With accts of all kinds, transactions of all types, all over the country via this credit union with NEVER A PROBLEM, for well over 30 years+. These folks at ALL of their MANY Locations can be counted on to be HONEST, UP-FRONT AND TIMELY IN ALL TRANSATIONS. Have accts with many other banking institutions that have had all kinds of concerns and problems, yet NEVER with this established business of WELL over 50yrs in Central Oregon. We have a trailer, truck and suv loan thru them and had to open a checking account which is fine, but since we use our other one they charge us $5 a month. We have had other loans also and bring plenty of business so charging us for a checking account that we don't use after all of the loans doesn't sit well. Also I don't want to use a checking account with them because the employees are rude, never had a good experience. read more

You do not want to trust this financial institution with your money. Please take my experience to heart, and go elsewhere. I had my car loan here. So I opened a checking account here. I soon ended up trading in said vehicle, and was expecting a refund check from dealership. MidOregon had no interest in the loan at this time, as loan had been paid in full, and I had documented proof in form of letter from them stating such. However...when refunded money came through, it was refunded to MidOregon. Not a problem, as I was their customer, and had my checking acct with them. It was deposited into my acct. Except, it was an overpayment. I called dealership. I asked about the amount paid. I was told my refund was my refund. Cool, right? I did not remove money. I did not hide money. It was about 3500 more than what I was expecting. I kept it right there in the account. Typically, my account has about 8500 in it anyways, so it was padded a bit more. So, 1 month later...3400 gets pulled out of my account one day. No call. No notice. No nothing. Just a note on withdrawal in app that shows its gone with "2429.36 actually". I call bank and ask what is going on. I am told that their Vendor Partner initiated an email request stating that a refund needed to be issued on their mutual customer. That, being me. Remember...this is the company that no longer holds an interest in my loan. It has been paid off in full 5 months earlier. MidOregon not only removed that 3400, but also froze my ENTIRE bank account, of which had 5700 of my money that was never in dispute...causing vendor issues with me and my business, they bounced back a $100 payment to Capital One that unfortunately tried to clear during this period, and just seriously handled this in a way that I'm not even entirely sure is even legal. So, I ask...do you really want your money/financial security housed in a place that does this kind of thing, and shrugs it off like it's no big deal? I truly hope not. There are better Credit Unions in town to do business with. read more

I have banked here for a little more than a decade, have multiple accounts for a couple of businesses as well as personal accounts. It has now come to a point where I HATE going to the bank or having to work with them in any way. The bulk of it has come after 'changing their systems' but I have never felt like a bigger idiot that has no idea what she's talking about than when I roll up to this bank.. I give them one of my member numbers, they respond with I dont see any accounts in your name.. wtf? (There's a dozen!) And don't even get me started on the treatment through the pandemic. Thanks for that by the way. I can't speak for others but the value of my accounts should have no bearing on the treatment of a person, and that's saying something because my accounts are far from empty. I love the credit union model, but I would steer clear of this one. read more

I cannot say enough great things about my Redmond branch! From tellers, to loan officers to the amazing manager John Nielsen who save me over $4,000 from up-charges on my auto loan from an unscrupulous car dealer. I walked in upset over what had been done, they ran my credit app thru a half dozen loan institutes before trying my credit union for an approved loan (I was new to buying and didn't go to my credit union first ... lesson learned). But within minutes calls were made and the BS dealer was set in their place! The customer service goes way beyond this though, each and every experience with my Redmond branch is a true joy and a highlight of the day ... in 45 years of using financial institutions I've experienced none better. Nothing but problems since day 1. They seem very motivated to get your deposit, and then do everything in their power to keep it. Have had issues with not being able to use my debit card, send ACH transactions, & wire transfers. Don't bank here. read more

It's so funny to me that this has a low rating. I have been using Mid Oregon at this specific location for years now. I have had many friendly interactions with tellers and loan officers alike! For my first car finance, I was given an unheard of low interest rate and as a single mom, that was so amazing and helpful. They are so quick to help with debt consolidation and I even once had a overdraft fee taken off of my account since it was my first and only and it was a hard month. I love credit unions because I feel that they genuinely care about their patrons. I would and have recommended this bank to friends and family and will continue to do so. We've banked with Mid Oregon for 10+ years and have had nothing but good experiences. Years ago they provided us with a great second mortgage offer. They also gave us a much more aggressive car loan rate than the dealer. We have several accounts with them as do our teens. Service is consistently good albeit there can be a bit of a wait at time (e.g. Friday afternoons). read more

I made the mistake of depositing a "large" ($1500 is large? please... it's your typical paycheck amount) check into their ATM earlier this month and because it was Veteran's Day and a "new account" they put it on EXTENDED HOLD UNTIL NOVEMBER 29th. Even AFTER I emailed the President Kevin Cole to take off the overdraft fees that ate up a THIRD of my check, he only took off $270 after he "released" the hold and yet I was STILL getting hit with $27 every time I used my card to make a purchase!! Here at Mid Oregon Credit Union you can expierence being treated like an inconvience by rude and incompetent staff, blantaly lied to in the form of being told they have "policies" for not helping you which don't actually exist, extremely long lines only to get up front and be treated like your worst nightmare at the DMV, and if that isn't enough cause you're a gluten for punishment just wait till they open their smug mouths, again, just to lie to your face while looking u dead in the eyes. I've officially had it and will be closing my account tomorrow after the nightmare I experienced today where not only was I, SUPRISE, lied to. But when I called another branch to see if they were actually telling the truth, the real cherry on this turd Sunday was when she put me on hold for awhile only to get back on the line and say "oh god, you're actually still there" then to tell me her manager had left for the day, which was why I was put on hold, and was going to transfer me. Redmond is my home station with them but I use all of the offices and have never been happier with a credit union in any part of the country I have lived in. They saved me from an unauthorized charge on my account and I truly am a customer for life. read more

We are now in our eighties and have been banking with efficient credit unions all our adult lives. Stuck with Mid-Oregon for four years hoping their customer service would improve. Perhaps the new Prineville lady will help them rededicate their mission of serving their customer base. We jumped to OnPoint two years ago and are delighted that credit unions can still be bellwethers of the financial industry. Mid-Oregon has a long way to go. read more

I had an account here for a few years. Basically just a place that I kept some money and had a direct deposit go into. Recently when I asked them to transfer money from a debit card into my savings from another bank, they screwed up royally. They transferred the money just fine BUT then did it again 2 days later which caused checks I had written at the OTHER bank to bounce. When I went to mid Oregon to tell them what they had done, they insisted the problem had been resolved almost as soon as it happened and that the " glitch" had affected about 600 other people. I spent over a week and wasted untold hours of my time running back and forth every single day between the two banks trying to fix their screw up. Each time I left mid Oregon, I was ensured the problem was fixed and the money would be returned to my account that day. I finally lost my temper after being lied to and getting the run around for a week . I refused to leave the counter until I saw my money transferred back into my account via my phone app. It took over a week and me finally becoming a rude jerk but the problem was actually fixed in about 20 minutes. If I screw up my account, there are fees and penates ect but mid Oregon just acted like they were doing me a favor by fixing the problem. When I told them I'd be happy to accept cash that I could bring to my other bank and let them spend as much time as they need to get the money bank to their own account, they said " why should we do that, we didn't lose your money, we use a outside company to do transfers so it's there mess up". WTF??? It literally took me being an asshole to get this problem fixed. I'm convinced I'd still be chasing this money otherwise. I took my money out of there needless to say. There are too many competent banks around to have to deal with that kind of stuff and the addutude that comes with it. Keep a close eye on any money you put in here because they clearly can't. read more
