I promise this is one of the best middle eats type of restaurant Mediterranean type of restaurant style that I have been to the amount of food they give you will last you for sure or two days or you can share one bowl with a person that's so perfect like I love Middle East. They will get four stars for me every time until I am disappointed and they probably will never be able to disappoint me. I know that there are several different locations. I can't recall the exact one, but I truly do believe deep down in my heart that it was the brand new Middle East location in Detroit on the west side so when you get a chance, stop in there and get a bowl, get a wrap grab a juice and let me know how you guys like it. There is nothing extraordinary about the bowl I got. On par with any other "bowl" you'd get from any other restaurant. I will say that the portions are generous. Two people could easily eat from one bowl, or at least two meals for one person. So no complaints there. The only one I do have is that I did have to devein few of my shrimp before eating. read more

I love the Warren location and was happy to see one open in Detroit. I was a bit skeptical, because sometimes when businesses expand, the food is not consistent amongst locations. This place delivered on quality and quantity. The food is fresh and they don't skimp. I ordered online for pickup which was convenient and easy. It said ten minutes. I got there about 15 minutes later and it was ready and waiting. I got the trifecta bowl which comes with huge grilled shrimp, seasoned chicken and beef. I always get spicy dillio sauce (it's not actually spicy, but it has a great flavor) and extra garlic sauce. My mom got a Cesar salad which was fresh and huge. I will definitely be back! read more

We always get Rock City Grill's Chicken Shawarma Bowls for lunch when we order Door Dash! It's light, tasty and fulfilling. The bowls come with chicken , yellow rice, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, hummus, Dillio, and Garlic Sauce . This is delicious and they give you a nice portion. Our food arrived in a timely fashion. I was reluctant to try this place since I'm like allergic to or dislike most the ingredients that come with everything. I figured by the time I'm upcharged for all the stuff I do want that I really couldn't be getting much value out of it. Boy was I wrong. This is like the good days of Chipotle when I can still squeeze 2 meals out of an entree. Did they change their name four times in the past five years? Yes.. Do their loaded shwarma fries slap so hard that I have to get brain scanned every time I eat here? YES!!!!!!!!! The servers are really chill and upbeat, always asking how the food is and how they can improve. I never have any feedback because its always 10/10. Excellent little Shwarma place. I've gotten delivery from them twice. The chicken Shwarma bowl is great with the yellow rice, hummus, and their delicious sauce. There's also some lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onion in there with big, juicy hunks of chicken. Oh, and it's huge, can definitely get a meal and some leftovers out of that serving. My only wish is that it would come with a pita on the side. There's no way to order a pita on the Uber Eats app... Just looked and from DoorDash you can order a pita for a dollar and drinks and smoothies! Dang. And they have Dr. Pepper. I totally missed out. So if you order delivery, do DoorDash, not UE. I also ordered the burger. It's good. A little charred and raw in the middle and the fries are not my fave but a couple bites satisfied that craving. And I got the chicken Shwarma too. Cause I'm trying to figure out my favorite things here. I think the Mediterranean Shwarma is actually better, it has more stuff on it. When I first heard of Rock City, I was a bit skeptical because most places that sell some of everything tend to fall flat when it comes to most of their food. I thought that this would be no different. However, I can admit when I'm wrong, and indeed I was. This place resides in my old neighborhood, but somehow the weekly paper with its ad found its way out to where I live. I didn't think much of it when I first saw it several months ago. Matter of fact, it more so promotes itself as a bakery. Anyway, I saw that they also specializes in Middle Eastern food, something I'm a huge fan of. I've finally ordered from there and I was amazed at how quick our meals were ready and prepared. I ended up ordering the Chicken Shawarma Bowl. It's like the burrito bowls at Qdoba and Chipotle, but with chicken shawarma ingredients. I must say that it blew me away. I thought the rice would take away from it, but it actually made it even better. It was layered with a nice amount of garlic and some hummus. The chicken was nice and tender. It had a good taste, therefore I didn't have to result to using salt or pepper. They also give you plenty in the bowl. I was very satisfied with my meal except for the fact that I've finished it quickly. The customer service there is very laid back. The gentleman who gave me my order was very nice and talkative. He even gave me a shawarma card in which anytime we order a shawarma or shawarma bowl, we receive a punch in our card. By the time we get to the 6th shawarma, we'll earn a free one. That's good business. Of course other restaurants have that kind of deal, but this place is new and as far as I know, it's not even a franchise yet. Anyway, it's a good loyalty program.
