good nursing care. probably good medical care IDK it was efficient and I was asleep... providers need to improve results letters and fix billing I have had several colonoscopies here; I have to go more often due to family history. My last appointment was efficient to the point of feeling like an assembly line, which the excellent nurses can only do so much to mitigate. The doctor has seen me a few times before but this time didn't seem to remember who I was. My hunch is they have to get through more procedures per day these days... As long as they take out any precancerous polyps I would not usually care but: 1) the results letter just says you have a benign biopsy not what kind of tissue it actually was and my doctor says that matters and there is no patient portal to see for yourself and (2) they have a new pathology provider through Gastro Health who didn't bill my insurance properly and instead sent me various bills claiming I owed money. So I had to call Gastro Health and later I had to call my insurance company which was all a huge pain and time consuming read more

I have been to Middlesex Digestive health for both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. I am personally not a fan of any procedure, but this team of professionals made ALL of the difference. I would highly recommend Dr. Gail Herzig. Her bedside manner is incredible. She clearly cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, and informed throughout the entire process. I have a terrible time with IV's and Cara D. was fabulous- she got it the very first time, in fact I didn't even feel the needle! Jonathan from Anesthesia was kind, and helpful and completely knocked me out -so thanks for that!!! Beware of this place. My procedure did not go as planned. This place operates as an assembly line ... very efficient ... unless you have a problem that slows them down. Then they rush you out. Sad to say, I feel that my needs and discomfort were just an inconvenience to them The system is designed to "process" as many people as quickly as possible. So walking me out, retching into my mask and wetting my pants, was all about maximizing their $$$ and profits, not about patient care. read more

I've had 3 procedures with Dr. Krims at this center. They were all painless and comfortable. His nurses are very attentive and the anesthesiologist was personable and trustworthy. Dr. Krims explains what he found after the procedures in a private room. He's obviously experienced and skilled. The practice is very busy but he spends as much time as you need for questions. The nursing staff calls the next day to see how you're feeling. read more

I had an extremely bad experience with Dr. Devarajan. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 8am on a Thursday. That morning, his office called and said that he needed to reschedule my appointment for 3:30 that afternoon, because he had an emergency at Emerson Hospital. About 1:00, his office called again and said that I could come in early at 2:00. I arrived at 2:00, but was made to wait until 3:30 anyway for my appointment. In fact, I was Dr. Devarajan's last appointment that day. Even worse, I remember twisting and moaning in pain during the colonoscopy procedure, because I was not sedated enough. I am sure that Dr. Devarajan and his assistant could have administered more sedative, but they did nothing. Later, I realized that more sedative would require more recovery time on my part. It was clear to me then that they just wanted to go home. Dr. Devarajan and the members of his staff I met that day are the most cool and uncaring medical professionals I have ever known. read more
