I wouldn't go anywhere except to these guys. Helped me out a ton, saved me a ton of money, and saved my car's ass when Ford wouldn't.

I took my Nissan Frontier truck on 12/14/2023 for an inspection sticker and waited for it to get finished. I brought it home and used it. Until March 2nd 2024, when I opened the hood to realize the engine dust cover was missing. The only place that had touched the vehicle was this shop. I haven't heard a word from Midas. They never attempted to contact me. They have all my contact information in their computer. So I assume they do not intend to contact me to let me know that they forgot to put the dust cover back on my vehicle. Zero stars read more

Booked an appointment for a state inspection on a Tuesday for a Friday 11am appointment and got an email confirming this was good. Got here Friday and was told they did not have time to do the work and that they don't book appointments only first come first served. Very unprofessional to not email back or call me back to say this when I specifically mentioned I wanted a state inspection. read more

I was stranded in Harrisonburg with car trouble after bringing my daughter back to JMU. It was a Monday holiday and a snow day so I had to wait until the morning. When I arrived to Midas a few minutes before they even opened, they graciously asked how they could help me. The guys were nice, fast and efficient and had two new tires on my car and ready to drive back to Richmond in a little over an hour. I highly recommend this store to everyone in the area! read more

I took my 1987 Honda accord that my grandfather had given me and I went and got a inspection. the owner of the shop tried to take my lug covers off with a vice grip instead of a alien key. then didn't know what lug centric wheels are after he put on my wheels I left he left lug nuts loose on both wheels ik I would never let him touch my car again read more

I came in less than an hour before closing with a left brake light out on a BMW, the man at the front saw how stressed I was because I have a trip in the morning and he was so quick to just walk outside and help me with what I needed. He fixed my brake light in less than 30 minutes and at a super affordable price! Such sweet people, and such good service !!! read more

This place is a joke. Took my vehicle in for an inspection. It failed for a few things. I asked the guy up front why 2 things had failed since ive taken the vehicle there since i bought it and they never failed ot for those reasons untill now and got no answer. Also i had asked for part numbers and thought he wrothe them down and set them in the vehicle before i left but didn't and when i called into ask he said he didnt have any notes but had notes of what all was wrong. Then said he was gonna charge me to see what parts were bad. I will never take anything there again. And i advise everyone else to do the same thing read more

While they are friendly and competent they are so backed up that you had better be able to leave your vehicle for service. I arrived before opening this morning for a state inspection. I waited over an hour and they still had not pulled my vehicle into the bay. I left and made an appointment with a dealership. I had come to Midas for convenience but they are no longer convenient. read more

They did not change my oil filter during my last oil change. They made my wife buy new wiper blades so she could pass an inspection. The wipers were 60 days old. Driving to FL the driver's side wiper flew off. Beware. read more

Not a bad for a deal on an oil change, but don't go in if you aren't ready to say no to an up sale when they've got your car half apart on the lift. They quoted me a cheaper part, got my car half way open, then bumped the cost up a hundred dollars when they realized they had the wrong part. Would have been nice to see what other places would have charged. Just tell them you don't have time for the extra work today and see what Layman's wants. read more

Midas Experts should stop repairing people's vehicles. The mechanic fried my car with engine oil. Chef Midas, You can taste my car. I can't understand how expert could forgot tightening the oil cap? Thanks for washing my engine with extra virgin engine oil. It's so shiny because mechanic washed my car with engine oil. After changing engine oil, I was going back to home, the car suddenly started burning oil and started making white smokes, it smells like burning plastic. Mechanic tried cleaning the engine room, but that's all what they do, no more or less. This is probably the worst mechanics in the Earth. read more

I took my car to the Harrisonburg MIdas because I could not get an appointment at a time that suited me at the Elkton dealer who told me I had to replace the front brakes ASAP. While I had a couple of minor repairs, I was told at Midas that my brakes wouldn't need to be replaced for quite some time. Midas in Harrisonburg has absolutely no regard for customer service, specifically their store manager, Leon. The morning after taking my car in for routine maintenance, I had a flat tire. I also noticed that the mechanics had left all the air valve caps off - an obvious sign of negligence. Due to the likelihood that this was not a random coincidence, I called Midas to discuss the situation. As soon as I began to explain the problem and my dissatisfaction, Leon immediately became defensive, blaming the flat on me, talking over me, laughing at my accusations, and yelling at me. I have never been spoken to in such a demeaning, condescending, nasty way. He also told me that the owner was out of the country which I later found out to be a blatant lie. In the end, I took my tire back and sure enough, the flat was caused by their negligence. Please do not give your time or money to these guys. Leon may come off as a nice guy, but the second you question their service, he will treat you like a piece of trash. I will never even consider doing business with another Midas again, thanks to Leon. read more

Have received consistently good service from this shop, as well as them going above and beyond when I blew out a tire a few blocks from their shop and couldn't get the spare out...they personally drove out, jacked the car up and replaced the tire on the spot. read more

Have used Midas for numerous vehicles/services over the years. Recently took an older minivan in for some trouble shooting, and after several hundred dollars worth of replacement parts/repairs, it left with the same issue we limped it in with. Turned out the van needed a complete transmission rebuild, and Midas took the fall for their mis-diagnosis by refunding us the entire cost of the parts and labor for their work. It's rare these days to find an honest mechanic, and I really appreciate working with another human being who realizes that I'm not going to be too happy to drop several hundred dollars on a part for a bad transmission. That kind of service and honesty is what has kept me bringing my vehicles back time and again for routine maintenance work, and it's nice to go to a place that remembers you when you've given them that kind of repeat business. Will continue to be a regular customer as long as the staff and management continue to provide the kind of service I have come to expect. read more

My son goes to school in Harrisonburg and I was referred to Midas from a friend and after dealing with Gary, it was an utter satisfaction. He personally took all of my sons issues as if they were his own and handled them quickly and very affordable. I have no worries being miles away as long as Gary is there. Well to make a.long story short we took our suv to have the 4 wheel drive checked,(the serviceman rode in the vehicle with my husband to see what it was doing) and to have the gear cable changed.needless to say when I needed 4 wheel drive..it didnt.work..so then the gear shift stopped moving again..back to midas we go.they said they had no order to check the 4.whe drive but they did put a cable in.(or so they say).and along with the cable I got a long dent scraped down to the metal from the pole they kept banging the door on.they told us to take it to michaelsbodyshop and go to hertz for car rental that gary bausserman would take care of it. We dropped the car at michaels,called hertz to pick us up.got to the office and he wanted a credit card to put a hold on.i dont have one that I can use.so my husband calls gary..he tells us to walk....im on disability for back pain and he.wants me to walk where I need to go for 3 days...yea right..well we take.him to court and he says he wont pay rental car.so I said I was going to have to get a lawyer, when I said that, he said if I waste anymore of his time he will contest everything.so guess I will see you in court mr.bausserman..these people are not to be trustef to fix your vehicle and they are extremely rude.i wish I had checked the reviews first. read more
