I've never had a large chest. I was a B at my largest. I never considered this a bad thing. I am…read morean athlete and enjoyed not having to battle my boobs as part of my workout. I also thought that as I got older I wouldn't have to worry about sagging breasts. Well, after three kids in 4 1/2 years I discovered I was wrong. I nursed all three (about 4 years over a 6 year stretch) and worked very hard to lose all of my baby weight after the last was born. I lost the weight, got into some of the best physical shape of my life but lost what little curves I had. My boobs had become saggy. Saggy skin. How does that happen? You can work on your body to get your shape back, but how do you get boobs back? I wore bikinis and couldn't fill in the smallest top. Shirts were also a challenge. I didn't fill out the "darts" in shirts made for a woman's breasts. It was difficult. After I turned 38, my youngest was now 6, I decided it was time for me to reclaim my figure. I discussed my decision with my husband and kids. My husband wanted me to know that I didn't need to do it for him. He loved me for who I was and didn't care about the size of my chest. He said I wanted my kids to understand and accept my choice. Amazingly, they were very supportive. They were mostly worried about me looking drastically different. I assured them that wasn't my intention and began my search. I searched online for the best plastic surgeons in the St. Louis area. I live on the Illinois side of the river and wanted convenience as well as excellence. I found both with Dr. Timothy Bradley, a plastic surgeon located in Swansea, IL. Everyone at the facility was very friendly, professional, and supportive. The surgery and recovery were explained thoroughly. I was shown the different types of implants and was told the size my body could accommodate, which was a large C cup. As an athlete and a mother of 3, I didn't want a drastic change. I just wanted my chest. I chose implants that were a large B to a small C. Okay, so I went a little bigger than my God-given chest . I had breast augmentation surgery the middle of March. It was very simple and easy. I did need help to make it through the rest of the day - I was pretty much out of it. After that, the healing process began. I began walking for exercise a few days after the surgery (at a little easier pace) and was back to regular exercise within a month to 6 weeks (which included running, biking, swimming, and tennis). This was important to me because I love being active. The swelling went down in my chest slowly but surely over those couple of months. By summer, I was wearing, and filling out, a bikini top. I now filled out shirts that I already had and could find new clothes because I wasn't battling a non-existent chest. It's been almost 9 months since my breast augmentation surgery, and it's a decision I do not regret and don't think I ever will. My breasts look and feel natural (my husband agrees). My new breasts make me feel like a woman again. I have a figure. Thank you to Dr. Bradley and his excellent staff for giving me back my womanly figure.

I deeply regret choosing Dr. Timothy Bradley for my surgery…read more My experience was one of the most upsetting medical experiences I have ever had. During my procedure, I was told that my orbicularis muscle was accidentally burned, which led to complications that I continue to deal with. Instead of feeling supported, I felt abandoned. After surgery, my medication was mistakenly called into a pharmacy in another state. Despite making him aware of the mistake, it was never properly corrected by calling in a new prescription to the correct pharmacy when I needed it most. Rather than having my follow-up care handled professionally in the office, Dr. Bradley came to my home to remove my stitches. He arrived around 10:00 p.m., and I was extremely uncomfortable with the way the visit was handled. At one point, I was also told my stitches might need to remain in for another two weeks after they had already been in for approximately two weeks, something that caused me significant concern. When I later expressed how difficult this entire experience had been and requested that he at least consider a partial reimbursement for what I had endured, I was dismissed as a patient instead of having my concerns addressed. I have kept emails and other documentation regarding my care because I believe patients deserve honest information when making decisions about their surgeon. This post reflects my personal experience and opinions. Everyone's experience may be different, but I believe prospective patients should ask detailed questions, understand how complications are managed, and carefully consider their options before choosing a surgeon.

His bedside manner was inexcusable and the outcome of my surgery was horrific. I chose to incur the cost of having another surgeon remove the implants rather than allowing him to perform the procedure. Later I learned Dr. Hart failed to recognize I suffer from a congenital defect called pectus excavatum, as well as tubular constriction of my breasts which had affected the height of one of my breast folds. The latter was extremely obvious and should not have been missed. Now that I'm older and more educated on the subject, I'm able to see just how negligent Dr. Hart was. I'm writing this review all these years later in the hopes of saving other woman from suffering the same misfortune.

I am more than pleased with the entire process from consultation, to procedure, to follow-ups. Dr. Hart and his staff are awesome. Very straight forward and to the point. The office located inside of Mercy Hospital is nice; equipped with plenty of brochures and infomercials to get your mind wrapped around other nip tuck possibilities. Dr. Hart left no question unanswered. He made me feel more than comfortable when making my decision on what, how and when I wanted my procedure completed. I endorse Dr. Hart and when/if I decide to have another procedure, he'll be the chosen one. Thank me later.

Because they don't offer after-school slots for new patients (the latest they offer is 2:30 PM), I had to arrange classroom coverage to leave work early as a teacher, and pull my daughters out of school. After dealing with school delays, traffic, and difficult parking, we walked into the office at 2:40 PM for our 2:30 PM appointment. The receptionist was on the phone, and when she finally acknowledged us at 2:41pm, she rudely informed me that they would not see us because we were past their 10-minute grace period by one minute. We were literally one minute late with two young kids in tow. I understand the need to stay on schedule, but to turn away a new patient who waited over a month for an appointment--and who clearly rushed to get there--over sixty seconds is completely rigid and lacking in basic customer service. We will not be back and I recommend looking elsewhere if you want an office that values its patients' time and effort.
