Parking is always a concern downtown. The Pearl provides free parking in the large lot west of the facility. There are several other parking garages in the area if you prefer. The team was very welcoming and glad to have us as their guests. Booking a reservation was easy on line. On this occasion we went to a free program. They seem to have a free program about every three months for those looking for things to do on a budget. The performance area seats about 400-500 people in padded chairs. The chairs are all on the same flat level. The stage is nicely elevated so viewing isn't a problem. I found the chairs to be thin on padding and somewhat uncomfortable for a 90 minute performance. The lighting is well done. The acoustics are superb as well.

Since the civic theatre has been out of commission due to renovations I know that the ballet company has been doing shows in different venues. I do not feel comfortable leaving a bad review for the ballet on Pearl Street Arts Center since I do not think they are responsible, so will be doing a separate review of the ballet. I've had no problems with my home since I purchased it, so I guess that's a good thing. The reason they get a low score is because of the things we caught that he was wrong about. He said there were no vents on the 2nd floor for heating and cooling. He also said there were no handrails on either set of stairways. After he left my realtor and I walked through and there are vents in every room on the 2nd floor and hand rails on the stairways. If that's the worst he missed, I'm thankful. So far, my house hasn't burned down or flooded, so I feel lucky.
