Be very careful. I am not sure how this company has such high rating. We had them help on a project during a water mitigation. He was repairing a slab leak and I cannot believe there are licensed. He mounted the pipe to the cabinets that were being removed, and he knew this. He also left the pipe exposed and didn't even concrete anything properly. The work that was done is completely trash and they did not deserve to be paid. They took advantage of the homeowner who didn't know any better. The homeowner is going to pursue his money back and put in a complaint in regards to the work Johnathan provided. We confronted the owner Johnathan about his terrible work and he refused to take responsibility for his huge costly mistakes. CSLB will be hearing about him. read more

I should have held off on the 5 star review. I had a brand new water heater installed by them that ended up leaking through my walls and under my brand new floor in the kitchen. It wasn't connected properly. They paid for and replaced some of the flooring but did not complete the wall repairs. They also installed a new high flush toilet that didn't even last a month. I had another company replace it which cost me over $4000 on top of what I paid these guys. I'm not convinced that the water heater or toilet were new. In my opinion this company needs to do better in their workmanship and maybe they wouldn't have to keep re-doing jobs they've already done. read more

We had our main drain line replaced. They came one day to prepare to fix our drain line but the worker left said he would return and didn't. He left his equipment and broken canopy in our lawn for days. The entire repair became too expensive. He gave us an estimate and the final price was almost doubled the original estimate. While the repair happened the sprinkler system was broken by a the repair man and was never replaced. It would have been nice for them to accept responsibility and replace the broken sprinkler line but it cost us more money to replace the sprinkler system. read more

Our toilets wouldn't flush on a Saturday night after plunging and snaking them. I searched for plumbers on Yelp and started calling each one of them. Some didn't answer or return my voicemails and others were too busy to come out that night. Jonathan answered my call and was able to swing by to take a look. Long story short, our sewer line was rooted out and he was able to unclog the toilets so that we could still use them, but we had to also get our old (terracotta) sewer line replaced. The whole project is finally finished and my husband and I are very happy with the job Jonathan did. He was professional, reasonably priced, and explained everything that needed to be done before doing anything and made sure we understood what he was doing and why. My husband and I are both pretty handy, but trenching our yard to replace the sewer line is outside of our abilities so we were happy to get a plumber who wanted to help us without taking advantage of us or overcharging us. Hopefully we don't have any major plumbing problems like this one again, but we know we have a great resource who will help us if we need it. read more

Save yourself don't use them. If I can put a zero rating I would. After we paid them, they didn't finish the job and left the work area a mess and dirty. We hired them because our main water line was leaking. And that was the only job we needed them to do. They said they can fix our sprinkler system which we haven't really used since we just move into our house for a little cost they said "so that we can start using it". So we agreed and my husband paid for the service already. Now they said they need to come back because they need to fabricate a part. And didn't come back after 2 weeks. And then they just show up to our door without any kind of notice that they're coming when we are just about to leave to go for an important appointment. So we had to reschedule for the next week. Guess what? It took them 2 weeks before they came back. So I thought they were gonna finish the job. And they said they had to run to Home Depot for a part. They didn't come back. A lot of text messages and calls were made in between the process. This is just very unprofessional. They don't respond well. We can't keep chasing them forever. And up until now the job is not yet done. Don't use this company!!! Update: Since I posted this review they reached out to complete the job the next day. Job is done I guess. I thought I had a broken sewer line so I called Mid Valley based on the good reviews. I was not disappointed. Jonathan came the same day and quickly determined that it was simply some broken abandoned sprinklers that I didn't even realize were there. Even after finding the broken sprinklers, he made sure to check several other things just to be sure. I was so relieved to find it was a simple repair. And I commend him for being so honest. After fiddling around with my tub and shower, he basically gave up on fixing things and stopped returning my messages and calls. I have had to find a new plumber to fix the things he left incomplete and to fix the original problems. Although he appears to have done a decent job on my new tankless water heater, all the other work was left incomplete. It seems like he prefers to do rough plumbing instead of finish work. Our household plumbing had been running a little, then a lot, more slow than usual. I called Mid Valley Rooter and Jonathan answered right away. He was courteous and knowledgeable and we scheduled a visit for his to assess our situation. He arrived promptly at our appointed time. D started our project. Timing was perfect as we were likely days to hours away from a backup and overflow. He worked hard to get a pumping service out immediately and to our surprise, out tank exceeded the volume of the truck that had been sent out. Needless to say, the pump service had to come out a second time the following morning. Apparently they intended to charge additional fees but Jonathan stood up for us and the original agreement and got them to honor that commitment. He and Alex got our system cleaned out and installed risers for easier access in the future. Jonathan did a great job, communicated throughout the process and worked overtime to get the job done in less than 2 days - delayed primarily because the pump service was not able to empty our system in a single visit. He was clear and upfront about what needed to be done and what the cost would be. He did not exceed the estimate and agreed upon price and we are very pleased with the end result. My toilets and shower clogged up and for three days I was unable to use them. I got in touch with Mid Valley Rooter Services and Jonathan came to the rescue. He looked at the problem and gave me a quote which he honored. That in itself was remarkable these days, as I have been given quotes before and then charged above that due to a long list of "extras" added to the original quote. This was not the case with Mid Valley Rooter Service. Jonathan dug a hole, replaced the pipe that was the cause of the problem, and got everything flowing again. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service provided by Mid Valley Rooter Service! When I initially called about getting a faucet leak fixed, I expected that the soonest someone could come out would be the following week or I wouldn't get a call back at all. It's pretty sad when you grow accustomed to not getting a quick response from a plumber in the valley. However, Jonathan of Mid Valley Rooter Service called me back right away. He was even planning to come out the same day even though he had 3 other jobs ahead of me. I appreciated the constant communication he provided to let me know where he was in the queue of jobs and he was willing to come out late to my house even though his other customer repairs took longer than expected. I opted to wait until the following day and he and Juan were promptly at my house as scheduled. They took a look at my issue and gave me an honest opinion of what needed to be done. I had the choice of buying a new faucet myself and replace the existing (old) one which was the problem causing my leak. He would have walked away without charging me. What plumber does that? I decided to have him replace the old faucet for me and he even went to purchase the new one for me! He took a picture of several faucets and sent them to me via text to have me choose the one I wanted. What plumber does that? It was so nice and extremely convenient for me to not have to drive to Lowe's and buy one myself! Anyhow, he and Juan returned promptly and had my faucet installed within 30 minutes. When our hot water heater stopped heating our water the weekend of Easter, we purchased a new one from a local supplier and reached out to five recommended plumbers. One returned our call almost immediately, but his installation price was over twice what we paid for the heater. Of the remaining four, only two returned our call. When asked for an installation cost (range), one company said they wouldn't do it over the phone. Jonathan called within a few hours at the end of a very long Saturday. He was so friendly and professional. No sales job at all. His quote was very reasonable and competitive. He was very sympathetic over our situation and offered to send a crew out on Easter, but we refused as we felt both he and his employees deserved to be with their families. We agreed on an installation for the following Monday, two days later, with a quoted price over the phone. Jonathan stayed in contact with us via text on Monday, keeping up informed of the estimated time of arrival. Unfortunately, there were unforeseen problems after he arrived, but not once did Jonathan appear anything but professional. Once the heater was installed, he offered to wait 30 minutes to make sure the water heated properly. It was already 8 p.m. and he had another customer to get to. We told Jonathan to go take care of his next customer, and we would let him know the next morning if any problems incurred. We had hot water within 30 minutes. During the installation, it was discovered that we have another plumbing problem that needs to be addressed at a later time. We have already hired Jonathan to do the job.
