I went through Canadian tire, and a few other local mechanics. Midas had the part I needed in stock and was able to fix it same day whereas other places needed to order parts and wouldent be done for another week. Midas was so helpful, as I got my diagnostic done at another location, they only charged for the repair and with no hidden fees. John and everyone that works there are so knowledgeable, helpful and want to help for the right reasons! Highly recommend coming here for future car repairs. read more

Had a small issue with a rattling coming from under my car. The attendant put my car on the hoist. All it was, was a loose bolt on the heat shield. They fixed the problem with a smile and no charge and have a nice day. Excellent customer service. Will definitely return when and if I need repairs done down the road. read more

I went to the Midas on Mapleview today to get my free oil change (with by the card THEY gave me, I purchased four, the next was supposed to be free). I was told "I'm sorry, we don't honour those cards anymore." WHAT NOW? I only gave one star because i cannot give Zero ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!! I am beyond disgusted with this facility and warn EVERYONE not to go there! My father passed away march 2016 and he took thier 2015 vehicle there for oil changes and was never FOOLED into purchasing more, it was always just an oil change. One my dad passed and it was my senior mother who has brain damage and trouble speaking began taking the vehicle there suddenly the cost went sky high!!! The first bill was almost $300 when all she went for was an oil change!!!! I was furious when i saw this but thought ok, whats done is done. I had a talk with her and felt that she understood that wont happen again. I am in the military and i had to go away. When i phoned my mom i asked what she was going to do the next day and she said that she was going for an oil change. I told her, nothing over and above and she agreed. When i spoke to her the next day she said it was almost $900!!!!!!!! I lost my mind!!!! when i got back i saw the bill and it was HORRENDOUS!!! her vehicle is 2 years old and has less then 30 000kms and the just drive around town, not a hard driver at all. Anytime i am with her i drive and i KNOW there was not a damn thing wrong with her vehicle. They scared her by telling her that her brakes were right down to the steel!!! COMPLETE BS!!!!!!! they changes her brakes and rotors!!!!! the car was making ZERO noises and felt NOTHING!!! PLUS why did they not machine the rotors????? well that wouldn't make them the cash!!! THEN, they balanced and rotated her tires....why???? on the report they never said a THING about balancing them they just did it and charged her AND rotating the tires should be free when the brakes are done!!! of course she needed filters and fuel injection fluid etc. ANYTHING TO TACK ON $$$$$$$ to take advantage of a clearly disabled senior!!!!! I took the vehicle to the dealership and they were just as disgusted as i am, there is NO WAY she needed ANY of this done!!!! I honestly question if they even did the work they charged her for. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think again before taking your vehicle here and pass the word to all seniors that they will take advantage of them. SHAME ON YOU MIDAS!!!!!!! read more

Crooked AF. There was an older couple being told they needed to spend 2300 in parts and service to safety the 1500.00 truck they bought of the original owner. I saw it, it was mint. They said they had to think about it and left. Thank god. My story. I made an appointment for 4:30pm and arrived at 4:15pm. This was to have my summer tires switched out. 2 on rims and 2 off needing to be put on my summer rims due to wear. They didn't get my car in until 5:15pm! Pissed. Then it cost 135.00!! Are you fucking kidding me?!?! 45 minutes work. I was in a bit of a pickle because it was that time of year and places were booking 2 weeks out. I now know why they had availability. Never go there! I don't know how these people sleep at night. Lesson learned. read more

Needed an oil change this Saturday and decided to go to Midas on Mapleview, in Barrie, they have an Express oil service. Talk about an outstanding customer experience, and this was auto service? This is what auto service should be like...WOW! Chris , the Manager, greeted me promptly(didn't even have to get out of the car), gave me the options for the different oil services they have and let ME decide! I left the car with them cause I had to get to an appointment, he did offer to do it while I waited in about 25 minutes(they were really busy). They called me to tell me the car was ready and I proceeded to the shop. Chris greeted me again and told me everything looked good and suggested I keep an eye on a few items but all was good and they were there for me if I had any questions. To top it off, they did a FREE alignment check and showed me the specs and talked to me about my tires and how it all worked together. Great Service and great value, I'll be back.
