Excellent service on a Friday afternoon! I stopped by with what I thought was an exhaust problem, and turned out to be a front hub assembly that needed to be replaced. Chris the mechanic did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and was able to quickly get the part and get me back on the road within an hour and a half on a Friday afternoon. This location might be the most criminal repair shop I've ever dealt with. I brought my vehicle in due to concerns I had over engine performance and critical engine warning indicators displayed on my dash. After assessing the issue, their technician advised that I have the Turbo Charger Assembly and catalytic converter replaced, totally over $5,000 in repair costs. Upon completion of these repairs, I then received a call that my engine was not displaying an audible internal knocking sound which will require full engine replacement. A problem that DID NOT exist prior to my vehicle entering their facility. The shop has refused to claim any responsibility for causing this newly discovered issue, and refused to release my vehicle without paying them for the repairs they advised me on. So here I am, waiting for a tow truck to take my car home. $5,000 later and I have a worthless vehicle on my hands. I'll be pursuing legal recourse on this matter, but I wanted to make sure someone else doesn't fall victim to these crooks. read more

Very friendly and willing to help. Fair pricing. Was going to Valvoline to get my oil change done and they charged $125 for a synthetic oil change, Midas did the same thing and charged me half that. Even caught an issue with my radiator that I brushed off as a glitch. I will definitely will be going back for any auto repairs I might need. read more

I am new to the area and have been trying places for an oil change. I drive so often that i've already needed 2 and only been here since April. I learned my lesson about not rotating my tires on my car so I try and do it every time i get my oil changed. I have a GMC Terrain so my car takes a synthetic blend oil which isn't really cheap. A competitor that usually does tires ( hint hint) is where i normally go. This time, they had a wait as the holiday was that weekend so i needed to find a plan B. The staff was super nice. The White German Shep. There was a nice touch. She doesn't bother you at all. The staff was kind, the price was right and for the oil change and tire rotation, you cannot beat it. Just left this Midas a bit ago and am very pleased. John was my primary contact there and he was excellent. He kept me informed the entire time. They worked quite a bit past what I initially asked them to fix to try and solve a problem. They never stopped working but were very conscious of my schedule for today going so far as to schedule a time I could come back at no cost to me if they could not find they issue. Made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Always a competitive price. Asked Midas to diagnose the Check Engine light, that another shop had done without success. Replaced cam position sensor, and again a competitive price. During the process, the manager and mechanic showed me a broken plastic cover from a previous shop and fixed it, too. I'm sorry that the other person had a bad experience at Midas on Dixie, but I have been bringing my cars here for years and I love the place. Besides the comfortable waiting area including cookies (they are phenomenal btw), beverages, television, magazines, ..., I really like the customer service. The gentleman who manages the counter is friendly and seems to be very knowledgable. He does a great job explaining any issues to me my car has, and the repair is fast. Even if I only come for little things like an oil change, they will look over my entire car (for free!!) and inform me about any problems. Best thing, they are honest! If my car needs to get work done but it could wait a few more weeks/ months, they will tell me, instead of simply adding on services I might not need (right away). I went there because I had a bolt in my tire. After 3 long hrs of waiting (ridiculous) they told me it can't be plugged due to location, which I understand. I told them I'd purchase a tire but they insisted on selling me two and would not sell me only one. Gave me some BS liability excuse. I'm taking the liability not them. Refused to sell me just one so I told them to forget it and took my business elsewhere. The new place replaced just the one tire and it was $100 less than Midas was going to charge me. They call them Midas for a reason (King Midas) everything turns to gold and them getting rich, ripping off their customers! Would not recommend them, take your business elsewhere and save your time and money! read more

I cannot believe some of the negative reviews. This is the only place I will ever use now when I need and oil change or any repairs. I never feel ripped off and have often been surprised when they tell me things are free. Very shady business being run! I used to take my cars here and spent a lot of money but today they tried to rip me off! I took a Ford Escape in to have the alternator replaced early this morning. This is a very difficult job on this car. After half the day wasted they call and tell me the alternator is fine. I told them that I don't think that is right and they immediately tell me they can find out what's wrong for $80 a hour and it could be 100 different things but 100% IT IS NOT THE ALTERNATOR. They wanted to rip me off or didn't feel like doing the job because it was so difficult. So I go pick it up and drive it to Morris and Sons on Sashabaw (specialize in rebuilding alternators) to see if they could test it. Pete from Morris and Sons hooks the load test up to the battery and within 5 seconds told me the Alternator is bad for sure!! He said Midas didn't leave the load test on long enough. If they did you could clearly see the volts start to drop. Right in front of us it started to drop from 13.2 down to 12.6 in just a couple minutes. The load test from Midas said it was 14.1. He said you can clearly tell the car is running off just the battery because it should be up over 14 and not dropping like it is. I even told Brian at Midas this and he just acted like he doesn't even care. I will never take another car there and I wonder how many people they have ripped off like this! $80 a hour to tell me what's wrong and it would have been the alternator all along. Do not Trust this Midas in Waterford!!! read more

I had a very good experience at this Midas. The store and waiting area is very clean and kept up. The manager (I think his name was Brian?) was very friendly and knowledgeable and the service was timely. I originally went in for new tires on my Saturn and they took an extra look around the entire vehicle free of charge and let me know that my brakes were about to go.
