Unfortunately because of the pandemic, I've had to be on a different insurance for a few months and my regular dentist didn't accept it. Dr. Robb did, and I'm glad because they have treated me kindly and I already know I want to stay with them when my insurance changes yet again in a couple of months. My first visit was my reg "6 month" visit that I was a few months late on. I have to get periodontal maintenance so I was hoping the hygienist would be good and she was awesome! Alicia did a good job not only with my sensitivity, but she was kind and gentle. Met Dr. Robb and she was really nice. Had to go back today for a couple of cavities and her and the assistant did a good job of keeping me comfortable. I believe there are another 1or 2 dentists there. I'm sticking with her! The office is small, & I'm ok with that. Coming from a bigger place, I realized I don't need all those extra frills-coffee, water, cookies. TV! I did get a temperature check both times, staff wears masks, as do customers, and I had to fill out a questionnaire both times. All good precautions for any viral sickness really..... After 1 visit here, my daughter LOVES the dentist. Every hygienist has been great, kind and are always giving positive reinforcement. So I looked into local pediatric dentist and this one seemed good. we went in with our family dentist care plan and the tooth that needed the fillling. they insisted that they needed to asses her themselves and since our insurance was going to cover it I said okay. They then proceeded to tell me that my daughter needed 6 fillings and 3 crown!!!! Again we see our family dentist every 6 months and get yearly xrays done. I felt completely overwhelmed when we left after the initial visit but knowing we needed the one tooth filled i agreed to a slow treatment plan with the first vist tackling the original tooth we went in for and one crown. They contacted my insurance and gave me our cost for everything. I then had my daughters new X-rays sent to our regular dentist since we had cleanings in just a few weeks. After the initial visit with Clarkston pediatric dentistry filling the original tooth we went in for our cleanings with our family dentist he took a look at her X-rays and said do not let them do anymore crowns since those teeth were baby teeth and not long for this wold. I felt horrible that I put my daughter through all that and almost let them give her a moth full of metal. Since then 2 of those teeth are very near falling out and one is already out. they also charged me more after I canceled the remaining appointments which were several weeks out. this was on top of the original payment I made and what my insurance paid. I see though that they are doing away with delta dental because they can not agree on prices and what they should charge for services. In my opinion this place is strictly in it for the money they will fill fill fill any tooth to get paid. Please be careful and get a second opinion if you get told a ridiculous amount of work that needs to be done on your child's mouth.

The hygienists, assistants, techs, etc are equally as great. I see Dr. Birchmeier and I think he is a great dentist. He has his quirky dentist jokes and asks questions when he has his hands in your mouth! He really cares about his patients and when you have work done other than cleaning, he makes sure it's done right and looks great. The patient area is open and bright. So if you hate the dentist, this set up will help out with the anxiety. It's not a white sterilized room with tools laying around. And they have TV's on the ceiling!

Giving one star because giving zero stars isn't an option…read more I was a patient at this office from my childhood to adolescence, 1994-2005 timeframe, and Dr. Daniel Carroll was my dentist. Being someone who had poor teeth from the time I was a baby (heredity) and having had a less than desirable experience at my very first dentist (I was 6 and the dentist didn't have a good track record with children), my mother felt extremely comfortable taking me here because Dr. Carroll was excellent with children. I do not fault her for this. As a child, I loved visiting Dr. Carroll, the stuffed animals they let you hold during dental procedures was great, as well as the toy chest you got to visit before you left! It wasn't until my early-twenties that we learned how terrible a mistake it was to place my dental care in the hands for Dr. Carroll. I am now 29, and in the last six years I have undergone 3 extractions (not my wisdom teeth), 1 abscess, 3 root canals, 5 crowns, and had 1 bridge placed. Yes, part of the reason for this is the fact that I didn't have dental insurance during college and my teeth suffered, but Dr. Carroll is mostly to blame. My current dentist, whom is hands down the best dentist I have ever visited, informed me that the dental work I had received on my adult teeth was less than subpar. He explained that when the original cavities were filled, all of the decay wasn't removed/drilled out. While my teeth looked beautiful on the outside, they were rotting from the inside out. This is why my teeth appeared fine, until they broke off and exposed decaying tooth and/or abscessed. I would go back to this office and pursue legal action but I believe that the statue of limitations is up. All I can do now is warn today's parents to stay away from this office and Dr. Carroll at all costs.
