We chose the decor and Jake and Sherri managed the deconstruction, supply and install. This included painting of both the master ensuite and our bedroom + installation of new fans, walk-in shower, walk-in closet, heated tile floors, vanity and barn doors. Jake came up with an innovative idea to resolve a complex fan installation in a peaked vaulted ceiling. The barn doors took a bit of infill construction to replace the old French doors and upper window separating the master onsite. We were also very satisfied with the expertise of their electrical, plumbing, dry-walling and painting subcontractors. After 2.5 years we are more than happy with the results and budget was kept in check on an on-going basis. We purchased a commercial space in a new building in 2018 which required considerable work to finish. Bohmer was our first choice to complete this task which included the addition of 3 separate rooms, painting and the hanging of barn doors. Time was of the essence as our tenants were preparing to move in ASAP. An estimate was completed and adjustments were several as per changing tenant requirements. Bohmer came in on time, our tenants were and still are amazed with the space. Bohmer remains our first choice in the Comox Valley for renovation. Thank you Jake and Sherri.

We made a mistake of hiring these contractors to do our renovation...the quality of finishes is…read moreatrocious, tiling was done very poorly... really a waste of good tiles. The flooring was done poorly as well, no sub-floor was placed and no leveling of the existing floor was done. The new flooring was cut so unevenly that the crooked edges could not be hidden by the baseboards. Oh,and the job was not finished after all, since accepting the fact that their work was shoddy was apparently below them. We had to hire a new contractor to redo much of their work (i.e. installing an entrance door properly instead of hanging it on the siding, and cutting the closet doors since the closet they made was not square or standard size), and to complete our renovation. No skill, no pride. Do not make the same mistake...just don't.

Hired D W to do our bathroom Reno. It was a complete job. The job was slow and D W hired…read morepeople to help that were not experienced. They were learners. Anyway the job was quoted and we have it on paper. A few days left to completion, when the toilet , vanity and odds and sod had to cleaned up the contractor on Monday morning packed up his tools and left our home.He had decided that he wasn't making enough money on the job (quoted from some one who does this for a living) and that at this point he needed more money to complete his job. I was out at the time he left so with the tools all packed up I guess he wasn't expecting we would deal, that's why the tools went. He cleaned up slightly but has left our deck and back of our house a mess. All windows to be washed , siding needs washing and so on. Now we are left visiting a lawyer and hiring new contractors to finish the job.This mans quotes were no good to us. The job was supposed to take 3 1/2 week but we are now at 5 weeks.All so all the time D W he did not show up for work after leaving you notes saying he would be there and then not showing up. We keep all paper work. Thanks for the incomplete work.
