I went in yesterday for an oil change and it went well, but every time I go in there, I feel like they give me a laundry list of things that I need to get done without ever telling me what the priority is. I also can't stand their invoices, I feel like they're impossible to read. I accidentally agreed to have them change my gas cap because it was rusty I guess, and since I signed the invoice, I approved of it. My own fault but at the same time I wish they were a little bit more clear on explaining what's on the invoice. I went in for an oil change. I got the appointment quickly enough. They greeted me when I got there, and took my car in promptly. So far, great, right? Then they texted me "the list". I've come to expect the typical cabin air filter b.s., but this was over $2k in extras. Spark plugs, that according to the maintenance schedule for my car, are not due for another 20k miles! Tires that are so bad they wouldn't rotate them (even though I still paid for it). Funny the tires were looked at last time I had the oil changed, and they weren't in a panic over them. I won't go back here and I won't recommend them. If/when I need tires, I want to have a discussion about what tires. Don't try to scare me into new tires. Don't try to upsell me for "scheduled maintenance" that isn't due for 20k miles! Yes, I am touchy. I am an older female, and as such I am ASSUMED to be stupid when it comes to my car. My tire pressure light was on so I stopped at Midas Roseville last night at 6:15 - they close at 6:00. I walked in, apologized knowing they were closed and asked if anyone could check the pressure in my tires. The kind gentleman behind the counter didn't hesitate and asked one of his techs. All I heard was "Sure no problem". Not only did he check all tires but proceeded to tell me how tires are sensitive to the cold and was so pleasant. The rating would be lower, but there have been one or two times in the past that I felt I got a good value and was treated respectfully etc. On the other hand, I cannot understand what happened regarding my brakes which were worked on in OCT 2022 and in FEB 2023. OCT '22: Control arms were replaced, front pads were replaced. -- Actually... the control arms were replaced for a good price. FEB '23: Rear shocks replaced, rear brakes replaced (pads & rotors). Total cost for both visits undoubtedly exceeded $2000. For the 2nd (FEB) visit I was at a nearby restaurant for several hours and never got a call about status of car. So, I walked back to Midas and was told about shocks and brakes. And that it would another hour or so to finish. So, I went for an hour walk. Finally I went back again, and was REALLY surprised after picking up the car when: 1) The guy at the register joked about the expense. 2) After braking on the highway the car started SHAKING. After just spending so much money I bit the bullet and lived with the shaking until my next oil change. Finally, I got the oil changed and the brake situation checked out at a DIFFERENT automobile service place. They fixed the brake situation (another $900 or so). And, the car is NOW braking like new. I went to this Midas about a year ago for something I don't even remember what it was for. What I did remember was that Dan was very nice, helpful and made me feel comfortable. I have since gone back twice this year and everyone there has always been incredibly kind and informative, and I am always happy with their work. I got my car in here quick one day to fix my breaks and the employee was very kind. Their service was relatively quick and thorough. The paperwork they give back is very nice and organized. Their waiting room is decent and there's plenty of big windows to people watch as you wait for your vehicle, or you can walk to a nearby store! Nice location and kind staff. read more

I go to them for all my car problems and maintenance. They're always super nice and will explain things I don't understand. The service also is done on a timely manner. Usually I make appointments, but on one instance my tire blew out. They saw me right away and I was able to pick my car up the same day. Also, since I purchased my tires from them and it was still under warranty, I didn't have to buy a new tire. The really stressful situation turned out alright and wasn't expensive. read more

This is my spot where I get my oil change done in the cities. I was a bit hesitant based on the previous Yelp review but I had a decent and satisfying experience. You HAVE to make an appointment as they get booked pretty quick. So no drop in appointments unless you get lucky. Which I have not taken that risk. For the passed two times, they have provide good customer service It is nice that there is a super target in the same, so you can do a bit of shopping while waiting. If you are not in the mood for target then you can walk across the street and go to the Har Mar Mall. Point is you won't be bored. When I do my oil change, I appreciate​ the customer service that given to me. When they do a oil change, they have given me a report of my car. I always check the website to see if there is a coupon for the oil change which THERE IS! So it make oil changes/daily maintenance affordable. I like coming here, so check it. read more

