The people who work there extremely friendly. example: A Woman couldn't pay off the payment for overdue books, the staff in a nice friendly voice said "Well whatever you can pay is fine now and you can come back later when you have the money." i've been to libraries that were strict and actually will ask for a credit card and take your money, Or put a hold on you so you can't book out at that library. i've seen staff their help people on the computers, look up books,and recommend some or remind the patron that they have taking that book out.

Located in one of the toughest towns in Massachusetts, with a budget that should be at least doubled, and seriously understaffed this library delivers an incredible range of services. The collections are the best found in any local library of its size in the state and the historical collections are a treasure trove of Southeastern Massachusetts heritage matched only by larger facilities in Boston. Most outstanding is the quality of reference service delivered to the ever-changing needs of city residents. With a large transient population that has few other outlets for meaningful information the reference department has put together a collection and commitment to service that meets a huge level of need at minimal cost. How they do business could serve as a case study in a library school. A decade ago city residents led by the former director persevered and raised enough to renovate the early 20th century Carnegie building and give its collections a proper home. One would hope the city's residents value this gem in their midst.

Kristin was a huge help to me today, she was very patient and showed me how to use Microsoft Word, attach a resume, save it, etc. Such a great place. with nice people like her, what a difference her kindness made, She knows computers and has a easy way of talking and dealing with people, just awesome. The girls up front are friendly and also very nice. I highly recommend you stop in.

The infrastructure is nothing to write home about but there are near daily activities for children, an excellent array of books on hand and more museum passes than you could shake a stick at... all things that combine for a great library going experience. The staff are cheerful, the late fees are lenient and the patrons friendly. It's the kind of place where fellow borrowers will be thrilled when you put them on to Huxley after seeing them checking out Orwell. Sharon Public Library is a quaint and restorative athenaeum.

You can hear their entire conversations, all the time, and despite them working here, they seem to have no clue about their loud voices. Good luck focusing on anything while at the computer terminal as the librarians behind you are in full blast mode seemingly oblivious to the people around them trying to focus, very frustrating. Don't ask for change for the copy machine as the librarian at the front desk became extremely snarky about how the library is not supposed to make any change for anyone at anytime. I was seeking change for a $1 to make some copies, but live and learn... It's doesn't get any better at the front desk of the library where the workers sometimes walk around, being helpful, but again so incredibly loud that you can clearly hear them from the opposite end of the 1st floor. It's not only the librarians that are loud, it's the people in there and the library staff very rarely ask anyone to quiet down. The librarians will go above and beyond to be of assistance, but this library is best off being not visited especially if you hope for a quiet atmosphere.

Not everyone knows how to use a computer. Even in this day and age that's right. Place is great. It's great to spend a rainy afternoon and reading any kind of book you want. Books for sale. There are so many free activities to be found at this wonderful library. It is a very inviting…read moreplace with friendly staff. There is a large children's area full of books and toys. There is a teen area with seating and tables for studying. There are so many activities to be found here! Story times, books clubs, art history presentations, homeschool STEAM classes, movie matinees, board game groups, science shows, musicians, the list goes on. You can get free local museum passes, participate in the summer reading program, or just stop in the shop their bookstore. I am very impressed by this library!
