If I could give less than one star I would. Do not buy from this store if you do not live in Madison County. Their service is non existent if you live further away. We have purchased several appliances from them. We were lucky not to have problems so far with the first two appliances we bought.Our last purchase was a refrigerator that did not work correct from the moment we plugged it in. When I called about it I was told I was out of their service area and they wouldn't do anything about it. No one tells you at the time of purchase about their service area restrictions. I was told to call the manufacture. It has been a total nightmare dealing with this. As of yet we still do not have a working refrigerator after 3 weeks. we went specifically for a gas range. found the one we liked, they didn't have the color we wanted but could order it. We had no problem with that. the store owner assured us we would be happy and said we could pay half now and half when it came in. Got to the cashier and they asked for full payment. we waited. when there was no contact and the arrival date had passed we contacted the store. The person we talked to could not find a record of it having been ordered. We were told the person who does the ordering would call us the next day. Again we waited. We had to call, he was very nice when we talked with him and he said he would keep us updated. He did not. Finally, over two months after they took our money, we got a call that the stove was in. From there the service was great. The lack of effort and the incompetence has left a bad taste, therefore we will not be going back to this company for future purchases. read more

Walked in with $600 and only wanted a couch. I recently filed bankruptcy so I wasn't going to ask about credit. I picked a couch and mentioned that I wanted delivery in 3 days for my new apartment. The lady said anything on sale could be purchased and delivered without having to order it. I was surprised that it didn't limit my choices much. For fun I looked at kitchen tables and fell in love with a large oak one. The sales lady (I don't recall her name) had the office clerk run my credit through a couple different lenders and I was APPROVED for $1,700. I got my couch, a table, and an arm chair. I was bummed when the delivery guy got wall paint on my couch. A quick call to the manager and I was instructed on how to get it off. They even called me back to make sure it came off. read more

I've been in Mid City a few times and been for the most part impressed every time. First off, you have to go in knowing this is a smaller city and they aren't gong to have as many choices as a Nebraska Furniture Mart. However, they do have a good selection. We went in looking for every appliance for the kitchen, and I mean EVERY appliance. We let one of the salesmen know this and let him know what we were looking for. He was very informative and helped us find the best products for our need. We had a lot to choose from, and he made sure we were selecting the ones that would work best for us. He then put it all in a package and was able to help us get a discount since we were buying so much. Which was so great, and so much appreciated! (We did go to NFM and they were not able to match the discount that Mid City gave us on the exact same products.) We had all the appliances delivered to us out of town and it was easy and they were great. About two weeks later, all this time the appliances were sitting in our garage, because we were waiting on carpet, we noticed the microwave had a problem. The back corner was bent and the box looked as though someone had dropped it on the corner. I called Mid City and let them know the situation and they had me send them pictures. I sent them pictures and I received a call that day saying they would exchange it for a brand new one at no problem at all. I was so appreciative that they worked with us so well on this and made sure we were 100% satisfied. I will continue to come here and give them our business. They are always helpful, not overly pushy, (a little bit at times, but what salesman isn't), and a local business. They service everything in town! We also signed up for Dish through them, and the process was just as wonderful and the staff knew what they were talking about. read more
