Came here to replace brake pads and was told i needed to replace the rotors too. Settled on replacing just the rear and it took 4 hours to complete which seemed really off to me. I work nightshift so once i was done i had go get ready and go straight back to work. I had to go out of town that following weekend and everything was fine until i was 30 mins away from my destination and i heard an awful grinding and clunking noise from my rear. It was so bad that i couldn't completely brake at the traffic light and had to slowly ease off the road before i got into an accident. Turns out, im missing a bolt on my passenger rear brakes because they used the wrong lube to put in the screws. On my drive, the bolt became loose and the caliper ended up dragging into my rim and carving out the middle. I let the owner know about this issue and he said to bring the car in but i informed him about how I wasn't able to drive car safely and asked what my options were and got no reply. Seriously just an awful experience and during the worst possible time of the year and gave me no options or guidance to help. Although ownership has changed several years ago, I still trust the people at this Midas location with the care of my cars. I find them to be business like but friendly. They do a good job for a fair price and always seem to be able to work me in on the few times it was a bit of an emergency. My breaks were squeaking terribly. I called around and got some quotes and ultimately decided to try Midas. Was a pretty good experience. The owner and receptionist were very kind. Had an appointment to have my breaks and struts replaced dropped my car four hours before my scheduled appointment. As I didn't hear an update I decided to stop by and check out on the progress. As I drove onto the parking lot I saw my car in the exact place that I had parked it. So I went inside asked the guy the guy hey I'm just here about my car? He's like we didn't get to it. Very nonchalant. So I asked are you getting it done later today? ( as they close at 6 pm). He replied no. Can you bring it back tomorrow? I replied no, I took the day off today so it could be fixed. I can't take tomorrow off either. I don't understand why they didn't call me and told me that they didn't have time to fix it? Why make appointments if you can't handle the work you have on your plate. I know some businesses are short staffed but why waste people's time. I would have gladly take it somewhere else if they would've been upfront. read more

I called ahead to ensure they could fit me in for a tire rotation and oil change. Upon entering, the older gentleman told me my oil change alone was $62. I laughed out loud and told him I have never paid that much money for an oil change in my Nissan versa. I said he is mistaken. He did not back down and told me that was indeed the price because my car takes synthetic oil. Which I know it does not. Since I could not get him to change his mind, I walked out the door. He let me leave. Five minutes later my husband called and complained. They apologized and said they were indeed incorrect. I tend to think they tried to screw me because I am a young woman. Either that, or that particular employee does not know much about oil changes. Either way, I will not return. I went to jiffy lube down the street and was treated with respect and given a great deal. For $52 total, they rotated my tires and change my oil. read more

The flag out front says Brake Service. Brakes? Sort of. Service? Not at all. I had the brakes on my wife's van fully serviced in July of 2010. In December 2010 we had to take them back in for service. Today, June 2011, we took them back in for the same service. The manager was not sympathetic at all to our frustration with having to bring our vehicle in for service every six months. He said my complaint was "smart alec" and that he didn't have to listen to my "crap." He in no way, shape or form offered to make the work right. I gave him several opportunities to stand behind the work his shop had already done twice, and all he woud offer was to "look at it." We left and took my wife's van to the Midas in North Richland Hills (6745 Rufe Snow Blvd.) and received a kind reception. The staff there offered to waive the labor charge since it had been less than a year since the service, and only charged us for the parts. They also avoided making personal insults. read more

Read lots of good reviews of Midas so I took my car for a oil change and was happy to see that they also rotate your tires. It was a slow start, computer was down and another person also had an appointment at the same time as me, but receptionist and all patrons were so nice and friendly. Finally got me in an hour or so later, even gave me a discount of 10.00. When I was about half way home my car started to jerk and sputter and smoke barely took off from a stop light. I got home thank God and called them. Was asked to bring it back, I was thinking it was the gas I had gotten so I put in gas additives, but I took it back anyway, still smoked and jerked a bit, turns out some reading had told them my car was a turbo and they put in too much oil. I had made the appt online so I told them exactly what my car is, not a turbo. They drained the excess oil it and took it for a drive. Needed my alternator replaced, got it back and my truck died again. Same situation. I had to pay the money to tow my truck back to them because they hooked it up wrong. It took them about 10 minutes to fix the problem the second time, but I had places to be so I got an Uber to take me to a meeting. A man came outside while I was getting in the Uber telling me I needed to stay. Why? I told him no, I had places to be and it was their fault I had to be there for a second day in a row so they can fix and I would be back. Do not go here people! read more

Had my exhaust done at this location and after they finished they said i had preexisting leaks when i know for a fact i didnt and imediatly after my service engine light came on for running lean because they broke my exhaust manifolds. In the process of replacing myself i now have mu engine out to rebuild because it was running so bad from them. read more

Used to come here all the time years ago. No idea why I ever quit. Took my car in for free brake check. Metal to metal. Early afternoon, they were able to put on new pads and rotors. I was taken into the service area, shown exactly the before and after and why they needed to replace these parts. Very professional, thorough and the work is wonderful. Great price also. i should have read the reviews before coming here. because what people are saying about this place is true. my car do not run had to have it towed because it was vandalized there. and the manager of that store is just as clueless as betsybug. they are liars and thieves. was told they could not do anything else of course you made my car go into limp mode......they take advantage of women. i even reached out to corporate i just knew this would get resolved but when the manager called he just lied said when they drove it they had no problems. mind you my car went to limp mode. there is no driving when it does that... they replaced my battery messed with my breaks...i told the manager i should sell it...he got quite and recommended me to another mechanic....haha big joke....im gonna open up a shop like this if they can pass as a auto shop so can i.....i want my car the same way as they received .........running....help!1111 read more