I have been using this Midas for my oil change and regular maintenance for years. I have an 13-year-old car and it starts to have some issues. Midas @ Roseville has been honest on their recommendations - they do not push you to do anything that is not urgent; and moreover, sometimes they also recommend me to delay some maintenance tasks so that they can be combined and I can save a lot of money from the shared labor! This place was incredible. After stopping in at 2 different shops, I was losing all hope. I brought my car in because the plastic shields underneath my car were hanging loose due to a few clips missing. Being a college student, away from home, and with only an hour to spare before I had to go to work, this shop changed my life. Although they were already booked up for the day and had limited hands, they took my keys and fixed my car within ten minutes. Despite the crappy day I was already experiencing, this shop drastically changed that. I have never experienced anything like this at any other auto shop. They were kind, loving and forever will be my mechanic shop whenever I am in need of service. They take care of their customers, and they do it well. I brought in my car that was blowing hot from one side, cold from the other. I paid them $50 for the wrong answer. they said I needed a new heater core. It only needed to be flushed. After they figured out their screw up, they put on a $140 dollar motor mount that cost, at most $40, adding in $150 labor for a 5 minute job I could have done myself. And I didn't approve this for obvious reasons but they did it anyway. The also put on a $30 dollar radiator cap that should have cost $10. Then they had the ball to tell me they saved me money. $50 in parts, in at most, one hour of work, $600. Crooked incompetent people with crooked business practices read more

Frequently used this Midas for regular services plus repairs. Oil changes were easily scheduled and completed quickly. Repairs were MUCH less than any dealer and solved the problem (A/C, suspension). Willing to tell me to go elsewhere when it would be less (doorlock not working: suggested installing remote unlock for $200 instead of more for parts + labor). P.S. This is where I go for all my car repair needs. They are honest, tell me what is necessary to keep the car running well as well as what could be done to keep it in tip top shape. In other words, they don't try to sell me things I don't need. In fact they will tell me where I can safely cut corners to save money if needed. I usually make appointments, and that is preferred, but they will also try to work me in, in emergencies too. They are clear about what needs to be done. They will try to hurry if I need to wait around, or will give me a ride elsewhere. They are so accommodating. As a parent I have tried to teach my children about caring for their cars, and hear that both my son and daughters are treated well and with respect. As a result, I have referred many people here and I have never heard from a referred friend about disappointing service. I highly recommend the Roseville MN Midas. I thought they were helpful. I originally thought I needed to get a fluid exchange and they said I didn't need to do it yet. They could have been dishonest. You need to just be mindful of what they might recommend. They are obviously going to charge you a bit more if you need a part replacement, but learn how to do it yourself and you won't run into feeling "ripped off". My mother in law went into this Midas a couple weeks ago. They told her that she needed to get her serpentine belt, brake pads, and an AC hose replaced. All three of which are really easy fixes but they wanted to charge her over $3000!!! She called me to do the repairs for her so on my way over i picked up the belt and pads not knowing which hose needed the repair. But once i got to her house and started to work on her issues things started to not add up.. Her belt looked fine but my 1st thought was oh well honest mistake so i put the new one in anyways . Then i started working on the brakes.. this is where i really became upset with this company! On all 4 of her brake pads she had over 75% of her break pad left! They we definitely trying to take advantage of her $3000 for those three simple repairs is ridiculous to begin with, but she didn't even need to do any of them! Midas is a dishonest place looking to make a quick buck at the expense of uneducated people trying to pray off the weak. I am ashamed in midas and will tell everyone i know about their dishonest activity. read more

I came to the shop with the spare tire on my car and thought I would need to buy a brand new tire. Dan and the crew were able to quickly evaluate my case and informed me they could fix the old tire at no cost due to a special that day. The service manager at the front had very little customer service skills. He seemed very grumpy and when I was trying to describe to him the problem with my car and the previous things that had been done on it he did not seem to write down a lot of detail or take me seriously. Even though I am a young woman, but I am smart and can understand what is going on with my car. Also I found it to be a major rip off that just an inspection costs $60 and I had to pay an additional about $50 for a diagnosis. I believe the point of having an inspection is to get a diagnosis so it should not cost extra. I would not recommend going here for any major work on your car. read more

On Friday my family van broke down with a broken serpantine belt. I was 30 miles from home in Lake Elmo and I didnt know who to call to get it repaired. I thought about my brother who goes to Seth Johnson and his team at Roseville Midas for the past 12 years for his auto repairs and maintenance. I called him and got Seth's phone number. I called Seth and explained what happened with the belt and told Seth I would get AAA to tow it to Midas in Roseville. On Saturday Seth looked at the van and called me with the estimate of the repair.I said go ahead. Seth and his team got the repair done on time and exactly on estimate cost. I thought this was why my brother continues to bring his cars to Seth for the past 12 years. It is difficult to find and a honest auto repair shop in today's world. I knew I found a honest auto repair shop at Seths Midas in Roseville. Seth and his team went above and beyond to correct my problems. Seth and his team took the extra steps to make sure it was repaired correctly. Seth made me a customer for life.
