to DC. After reading the revievs. I will have to assume that people are upset that they put their account in that situation. read more

This company should be called Mid F*CKED. They have constantly screwed up our business account. They even mixed up our information with another client, then couldn't reach us, then closed our account and nearly sent a check for our entire business to the wrong address...I am going to trash $200 worth of checks when I close this and take my business account to a different bank. Now they won't take a check written to us because our DBA is apparently not correct in the Alias, but that was supposed to have been fixed, not. Done Done Done. Long review warning: One of the worse experiences with a "bank" I've ever had. While trying to rebuild my credit, I was advised to open a secured credit card with this branch, however they required me having an active checking account with them first. So I opened one. Then they told me I'd be approved right away for my $300 secured card. They denied me immediately, but only after they got me to open an account with them. I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to just keep the account, maybe it would help having them reporting positively on my damaged credit. As of today I've used my debit card only a handful of times making small purchases. What I wasn't aware of was that they charge a monthly fee unless I used my card like 25 times a month or if I set up direct deposit with them (this was something that wasn't discussed with me when I opened my account) This first monthly fee hit my account right after one of my small purchases was made, this caused my account to go negative. Then they added a second fee of $32 to my account since it was now considered deliquent, THEN a $20 overdraft fee on top of that. All of this was going on without my knowledge. A month went by and out of the blue I got a statement in the mail saying I owed over $94 and that my account was closed by the branch that opened it. I was like "what? How could I owe money since I rarely used this card?" After speaking with a phone rep, I was transferred to this branch(where my trouble first started) they answered "yeah, hello, what did you need?" I asked is this midfirst? The bank associate said "yes, what was your question?" I explained what happened and how confused I was. During my conversation the branch associate apparently handed the phone to someone else who didn't seem keen on introducing themselves either. This nameless associate told me that I had to pay the full balance before she could assist me, then I would need to reach out to the midfirst headquarters and ask if I could reapply for a bank account...what...the...frick! In actuality having this account worsened my credit, it seemed quite clear that this bank brand and it's associates has zero concern with keeping customers. Overall conclusions: Midfirst might be a good bank for some but this branch is a God awful representation of its customer service, it's willingness to keep customers, and refuses to consider the main premise of customer focus or appreciation. Oh but on a positive note they hand out orange flavored suckers when you visit the branch...I guess that is their subtle way of displaying how much of a sucker they consider us to be. read more

The absolute worst customer service and bank ever, I was skeptical about leaving a review but now seeing the rest of the reviews I am definitely not alone, the girls treat you like shit and take their bad days out on you, they tell you one thing and the other one tells you another, but nothing beats the nasty attitude and the snarky remarks from Tessa, they are so quick to yell at you or use indirect comments when you're doing something that doesn't "follow" their policies but when they mess up WHICH IS OFTEN they act like it's never happened before, I have money deposited in the wrong account, lied about having our checks ordered and made felt like I was crazy when in reality they had never ordered them, they have yelled at my sister in law while she was pregnant during the coin shortage a day after I went to get change for my business because they thought it was me trying to come again, like we have been banking here for a year and you can't tell the difference let alone check account numbers before making assumptions, and this is me being nice and stating the small things they have done. I could go on for days. All I'm saying is don't bank here and MidFirst do better because all though this is the worst location, most of the other locations have pretty rude workers as well. read more

Most unprofessional Midfirst Bank in Arizona. Had a discrepancy with my account and spoke with the teller manager, immediately told me there was no way her seasoned teller told me wrong information and confirmed a manager came over and also told me. I will be opening this case with corporate as it is on camera no manager ever came over or said two words to me. Do not go here is you want the professional friendly warm Midfirst customer service you are used too. I will be closing my account at then end of the month and banking elsewhere. read more
