Small businesses beware Day to day transactions are equal to the competition. Any change to an account is painful at best. For example: Account setup has taken over 30 days. The bank executes one step in the process then stops processing. Expect a different answer from each person you talk to. Even after asking a manager to fix the problem, dead silence. My assumption is, they know how painful it is for a multimember LLC to set up an account elsewhere that they act with that mindset read more

My wife has been a loyal member for 20 years, NEVER any issues, per them nor I, until this week. Holding up a local check, as long as they have, should be criminal, especially in this horrid economy. Shame on you Midfirst. We WILL be finding a new band. read more

Great experience! We were helped by Naomi and then Jose who were both very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Overall this was a decent experience. The empires were perfunctorily polite and pleasant, but there was no real warmth. Maybe they were having a bad day, but everyone seemed to want to do their own busy work rather than help people. read more

very hard to do any kind of business there. No customer service. The teller there was lippy, rude and condescending. won't ever bank with them again. read more

Bank is listed as closing at 6PM on Apple Maps but actually closes at 5PM. Employee had no respose when told.

Absolutely terrible customer service! Went in to deal with accounts my after the death of two family members. Was told by Caleb no one was available to help at the time and that they would call me back shortly. They never did. Went back in amd they told me I need forms but that they could not tell me what those forms were called. Now I have to deal with court to get money that is rightfully mine. read more

MidFirst has really disappointed me lately. I deposited cash after 4 on a Wednesday & it took them two whole business days to possess it even though it was cash AND I deposited at their bank. I understand those things take time but for those that pay bills & work until 5, it would be nice to know ahead of time that your money will not be readily available any time soon. This is just one of the many things that I believe could use improvement. On the flip side, their employees are very sweet at every location I have been to but the timeliness of their costumer service can also be improved. read more

Don't open your account online or at all!!! I wanted a local brick and mortar bank for those times I have cash deposits, so I decided on Midfirst since they have spectacular marketing in OKC and there seems to be one on every corner. I opened my account online just fine however and they didn't send my account number just a verification code. I called and asked when to expect more information and they said it would be mailed to my home soon. "Soon" for them is 4 weeks! I was getting fed up so I decided to go into the bank, leaving work early just to get there before they closed. I had to wait 20 minutes to verify my account, which lets face it, defeats the purpose and convenience of online banking...but whatever. They gave me my account number then, however they still wouldn't grant me access my account until I got a letter in the mail so that I could call them and verify again!?! What?! I'm sitting right in front of you now! In the meantime the $100 dollar deposit I placed into the account to open it is dwindling by $5 a week due to not receiving a direct deposit after 10 days! Are you kidding me?!? So after calling them to verify my account with a not-so nice agent who didn't seemed bothered by the scam this process is, I decided to close my account after never using it. So yet again I have to go into the bank to close my account. The branch teller at the Kelly location in Edmond was very nice but the damage had been done. I don't recommend Midfirst bank to anyone. read more

My husband uses an account at MidFirst located at 5801 NW 39th St in OKC to make coin deposits from our pay laundry machines into, and pay small bills out of. He's never overdrawn the account. Today, they refused the deposit and said the account was frozen but would not say why. Raquel Collins at MidFirst said they mailed a letter. We haven't received a letter so my husband asked to what address it was sent... they mailed it to an old address! Our new address had been updated a year ago on-line. Went on-line to see if there was an on-line message... that was frozen, too! Tried to get more info from Raquel Collins and, despite answering the security questions, she still wouldn't give any reason. She just said you'll get a letter and hung up. In the mean time, MidFirst is holding our money hostage. They refuse to email or fax this mysterious letter. We do not live in Oklahoma and it will be ridiculous if my husband has to travel there to close this account and retrieve our money. Totally confusing and unbelievably bad customer service! read more

I have been a customer for about 6 years, and my husband has been a customer for several more years than that. As of today, we will no longer be customers. December 19th we called MidFirst to cancel our debit cards, as my purse, wallet, ID, etc. had been stolen. You canceled the cards immediately and at that time flags should have gone up on our accounts. Fast forward to Monday, January 7th, when I received a call from a MidFirst branch manager to tell me that she had someone in the drive through pretending to act like me, using my ID and stolen checks from a 3rd party to write checks to themselves using my identity. The proof they gave the tellers to pretend they were me was my stolen ID and my stolen MidFirst debit card that YOU cancelled already. Somehow, this individual had already been to several other MidFirst banks to cash checks that day and your tellers allowed it to happen. Thankfully, at this last stop, the branch manager did her job, recovered the stolen ID and debit card, put a FRAUD RESTRICTION on my account and called me. I immediately went into the closest MidFirst bank we could find and my husband and I shut down our bank accounts so the bleeding would stop. I was told we were protected and opened new accounts. I was told those checks would not clear, as the FRAUD RESTRICTION was put on the account. Fast forward again to Friday, January 11th. Funds have been drafted against my account. TWO CHECKS for almost TWO THOUSAND dollars drafted against my account. How could this be?!?!?! Come to find out after running around town all day, someone at your bank made the decision, without my knowledge, to LIFT the FRAUD RESTRICTION from the accounts and now my NEW bank accounts that i opened as a result of the FRAUD were being debited for ILLEGAL CHECKS we had just tried to avoid 4 days ago. Not only am i completely confused and feeling violated; i have ZERO PROTECTION FROM MY OWN BANK. This is not OK. Make it right. read more

MidFirst has been our bank for many, many years. Wonderful service, wonderful people. We would not bank anywhere else.
