Wish I could give a zero. My family has been with Mid-hudson Medical since the beginning. Its more than 15 years now. We have seen continuous erosion in the basic care to the point where all they do is write on the damn ipad, fill in blanks and move you along. They don't care about anything. You cannot get through on the phone. They never call with lab results...honestly its been a year waiting on blood work, urinalysis and the other tests from my illness last spring. I cant take off work to go there, but don't worry, if you owe them a $20 copay that got declined they hound you night and day. Originally our PCP was Joe Garvey, He became President and CEO, okay we get that, then they gave us Epstein who about 18 months ago "was not a PCP anymore and we can't talk about it"! What is that? Now we have no PCP...we are in a pandemic with no PCP and there is nobody to talk to. You wait 9 months for a physical. I'm 65 now so this is an issue. Today they call to reschedule it with no reason. I ask about the results of my last lab work, she says she can transfer me to the people who can help me. I tell her its been a year. She says well they are working remote. Like that is an intelligent response. So she transfers me, it rings non stop for 17 minutes with nobody picking up then you guessed it...it disconnects me. These people and this Group are incompetent. All they care about is getting your money. read more

There are pupy mills & there are human mills. Year ago I seen a primary there & every time it was refill time I was told he is not in this week call next Monday. My question to these bright helpful people was, excuse me does this place close due to Dr. X, not being here? Please get the Dr. who is filling in for him and have the nurse & Dr. get my scripts ready for me. Pass the buck! My mother goes there because she likes her primary, but I wish she would find another place. They don't care about your health. I was told by my primary when I was going there to see the ortho there! Um , thats right he was the Dr. who got busted for doing wrong. The problem is thats all there is in Hudson Valley is the mills for money. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. This place is terrible. I do not think they have qualified doctors working in the walk in center, in the Poughkeepsie location. MY husband has been misdiagnosed on two occasions. Last summer he was extremely ill, and was violently vomiting. The Dr. at the walk in center, told him he was "just tired". Later that day, we went to the ER at St. Francis and come to find out he had pneumonia. Just a few days a go his left leg swelled up and had gotten extremely infected. Again, the Dr. at the walk in center told him "he must have scratched his leg, and put Neosporin on it". Later this week, he saw a REAL doctor. (Dr. K) and she diagnosed him with a poisonous spider bite. He is now on 2 antibiotics. Still, he had no blood work done! I am currently in search for a new practice! read more

I totally agree with the dissatification of the review from January above. I am only down to one doctor at MHMG ONLY because I really like him. As for the staff, they seem friendly enough, but everytime I go there the staff is talking gossip, laughing loudly, allowing the telephone to ring, and just so unprofessional. I recieved a phone call stating my appt has been cancelled but try calling back to reschedule. You cannot get through or you leave a message w/Kerri the Dr's nurse and never receive a call back. This has also been this way for many years in the past w/other doctors @ MHMG. This must be a criteria for MHMG: inefficiency and unprofessionalism. Since it was bought out by Mt Kisco Medical Group, this place is absolutely terrible!!! I had a test done there in January to see if I needed further testing done. The report was read on the same day. They NEVER sent my results to my doctor which ordered the test! My dr's office even called them to get the results and Mt. Kisco told them, sorry we cant release the results to you the patient has to call. I called numerous times and left msgs and NO ONE called me back. Finally a MONTH later, I finally got the results after I had to call and speak to 2 different Managers. Which come to find out I do have to get further testing done, which I could have already had done if they had sent my results! I am so fed up! On top of all of this. I just got a bill in the mail for $500. When I went in for the appointment they verified my insurance and never once told me they didn't participate with my insurance! I have made appointments there in the past and they took my insurance when it was Mid Hudson Medical Group. Must say I am so disgusted with this place and will NEVER go back! read more

Like Sam H., I complained to management about aspects of the practice -- issues with care received by my 89-year-old mother and assorted hassles in trying to secure appropriate care for her -- and was "terminated" as a patient. Even worse, my mother was terminated, too, even though she had not complained, leaving her with no doctors after two recent life-threatening hospitalizations. The issues with MHMG weren't trivial -- in fact, at least one of them could have killed her. This practice is morally bankrupt as well as inept. read more

Having increasing bouts of arthritis I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Maryann Wysell, a Rheumatologist. The physician spent time, answered questions thoroughly and ordered several tests including a bone scane to assess any underlying issues. Nearly one month later Dr. Wysell has yet to contact me to advise about test results. Her nurse did call and left a message two weeks after the test saying that the report showed no evidence of several things and that they would "speak with me next week." No other contact was received. I have opted to follow up with my primary, who does return calls and provide followup. Will not return to this practice. read more

I see Dr Otero, I like her a lot. She's nice, professional and I've never had any problems other than sometimes they are very busy and it's hard to get an appointment. read more

Wow. Where do I start. Scheduling an appt. for orthopedics almost impossible. Phone calls not returned. Prescription called in to pharmacy 3 weeks after appt. I am just so upset about how this practice dealt with me as a human being. Probably would have gotten better treatment in a third world country. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

Your just a number when you go here. And the in-house Hopewell office leaves way too much to be desired. The lab is often very busy and the staff complain in front of the pts. One of my last visits there they put another pts. name on my blood samples. EWWW! This happened even after I told the yakker who drew my blood to please make sure she put my name on the tubes. She gave me a half cockeyed look and said, "oh, I will!" Yea she sure did!!! I went in for my results and the Dr. told me that I had diabetes, high cholesterol and a UTI!!! For the record, I'm in good health. I told the Dr. the problem I had in the lab and even he looked at me like I was a nut! Their perfect practice isn't so perfect!! Shortly after that something much worse happened that is too long for me to write here. Another doctor and another nurse!! I really do not like this group!!! I tried to complain, but the office manager was on vacation. Awful experience. And it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. read more

Today I went to there new location in Kinston,NY. There I saw a orthopedic P.A. Upon checking in with the office secretary she was very short and snippy. During my wait in the office waiting room I was disgusted to hear that same secretary talking quite loudly to another office staff member quite loudly. She was making fun of a patient that had called on the phone continuously, mimicking her voice and telling anyone on staff about the patient that had called what a pain she was. I've been in the medical profession for 25 years and have never hear anything like this. At the very least her action can be called highly unprofessional and uncaring. I was embarrassed for the patient on the phone. The PA I saw was friendly, attentive and informative although the time spent between waiting for him to get organized and help the other office staff was quite a wait. Many patients came and went while I waited. Also apparently they've never heard of HIPPA because all the doctors kept the doors open for other people to hear what was going on in the other rooms. Although the orthopedic care was dwindled down to only big medical groups in the hudson valley. I will seek care out of town to find a much more professional staff. read more
