Giving one star because giving zero stars isn't an option.
I was a patient at this office from my childhood to adolescence, 1994-2005 timeframe, and Dr. Daniel Carroll was my dentist. Being someone who had poor teeth from the time I was a baby (heredity) and having had a less than desirable experience at my very first dentist (I was 6 and the dentist didn't have a good track record with children), my mother felt extremely comfortable taking me here because Dr. Carroll was excellent with children. I do not fault her for this. As a child, I loved visiting Dr. Carroll, the stuffed animals they let you hold during dental procedures was great, as well as the toy chest you got to visit before you left!
It wasn't until my early-twenties that we learned how terrible a mistake it was to place my dental care in the hands for Dr. Carroll. I am now 29, and in the last six years I have undergone 3 extractions (not my wisdom teeth), 1 abscess, 3 root canals, 5 crowns, and had 1 bridge placed. Yes, part of the reason for this is the fact that I didn't have dental insurance during college and my teeth suffered, but Dr. Carroll is mostly to blame. My current dentist, whom is hands down the best dentist I have ever visited, informed me that the dental work I had received on my adult teeth was less than subpar. He explained that when the original cavities were filled, all of the decay wasn't removed/drilled out. While my teeth looked beautiful on the outside, they were rotting from the inside out. This is why my teeth appeared fine, until they broke off and exposed decaying tooth and/or abscessed.
I would go back to this office and pursue legal action but I believe that the statue of limitations is up. All I can do now is warn today's parents to stay away from this office and Dr. Carroll at all costs. read more
