Don't ever bring your car here. I took it in out of necessity, because the were closer than my normal place, Jordan's auto repair. They addressed the original problem and than all of a sudden say some kind of oil leak or something. Wanted to charge me an extra $500 to fix the oil problem. I said no thanks, it's not an emergency I'll have my guys at Jordan's look at it. Guess what, theirs no oil leaking and nothing wrong with my car. Went in for an oil change which i was told includes tire rotation. Was not told about coupons. They did not rotate my tires. They did not affix an oil change sticker. Kept calling me "young lady" which I found patronizing and disrespectful. I am proud of my age and every wrinkle and gray hair. I don't know what else they did not do but I suspect there was more. They were laser focused on finding $1300 worth of repairs I supposedly need asap. I intend to get a second opinion and will not go back to Midas. I do NOT trust them. read more

I made an appointment (12pm) for rear brake pads and rotors and made it VERY CLEAR I wsnted to be out at 1:30pm so I can make it to work at 2pm. As I write this it is now 3:03pm and my car STILL isn't finished. It SHOULD NOT take 3 hours for a brake service, at 1:00 guys comes out to tell me about the inspection (upsell) but ALL I NEEDED WAS THE REAR PADS AND ROTORS!!! When I asked if my car was done yet I was told "Oh they brought us the wrong sized pads so we're waiting for them to bring the right ones." DO NOT COME HERE FOLKS!!! I got a flat tire close to closing time, by the time my car was towed to Midas in Medina. The owner went above and beyond to stay, after hours, to replace both of my rear tires himself. Called last minute to bring a car in for an oil change no issues. Both the service manager and mechanic were extremely friendly. After a short few minutes of discussing what I wanted done I handed them the keys and they got to work within minutes. Whole thing from the time I walked in the door until I pulled out to head home was no more than 45 minutes. Very reasonable. I've seen some other reviews saying the location was trying to "up charge" or talk them into things not needed. I found this not to be the case. I'm tired of getting strung along. I guess "free" is now a relative term. As a monthly card holder, I anticipated a free oil change. I called. Made an appointment, and showed up 5 minutes early. They confirmed that it would take an hour, just for a simple oil change. There was a farmers market at the square so I walked down. 40 minutes later I get a call. Your car requires full synthetic. Ok so put it in. We'll call you when it's ready. I walked in AN HOUR LATER. And it STILL WASN'T done. It took TWO hours to do an oil change. The manager said "oh he shouldn't have told you that, or left to go get tires without it being finished. What? Fine. Oh by the way. I was also charged almost $40 for that "free" oil change. I took my car in for two new tires and an alignment on a Saturday. They did both but I noticed on Monday that one of my hubcaps was missing. I called to see if they forgot to put it back on. The manager, Tom, said he couldn't find it and there was nothing he could do. I can't swear if the hubcap was on when I left but even if it was that means they didn't install it properly. Whatever the case I won't go there ever again because of shoddy work and bad customer support. Also, be prepared for the upsell after they look at your car. read more

Saturday My friend brought a Car from Liberty Ford in Brunswick, OH as a used car well their was so many things wrong with it that the dealership did not tell him about and long story short after getting prices and all As we were still in the parking lot going over the paper work when Mike and your District manager return to talk to my friend to see what was wrong with the car one of the sweetest reliable staff that went out of their way to help my friend Justin get his car like new again. Even thought in the state of OHIO its illegal for any dealer or owner to see a vehicle to someone that has failed the E-check and has problems. Thanks to the staff at Midas and after what i saw and how they helped my friend Justin i will deffently recommend and refer midas to those who are needing great work done. After getting ripped off at the Medina Midas I did email their corporate office to share my concerns. To their credit someone from there did call me the following day. They wanted me to return to Midas for a complimentary oil change which I politely declined as I would not trust them to check the air pressure in my tires. Instead I requested a full refund, and the person from Midas corporate agreed to this saying "I will take care of this for you". Well it's now over a month later and I have received NOTHING. I guess they figure why spend money on a lost customer. So not only are the Midas technicians complete morons, their corporate representative is a liar as well. BE WARNED! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE AT ALL COSTS!!! Unprofessional Unqualified and Dishonest staff!! I will preface this by saying i know about cars, and usually do all my own work, but for the cost of a $19.99 oil change i figured what the heck. While the car was up one of the employees recommended a transmission flush. I was planning to take it to the dealer but at $99 i figured, whats the worst that can happen?? I should have followed my first instinct to tell them to take my car down when i saw the first guy spend almost 5 minutes looking for the transmission dipstick. Well my car has no transmission dipstick!!! That was the first bad sign..SO he called another guy over who eventually figured out there was no dipstick.. So he pulled the drain plug and drained all the fluid out of the transmission pan...then proceeded to just pump some new fluid back into the pan. This only replaces about 5-6 quarts of the 12 qt capacity!! (the proper way is to hook up the flushing machine to the transmission lines going to the radiator and pumping new fluid thru the whole system while draining the old)..Then the guy proceeded to crank his torque wrench on the transmission pan bolt so hard he ended up breaking the bolt! (this is a 12ft lb bolt that requires next to no force to tighten to spec) I wasn't able to actually see the bolt break from my view, but i could tell by the way the two guys working on my car were yelling at each other while working underneath it that something was not right..So he proceeded to put the broken end of the bolt back in leaving only one thread actually holding the bolt in. (This would have fallen right out within miles of driving it i'm sure)..I asked to come out to the shop and asked them "did everything go ok, did you do that right?" they of course lied straight to my face and assured me that yes everything is fine! I knew this was not the case, so i drove the mile home and immediately checked the work they had done. I was able to take the bolt out with merely my FINGER! of course it wasn't even a whole bolt, it was the end of it with one thread in tact....the other half was stuck in the transmission pan! So i went back there and told them i am not happy with the work and would just like them to make it right by refunding me my $99 for the botched flush (even though it cost me more then that to even remedy what they had done). The manager was nice at first like he was almost considering a refund..then he called the district manager..he came back and refused a refund (His quote was "I'm not giving you back $99"...like $99 is going to make or break this shitty ass company.) He told me I can tow it back up here and that can redo it... NOW WHY would i let you INCOMPETENT IDIOTS touch my car after you already screwed it up so bad the first time??..(they offer this knowing that no one will come back to let them redo the work after the messed up so bad). I told him i'm not letting them touch my car again and just want the refund..he then got very confrontational with me. Needless to say, you cannot trust the people here...they do bad work..and try to hide mistakes that they make......they dont honor their work...they could have left me high and dry if that bolt would have fallen out and smoked my entire transmission. I feel bad for anyone not educated about motor vehicles that come here and get horrible quality work done...the number of bad reviews on here should be enough to tell you DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY WORK...they are not competent enough for even a oil change. I filed a corporate complaint, but they have yet to call me back..i'm sure they never will and nothing will come of it. read more

One employee is smoking a cigarette & playing with his phone, one is sweeping the floor, and the manager is sitting at his computer looking bored.
