I love to find a good thrift store. However, this one did not impress me very much. There were some…read moregood finds, but the environment causes my trip to come up short. The floors are highly dirty with trash lying all over, not to include the distasteful music playing over the loud speakers. To each their own - Not my cup of tea. Prices are also decent, but questionable when finding the same item with different prices marked down. The staff is very friendly, but seems to be unable to answer any questions without calling a manager or higher-up.

Walking in I wasn't expecting much. The retail area is very nondescript and unmemorable. Very basic layout with rows of clothing separated by item/color, and some racks but not many by size. Shoes and purses lined the one wall, mens and children's were on the other side and housewares in the back. Some furniture items were showcased in the front with lesser quality pieces in the back. Little or no display or props other than furniture which is just there. At first glance I wasn't sure if I wanted to take the time to go thru the racks, after all I had hubby in the car (his choice) on a hot summer day. But once I dove in I couldn't stop. The brands and quality were some of the best. I saw Michael Kors over and over. Many items were like new or with tags. In about 15 minutes time I had an entire cart of items to try on. With my recent weight gain I'm finding less and less that fit (damn you covid!!) so I'm having to constantly shop to replenish my closet. I will say that the prices were higher than average for thrift and more in line with consignment, which normally I would bulk at given the retail space is so blah. But the quality was exceptional and I found several key pieces that are great additions to my wardrobe so it was worth the extra money. If I find the time I'll post some of the great items I bought. Just an example of pricing: tee shirts are in the $3.99 - $7.99 range, purses $9.99, jeans and shorts $7.99-$11.99, some blazers, coats and dresses were $19.99 They do have offers if you sign up for their email and I was able to score 5% just for asking to sign up (and mentioning the current discount the customer in front of me used). The staff were happy to give it to me without question and also to tell me how many people my purchase today fed ( a whooping 23!). It's shopping you can feel good about and also very worthy of your sell-able donations. Worth mentioning: no Sunday hours, easy to find BEHIND the Weis on 462 in East York beside the Petco.

I am going to go ahead and give this thrift shop 5 stars simply because whenever I am in town, if I…read morecan't get in there I know I'm missing something. This is a thrift shop but does not carry furniture or large items. Most of the store is women's clothing in all sizes from Petite to Plus. There are small children's and men's clothing areas. There are also children's toys, books, purses, jewelry, shoes and some accessories. There are also several small areas with linens, collectibles, small appliances and kitchen wares. One negative is a Keurig I purchased with a tag that it works, but it didn't. It turned on but that was it. I imagine they checked it came on and assumed someone would not donate a non working item. But I paid $15 and consider it a donation to their charitable contributions. OK so the clothes are pretty much exclusively in very good condition or new. They do mark up designer brands and new items with tags. I paid $25 for a Michael Kors dress with tags, and $8 for a new child's outfit. They have easily accessed dressing rooms and a speedy check out process. They offer a frequent buyer card with $10 off when filled. The store is crowded but very well organized. Clothes are hung by type, size and color. So if I am looking for a white long sleeved shirt size small, they are all hung in one place. One positive/negative is their amazing store window displays. They decorate the windows seasonally with the best of what is donated. It is incredibly enticing to see all the wonderful items that might be available inside. The catch is that NOTHING in the window is available for purchase until after the season is over. The Christmas windows items will be available January 9th at 10 am with the line forming early. So if something you have been wanting appears in that window display you will need to be on hand at a very specific date and time, like an estate sale or auction. Because I don't even live in the area, I pretty much don't even look at the windows since I can't buy anything there. I see from other reviews the store windows cause lots of angst for shoppers and for staff apparently. But since I know the deal I just accept it. One review from 2019 talks about a children's play area. I have been shopping here 10 years at least, and there is no children's play area. There is an area of toys for sale. When I was in last week 3 small children were tearing up the toys in there and screaming into a Frozen karaoke machine. When they put it down for a minute I scooped it up and bought it for my granddaughter. Yes, it is an alcove but every toy, book and game is priced so obviously for sale. Who in the world leaves a 2 and 4 year old unsupervised in a thrift shop toy sales area? So consider that if you read it below and wondered about it.

Maybe I was too preoccupied with the big box thrifts in the area; Community Aid, Salvation Army, and Goodwill to go out and explore those less known. Do yourself a favor - don't make my mistake! This little thrift store is full of treasures waiting to be discovered and supports a number of ministry projects. Easy to find off Route 72 and open till 8 pm most days this location in a residential neighborhood has its own lot. Inside you'll find displays that will rival any retail store window. The organization is thoughtfully arranged by color/size/garment and it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for. If you're a brand whore you won't be disappointed. I saw many Chico, Dress Barn, and even Michael Koors pieces, all in top notch condition. Several items still had tags attached. While their inventory isn't as plentiful as the big box thrift, it's ample. Quality and current trends were on point. Just like their Palmyra sister store the jewelry display is artfully arranged. Prices were fair. On average shirts ran from $3.99-$5.99, jeans and pants a bit higher. I scored a great pair of like new shoes for $3, Halloween items were just .25 cents apiece - regardless if it was a pair of funky glasses or a full blown costume. While there were only a few, it's worth checking out. Aside from ladies clothing which dominates the store you'll find a men's section, children's clothing, toys, housewares, a very small furniture dept. (with signs saying that area will be transformed into a Christmas area in the next few weeks), housewares, wicker, bric brack, books, + a small card & craft section. While I browsed soft music played overhead and the cashier was very eager to assist in any way she could to enhance your shopping experience. The two dressing rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of hooks. A 50% off coupon can be found in some of the weekly rural newspaper editions and they also offer different specials/sales events from time to time. They even accept returns on clothing only up to 14 days. Electronics are checked but you're encouraged to plug in and verify for yourself since they can't be returned. Donations are easy to unload at the dock and I overheard they welcome your donation of unwanted boxes and plastic bags. Now that I know they exist I'll be checking them out more often!
